"I have no experience from other Vietnamese restaurants, so I wouldn't know if the food is high standard in comparison or if it's genuinely good Vietnamese food. All I can say is: I love it! The service is incredibly quick, the staff is really sweet but not all of them speak English. However, they do have menus in English so it's usually not a problem. I'm a vegetarian and I must say the tofu is brilliant never had such perfectly made tofu anywhere else. I don't like the jelly-ish texture tofu usually has, but at Lily they make it firm and golden brown. The interior is wonderful, the prices are good and I've had an exclusively positive experience everytime I've been there."

I booked into my hotel in the evening just off Karl Marx Allee so I went searching for a bite to eat and came across this wonderful Vietnamese restaurant I eat here twice it does wonderful tofu dishes and meat and fish as well caters...for vegans Very tasty food

Wonderful Vietnamese restaurant. Fine food and customer service. I am an American visiting Berlin and staying in the area. After a heavy lunch I found this place to be just right for dinner. Their menu is available in English. Service was gracious and expert in spite of the language issues.

We read the good reviews of this restaurant and went there. Firstly, we ordered summer roll which the servant recommended. it was a thick gel around it. may be we should know what this roll might be before we bought it. But we did not...like it. secondly, we got the Vietnamese nationbal soup. Not tasty at all. and with rubber-like meat.

This restaurant is off the bitten path, but quiet and wonderful! It is located off the U5 Bhn Weberweise stop in between Mitte, Prenzlauer Berg and Friedrichshain. The menu is simple and traditional and the decor is easy on the eyes. For lunch, I had some petite summer rolls that were crisp but not greasy and a coconut based noodle dish with vegetables that was heart warming and nutritious. If you are ever in the neighborhood and need a quick wholesome meal, Water Lily is the place!
