"Waterfalls is deservedly popular, and on previous visits we've found orders a bit slow to come, but this time we were delighted with how quick it was. (You order at the counter, and they bring the food to you. Two of us had excellent and very large slices of quiche with salad, and the others had lentil croquettes and chickpea croquettes, again with salad again, quite copious servings. The salad was lightly dressed and came with a bottle of ready made vinaigrette if that wasn't enough. Fruit juices (apple, apple/elderflower were local. Waterfalls doesn't really do desserts, but there's an impressive range of cakes. We actually had a lot of time to kill, so we sat and chatted and nobody minded or wanted us to hurry up. Bill came to about a tenner a head, including fruit juice (and 2 coffees"

Not a bad place to stop whilst in town. Limited menu. Service can be a bit slow. Medium range prices. Can takeaway food. Seating not that comfy.

Over the years we have met more friends here for lunch or coffee than probalby anywhere else in town. Healthy eating and lovely cakes without being over precious.

The atmosphere is somewhere between refined and twee, so a fairly peaceful place that I was happy to spend some time in on a weekend in Hastings. Between average and very good I would say

A lovely little place above the gift shop. Stopped for a small bite to eat after some shopping. The menu is very small however our paninis were Not! Absolutely delicious and all freshly made.

Nice café using good ingredients on fist floor above interesting gift shop. Quiet and civilised, pleasant old fashioned service and excellent cooking with an emphasis on the healthy. Not really a place to take noisy kids, more like aunt Ethel's sort of haunt, but this is a very good place to know

We were taken here by a relative, and what a gorgeous place. The vegetarian food looked and tasted amazing. The macaroni cheese was fantastic. Interesting salad and all served in wonderful surroundings. I would love to visit again. To reach upstairs you also need to walk through an interesting gift shop.

We were heading back to the car from the True Crime museum on a chilly day, and decided a cuppa would warm us up. after looking around the shop, we went upstairs and found a nice quiet seat. We chose Tea and couldnt resist the cake either. They were both very nice and it was lovely to have a bit of cake that wasnt dry. We will deffinitely return soon.

Booked a cream tea here for last Wednesday to celebrate our 53rd wedding anniversary. It was absolutely wonderful. Very large scones with pots of cream and jam, two pots of tea and a slice of gateau each and the price was very reasonable. The staff were very helpful and the manager was brilliant. Will definitely visit again next time we are in Hastings.

Popped in on a Saturday lunchtime and just managed to get a table as it was busy as usual. A good selection of hot meals and lovely selection of cakes. The service was very good with plenty of staff all buzzing around keeping the restaurant looking neat and tidy. We find it a very pleasant place to visit. There is also a really nice gift shop on the ground floor.
