"I have been wanting to try this place since before it even opened (I kind of stalk it via my tramline into the city . The modern and minimalistic decor paired with being a Korean place had my interest peaked from the start. And when I found out this place was Korean well-being cuisine , it was peaked even more. What in the world is Korean well-being food in the first place? (No seriously, I have no idea and am curious even though it sounded interesting . FINALLY I made it to Yuyumi today for lunch. The menu has a fair amount of dishes, all of which seem to be quick bowls of rice and a variety of foods. One can argue that this is not authentic Korean, and I believe it probably isn 't even close. But I 'm not one to shy away from good food, even if it is pretty westernized. The place seemed to be packed with Koreans and other Asians who were enjoying some well-being cuisine. My boyfriend and I ordered two bowls- one #25 (a bulgogi and squid rice bowl and a #31 (a kimchi and pork rice bowl . Both were pretty massive and ran us around 9 euros or less per person. When you order here, you must order upon walking in, are handed an 'order is ready! ' device, and you pick your seat and chill out until the food is ready. In our case, it was like 25 minutes. Thank gosh I had a Korean Hite beer to drink in the mean time. How on earth does this place function during a non-holiday when packed at lunch with 25 minute wait times for food? I truly hope this was a one-off situation! We picked up our food and it was just average. I enjoyed myself and wouldn 't be opposed to going back one day, but the food isn 't anything I can 't replicate myself in my own kitchen. And dare I say... I think I could do it better. But for the price and amount of food you get, I wasn 't upset about it. The kimchi bowl was better than the bulgogi and squid bowl, but it seemed as though the kimchi was a quick kimchi and not one that had kimchi fermented for some time, losing much of the flavor the cabbage typically would give off. Both were supposed to be extra hot and obviously they weren 't. But they do offer a side of hot sauce you can take to your table to heat things up a bit. They didn 't overdue the toasted sesame oil or gochujang paste which was to my liking (I like both, just not in overpowering measures . Overall, this place was alright. I would go back there as I really like the interior and the friendliness of the workers. They are slow, but I hope it was just a fluke. I also like that they have two nice tables out back that you can enjoy your food at without being distressed about the circus of people hanging around the Hauptbahnhof. I also like the concept of Korean well-being cuisine which I 'm sure is just a made up thing. I guess I just love seeing Frankfurt dive into the Korean cuisine culture a bit more ; Now that I 'm home, I 'm trying to see the effects of this well-being cuisine and truthfully, I just feel tired and am in a food coma. Maybe tomorrow I will notice a pick up of energy and a loss of 25 pounds. We shall see...."
