"Quintessence: The service was not very professional. The food was okay, but one of the dishes we ordered was a catastrophe and some of their dishes are too overpriced. The restaurant itself lacks some concept mixing Korean (Bulgogi), Japanese (Ramen), Chinese (Bao) food despite having a Korean name (Yoon-Ji) and trying too hard to look like a street food restaurant. Moreover the food that they serve simply isn 't street food. In detail: I went to Yoon-Ji with a friend on a Saturday evening. We had no reservation and there was enough space for the two of us and a lot more guests. When we arrived I didn 't know they had two floors, of which one was totally empty. That day there were two waitresses. We ordered the homemade lemonade and the homemade ginger tea, kimchi, the tuna tataki with soba noodles, peanut sauce, sesame and daikon, the chicken ramen with pork belly, egg and spring onion and the salmon teriaky with rice and soybean sprouts salad. We first got our drinks, which were both okay. Then we got the tuna tataki and the salmon teriaky. After a short while the waitress came back with our chicken ramen and said you didn 't tell me you were missing another dish , which got us quite confused, because we thought the kitchen didn 't manage to finish all dishes at the same time. How were we supposed to know we had to tell our waitress we were missing another dish. We would have just waited for the rest. We were in no stress. Since it seemed like we had to remind our waitress, we told her we were still missing our kimchi. The tuna tataki was quite okay. The soba noodles were well seasoned and the quality of the tuna slices was very good. I didn 't like that they fry the outside parts of the tuna (even if it 's only a thin fried layer) and that they only serve four thin slices of tuna. This entree costs almost 10 Euros and is so rich that it could be a main course. In my opinion they could just leave the noodles and serve the tuna slices with a marinade for less money or add a few slices and leave the price be. I did not enjoy the salmon teriaky at all. The salmon was very well seasoned, but unfortunately it was dry. The rice was al dente and it was very difficult to chew. Rice is never served al dente in Asia. The soybean sprouts salad was oversalted. I get that it 's a contrast to the sweet teriaky sauce, but one should be able to eat every component of the dish on its own. The chicken ramen with pork belly is some kind of an odd dish. Why would you cook a chicken soup and add pork as a topping to it? Why not just cook a pork soup? The chicken soup was very thin and didn 't have a rich taste. It could have been the chicken soup of any Asian noodle soup. The noodles were okay. The highlight of this dish was the pork belly, which was tender and juicy. The dish wasn 't presented very nicely as the nori was just put on top of the soybean sprouts and the egg wasn 't cut into halves. The kimchi was okay, but a bit expensive for 5 Euros. My friend said it lacked a bit acidity, which is a sign that the kimchi wasn 't fermented long enough to develop the acidity. Nevertheless some people might prefer kimchi that way. It wasn 't bad. I did not like our service as much. Our waitress seemed a bit confused. She made a few bad jokes with other guests and got them upset. Moreover she was leaning on a table with both her arms while taking orders from abother table. I didn 't enjoy the interior design either. Just because you call your food street food you don 't have to try so hard to make your restaurant look it. They put a candle in a paper bag which just looks silly. In conclusion I have to say their food is not street food. Just because it 's trendy, you don 't have to call everything street food . Moreover the food is too expensive to be street food."

I visited Yoon-Ji, but there is no Yoon-Ji now. But I'm happy with food so I'm happy enough.

Large vegetarian options, nice location, very nice staff, the English language. We had the veggie rams and veggie bao... Both were delicious and came fast. We sat outside with a beautiful river view. Would definitely come back!

Nice place. Try getting a table in the basement, you'll have a view in the river. Also don't hesitate to ask for a vegan option, they'll most likely adapt like they did for me. Food was simple and good and the service was quick and friendly!

We ordered the Tataki and Kimchi roasted rice with pigs belly and both dishes were absolutely amazing! Very well seasoned and great balance. Service was friendly and efficient, inside is very easy, but offers plenty of space around the tables. View menu

Excellent staff with a great sense of humor. The food is good but less spicy than we would typically expect from a Korean restaurant. The kimchi was not spicy at all. Small but good menu, and the servings are generous. Very pretty location with a nice view from upstairs and downstairs. Limited drink selection but sufficient for the food.

Suuuuuuuuperb place! Simple interior, but powerful and unforgettable restaurant. We found it when we visited Hamburg. It really did our day. Since it was not the most pleasant outside, these warm dishes made everything brighter and even rain not with the first spoon of the broth. Highly recommended, also for street food skeptics you will be surprised!

I was rich, but for my random fall. The gochujan was not as spicy as I had dripped and his presence in my bibimbap was simply anecdote. The number of dishes was decent. Don't be hungry, but for the price I would have expected something more authentic. It is not a bad place to eat, but I do not recommend it if you are looking for Korean food in particular. I was rich, but for my taste I was very alemanized. The gochujan was not as spicy as I would have liked and his presence in my bibimbap was merely anecdotal. The number of dishes was decent. Don't starve, but for the price I would have expected something more authentic. It's not a bad place to eat but I don't recommend it if you're looking for Korean food in particular.

Had a lovely evening. I was surprised to see that there weren't a lot of guests on a saturday evening, but maybe it's busier during the week. The staff was exceptionally friendly and the food was very good, although my ramen could quite compare to Lesser Panda Ramen. Still, I can highly recommend the homemade kimchi and the cinnamon ice cream for dessert. The restaurant is neatly decorated and has a lovely view towards the canal. Thanks again for the hospitality!

"There's always a question (in my mind, anyway) as to Michelin's accuracy/usefulness outside of France. In the US, it's not very helpful at all and in Europe ex-France, I've found it hit and miss. Haerlin represented only my second stab at a two-star in Germany and the first meal (Heinz Winkler), while a thoroughly wonderful overall experience, felt like the second star might have been a stretch. Not so at Haerlin, this was a two-star meal that stands fork-to-fork with any I can remember. The food is stylized to within an inch of its life, but close to flawless in both conception and execution. Outside of a large selection of generally unremarkable breads and a luke-warm roasted onion broth added to an amuse at table side that probably should have been hotter, the meal was simply one perfect dish after another. Maybe the sorbet intermezzo was a little old school in such a fashion forward meal, but - hey - it was delicious! Keep it.The room is suitably formal, luxurious in a traditional style, and quite comfortable. The pace of service might be a little leisurely for some (I ate alone and the four-course menu (seven + courses, including amuses, etc) pushed it a bit, stretching just over three hours. However, the friendly and attentive staff kept an eye out the entire time and stopped by if the time between courses presented the opportunity. The somm, in particular, was a great diversion, visiting from time to time to discuss the varied and interesting wines on offer. He provided useful insight into the outstanding selection of trocken Rieslings on the list. He guided me to a 2001 Burklin-Wolf GG that, at Eu 150, was both a great bottle of mature white and a tremendous value for a wine of this quality in this type of restaurant. (Good luck finding a white burgundy of this quality at this price at any multi-star restaurant - or at retail, for that matter.) He also suggested a wonderful German Pinot Noir by the glass that worked perfectly with the meat course and wasn't terribly expensive. The list is extensive, but not the tome you see at some restaurants, but don't be fooled - wine service at Haerlin is both a major plus and represents notable value in the context of multi-star restaurants.I'm not going to argue two-star vs three-star because that distinction often seems to be kind of mysterious (and tangentially related to the food), but I will say that this place certainly deserves two stars. I had just a flat-out great meal. If you can work in a visit, Haerlin should be high on your list."
