Rundum zufrieden! Wir waren mit 8 Personen dort, alle Gerichte waren total lecker- die Portionen wirklich ausreichend. Das Ambiente und der Service lassen keine Wünsche offen! Wir kommen gerne wieder! View menu

Unfortunately the food is not good. We've tried it a few times now. But the quality is bad. The schnitzels are done, the sauce from the bucket with powder and the mushrooms are not good at all. The salad has no taste.

This is a very original restaurant, lovingly decorated. The service is very good and friendly. The food was very tasty and filling. The price-performance ratio is good and the menu is well put together. There are meat, salads and vegetarian dishes. So go there.

"Today we made a small trip to the north of Saarland in a rainy but dry weather, to Losheim an See, although our intended destination would have been Lake Bostal. That's it. Actually, we really wanted to feel comfortable in the Hochwälder Wohlfühlhotel with coffee and cake; but was not. Ms. Nahles the SPD-Heroine, would have given Bätschi or another bullshit in her inimitable way. The hotel has no own café and the restaurant opens according to the very friendly lady at the reception only for large groups; a large group we were not at the best will. We didn't want to run to the Maison au lac because too far, and so we landed short-circuited right next to the hotel in the already known high-forest brewhouse . Ambience: brewhouse remains brewhouse, no matter where: plenty of wood, copper brewing boilers, rustic tables and rustic seating, no noise insulation speaks when it is full it is also loud to very loud. Cosy flair as it is to be read here at GG in another review may prevail on weekdays; on days like today, big days for the staff are just too loud and therefore not really comfortable. For example, I am am pleased with the Losheimstrand, with a high-forest in my hand. At today's outside temperatures, the Poet has certainly not been paid; the verse is like that. When assessing the ambience, I now imagine the brewhouse in quiet or that I would have sat in the beer garden with a wonderful view over the lake and not in the noise level: four stars. Cleanliness: If a table is left by guests, new guests will be rushing to it at least on days as today in seconds; Nevertheless, it is on the tables, as it is cleared directly, clean and even under the tables there is nothing around. Also the heavily frequented wet rooms (you know how to drive beer from your own experience) are clean. This is too praised and I therefore forgive four stars. Service: After the evening, the service really knows what he did. During the shift, the predominantly young service men really get the socks. Not only in the main room where we have to be served, but also in the next room as well as in the beer garden, where today only a few sprinkled leg hardes as well as moped drivers and smokers sat. We have experienced that something can be done in the hustle and bustle: a very friendly young lady in blond, who was responsible for our table, took the beverage order first of all only mine, as my wife had not yet decided. My drink brought another lady. A male serviceman came to us shortly afterwards, accepted my wife's beverage order and our food order. Another male serviceman brought my wife's drink. Then our blonde noise-golden gel came up again with us and bred his modern belly to speak his smartphone in the intention to now pick up our food order. I told her that a colleague had already recorded everything in this regard; they read to the safety of me what we had ordered. So did I. Later at dinner we noticed that a service power that was completely unknown to us until then with plates, on which the same food we had already before us crossed at the table. He stunned something and said: As I see you have already. For payment, the blonde noise gold angel was again with us; My wife said in advance of paying, I should definitely check on the proof that we might be charged twice. They didn't. Thus, five people were in service for our well-being, almost as in the star restaurant, only that it is more coordinated and more precise. Be it, I have my donable day today and forgive four stars for the service. Eating and drinking: I quote from the review of my GG predecessor : only qualitatively and tastefully in the lower average. Let's assume that at the time of his assessment the kitchen occupation really had not much to do, and certainly not had the intention of enjoying the guests, mainly running, culinary, and thus binding them to the house. Maybe at the time, it was really a satt make-up. What we found here today was solid and tasty brewhouse food. Point. My wife drank a reason why alcohol-free beer and the only beer to buy here. You are autark in the brewhouse, brewmaster Stefan Hahn braut here a high forest Hell, a Donatus Dark and a seasonal beer (e.g. wheat); for EUR 2,70 (0,3l) and EUR 3,85 (0,5l). I chose 0.5l high forests Hell; really very sinful. A natural beer with 11.4% stem wort and 4.8% alcohol is used exclusively for barley malt as well as for dark donatus, while wheat (the name says yes) is used for wheat and barley malt. The high forest is wild, which is why there is a lot of wild game here, especially wild game, on the menus all around, e.g. in autumn wild weeks, with a total of eight to twelve gastro farms in the region various wild dishes (Rotwild, Reh, Schwarzwild; seldom also offer fieldhase, fasan or vine). But outside the season you can occasionally eat wild here. For example, the Metzgerei Klos from Greimerath Currywurst, Wildsalami and Hirschburger provides everything from the local deer. In general, the brewhouse moves according to the motto Ebbes of Hei! (something from here) and used in the kitchen only fresh ingredients from the region (exception: shrimp and occasionally saltwater fish). My wife chose wildsalami from domestic hunting, abundantly garnished, with peasant bread (EUR 9,90), I chose Hirschburgeraus domestic hunting, with Pommes Frites, abundantly garnished for EUR 12,50. The salami was very good, the dark peasant bread also and the shrimp as promised abundant. The portion was so big that my wife (we had already eaten at home at noon) made himself a doggy bag with salami and peasant bread. My Hirschburger was delicious. I also liked that he was not cooked but medium with a tendency to rare; I love Burger. The Buns' lid was painted with the same beer jam and the burger rested on three thick tomato slices, which I quickly removed before the burger was consumed, and a cucumber salad bed and the Bun bottom. I've eaten the cucumbers, I'm half the salad. Overall we were very satisfied and I liked to spend three and a half stars for food and drink. Price-performance ratio : for us o.k., three and a half stars. Conclusion: we come back on a normal weekday."

"My best friend and I now celebrated on the 4th. Let's have a round birthday together. She's the first to do, I'll follow next year. A high on long-term friendship, you have to create! Between our birthdays are 367 days. Your 50th birthday party will be moved in the summer and our plan was our 99th. to celebrate very close circle. Girlfriend, man, daughter, PetraIO and her favorite companion. The village of Weiskirchen in the Saarland gave my girlfriend a wellness weekend. The Saturday evening should not take place at the hotel and so I was allowed to deal with the few alternatives. I immediately discovered the School Kättchen. At the menu, I immediately knew everyone was going to be there. And the ambience with the greatest possible omission of electric light would also please my full romantic friend. She is also a teacher. The more than 160-year-old farmhouse served temporarily as a school, a traveling teacher taught here. At the same time we arrived in front of the rustic farmhouse and entered the original premises through a heavy wooden door. . There is still much in the original state, e.g. the old tile floor, wooden beams etc. It is complemented with harmonious decoration from past times. The guest room is actually only illuminated with candles and a few light chains. , Very unusual, but the eyes quickly became accustomed to the cozy light. The presumed head of the house was right at the place and supplied us with food and drinks cards. Also the rest of the evening she accompanied us sovereignly, supported by Mr Repplinger. We were the first guests, briefly exchanged congratulations and gifts, and within 5 minutes almost all tables were occupied. That was incredibly fast and I was very happy to have booked in time. For aperitif we chose 3 x Riesling Sekt from Moselweingut Rosch € 5,00 0.1 l and 1 x Campari Orange € 4.20. The “child” got a soft cocktail with orange juice and fresh pomegranate juice € 5,00. 2 bottles of Tönissteiner mineral water, € 6,00 0,75 l. 1 apple juice choir, € 4,00 0.4 l. Our appetizers: For my husband: 3 potato buffer with applesa € 8.70. The potato buffer homemade and crispy baked, with plenty of apple. One of my husband's favorite foods, unfortunately there are the potato buffers in the gastronomy much too rarely freshly prepared. This was absolutely the case here and so it tasted. For my girlfriend and me: goat cheese congratulates on leaf salad € 13.80. A large slice of mild creamy goat cheese, congratulates with good and taste-intensive honey. For this impeccable leaf salad with very good and light balsamicodressing. Gratined goat cheese with salad The daughter was satisfied with a colourful supplement salad € 4.50 and her father with herbal quarter with garlic and fresh land bread € 4.50. In front of the main foods we stumbled in the very well placed wine map. The good houses are represented by the German winemakers. You can't make a mistake when ordering. The foreign wines certainly also, but I cannot judge that. Our choice fell to the 2017 Riesling, again from Rosch, Leiwen. 0.2 l € 6.50. And the 2018 Grauburgunder from the pfälzer Weingut Klaus Meyer, Roth. 0.2 l € 6.50. Our dishes were served together and on well preheated plates. For my husband and my friend: truffleravioli (from the Pastamanufaktur Romana, Homburg), olive oil, tomato garlic and 3 Black Tiger shrimps. truffleravioli, olive oil, black tiger shrimps For me the same dish, but with 3 scallops. € 19,50. truffleravioli, olive oil, 3 scallops The shrimps and scallops really big and roasted on the point glassy. The Ravioli could have been a few more. Also the truffle taste quite behave, but the spicing of the kitchen made up everything here. Very good olive oil, the garlic well dosed, very fine! The child liked the small portion spaghetti with 3 Black Tiger Shrimps € 17,50. The portion was not small at all, but the pasta and shrimp lover mastered the portion perfectly. And our friend the vegetables chicken pan, slightly sharp, € 17,50. Potatoes and plenty of fresh Mediterranean vegetables served as a chicken fillet. Here too, everything was for satisfaction. This time a dessert was not allowed to miss the offer. Our presumed chief in the service was available with advice and deed. 2 x cream brûlèe with self made raspberry sorbet € 7.80 for mother and father that creamy sorbet the mutti migrated to daughter. Cream brûlèe with raspberry sorbet 1 x world best chocolate pudding from 70%chocolate, with cherry ragout € 6.80 for my husband. However, he ordered the cherry ragout. He probably wanted to devote himself to the pudding and he was really incredibly good. World's best chocolate pudding from 70 %chocolate without cherry ragout Also for me a minidessert: 1 balls homemade pistachio ice cream € 3,00. I like pistachio ice cream. But where is there a good one? It tastes like pistachios and not aroma? HERE! Tastefully top and Mr Repplinger confirmed my suspicion: In the kitchen the Pacojet helps! This part is really worth his money. But the ice mass must, of course, vote. I liked to take the Physalis to the ice, and I could have forgot the dough. The kitchen did so much good and homemade this evening, so the industry didn't really fit waffle rolls. Small and fine: Perfect pistachio ice cream 1 espresso € 2.00 and 1 latte Macciato € 2,80 there was also. When paying at the counter, I asked the young man who was probably primarily responsible for the drinks, as the “School” is now said. I was wrongly on the English trip. But no, very typical Saarland “School”. A really successful evening and a very personal little birthday party were finished. We were all thrilled and sure: we will be back soon. And not until you can enjoy the food in the lush natural garden! Photographing was really a challenge this evening. Just candles, beautiful. I didn't want to take pictures with Blitz. The cosiness was certainly not created to interfere with lightning. All dishes were beautifully dressed and of impeccable quality."
