"Unfortunately I didn’t have a good time in this restaurant, mainly because of the incessant noise. The tables are very close to each other, the room was filled to crack, everyone tries to speak louder than the table next to get heard. If you want to blow and take a break at noon, I wouldn't recommend this restaurant. (It may not be the case out of tourist period however) On the card level, for big eaters it’s ideal, but for those looking for something more delicate it’s not too much that. Finally, I always find it awkward to see fresh tomato and cucumber pucks in the plate in the middle of December: off-season products, with no gustative interest and that rings the plate presentation. In short, I think the restaurant will appeal to customers in search of a “good franquette” and chichi-free experience, but not to customers looking for calm and refined cuisine."

A typical and renowned winstub from Strasbourg. We eat well. The skip to the queen is very good but I advise to take it as entry and order a main dish to complete more. The stock is top and the pane munster is excellent. But you have to take a dessert! For information: The torch and the cheesecake are mortal... Otherwise for the atmosphere trusted on the gouaille of the bosses If you are in the restaurant around 22:00 the bosses will tinter the restaurant bell to echo that of the cathedral and tell you a story about the origin of the restaurant's name....

We were in the city on a Saturday night and had not booked and were finding it difficult to obtain a table in any of the trendy restaurants. We asked here and the very charming waitress seated us straight away and also ran through the menu choices for us in very impressive English. The prices were fairly reasonable and the wine very good. My starter was huge-I almost wished I hadn't bothered! We all enjoyed our meals and the ambience of the place. The one negative was that the place was seriously understaffed-only one lady serving the whole place-she was seriously stressed at times and it showed in the length of time it took her to bring our bill-a let down after a good evening.
