"The only positive aspect of this restaurant is its central location. Unfortunately, there are many negatives to consider. Upon arrival, we were ignored by two staff members who seemed preoccupied with other tasks. We eventually received assistance, but the new staff member was unable to give us directions to the nearest parking lot or a specific room. My room was a decent size, but had a musty smell. The bathroom was in poor condition, with mold and a worn-out appearance. I was grateful to have brought flip flops so I didn't have to walk on the carpet barefoot. The door handle was barely attached, and the carpet on the main staircase felt unstable. Overall, my experience was very disappointing, and I have no intention of returning. I was only there out of necessity, not choice."

We had a wonderful experience at this restaurant! Jacob was especially helpful during our fantastic dinner. I would give it 5 stars across the board and highly recommend it as the top spot to dine in Brecon.

A lovely lunch with great food and excellent service. We had earned lunch after waking up Pen y Fan and we we’re not disappointed. Great recommendations for vegetarian options from Jacob who looked after us very well. View menu

Staying in Brecon for a few days and tried the Wellington, for a large Hotel and part of a large chain had a good vibe and great service. Special mention to Jacob who was attentive and delivered service with a genuine smile.

We stayed at the Wellington over night, the service was lovely. Jacob in particular in the restaurant was lovely. The only thing I would say about our room, we were right by the door that all the other guests used to access their rooms, so rather loud!

Excellent Sunday lunch with excellent service from Jacob, thank you. Our table was ready on arrival, service was polite, informative and prompt. The food was very very good. The only negative was that the kitchen had ran out of roast potatoes. But the mash substitute was excellent. See you again! View menu

Passing Aberhonddu and fancied a bight to eat. Ordered the chicken burger and chips, and a pint of ipa. All of which came to £21.80. Felt that was a bit expensive especially the beer at £6.30 (certainly the most expensive pint I've had in Wales). The food was so-so but not really what I would call a plate-full. Staff were welcoming and friendly.

We were sat close to a very noisy group. We asked to move to another table as we couldn't even talk to each other, the shouting from the group was so loud. The group were moved to the back of the room but were not asked to be a little quieter. Other people started to leave the bar due to the noise. We sat at our table for over 15 minutes without anyone taking our order so we decide to leave as well.
