"For all those who are impatient while reading, here is a first review it was fantastic! Thanks to Robert (More at the end of the text ; Now for the detail work. We were there for the first time on June 3, 2022 in the evening. We became aware of the cinnamon cork as a restaurant because we wanted to know in Google what other rustic options for going out in the evening were available in our area. Google recommended the cinnamon cork with a very good rating. We didn't know the place before. When we got there it was packed. There were even guests sitting at tables in front of the house. There are covered places in the courtyard, more seating is available in the house. We asked if there was a place to eat for two people. Despite high occupancy and further reservations, the service was able to do it and after consultation we were given a place in the main building here we were allowed to sit in the back part, which is designed almost like a booth. Great place, we found it extremely quaint. The food and drinks: The very first thing we did, as a prelude, was to order an Aperol Spritz. What can I say this one was fantastic! The amount alone. Not the usual Aperol, which is measured exactly to just 0.1 These glasses were FULL. Both in quantity and in taste! The mixing ratio and the ingredients used (Prosecco is not just Prosecco! were really great. We've had quite a few watery Aperols. This one gets the grade 1! A Chardonnay was chosen for the main course, which came well chilled and tasted great. I didn't know the winery (Christ, Flonheim yet, but I wrote down the name. The Chardonnay was super tasty. For the main course I took the meatballs off the menu. Our server, Robert, also brought us the menu of the day and recommended the salmon. The salmon was also ordered and was an absolute highlight. The orange sauce went so well with the pasta. You could have gotten into it. The food tasted really good. Fluffy meatballs, a potato salad like from mothers and the salmon has already been described. We are now bathing in the sauce ; For dessert there were baked bananas and a layered dessert with strawberries (recommendation of the daily menu . Also an espresso. Both desserts were sensationally delicious and rounded off the evening perfectly. A word about the service: Dear Robert your very friendly and nice manner, your attentiveness and your recommendations were the icing on the cake for us. Always attentive, in between unobtrusively asking if everything is ok. Good recommendations made. For the Chardonnay, I asked the boss again whether it really was the winery indicated on the menu. Juni 2022 abends das erste mal vor Ort. Aufmerksam wurden wir auf den Zimtkorken als Lokal, weil wir in Google wissen wollten, was direkt in unserem Umfeld noch an urigen Möglichkeiten zum abendlichen Weggehen vorhanden ist. Google hat den Zimtkorken mit sehr guter Bewertung empfohlen. Wir kannten das Lokal vorher nicht. Als wir dorthin kamen, war es brechend voll. Es saßen sogar Gäste an Tischen vor dem Haus. Es gibt im Innenhofe überdachte Plätze, weitere Sitzmöglichkeiten sind im Haus gegeben. Wir fragten nach, ob für zwei Personen noch eine Möglichkeit zum Essen vorhanden ist. Trotz hoher Auslastung und weiteren Reservierungen nachte es die Bedienung möglich und wir bekamen nach Rücksprache einen Platz im Haupthaus hier durften wir im hinteren Teil Platz nehmen, welches fast wie ein Separee gestaltet ist. Klasse Platz, wir fanden es extrem urig. Die Speisen und Getränke: Wir hatten uns als allererstes, quasi als Auftakt, einen Aperol Spritz bestellt. Was soll ich sagen dieser hier war fantastisch! Alleine die Menge. Nicht der übliche Aperol, welcher exakt auf geradeso 0,1 abgemessen wird. Diese Gläser waren VOLL. Sowohl von der Menge als auch vom Geschmack! Das Mischungsverhältnis und die verwendeten Zutaten (Prosecco ist nicht gleich Prosecco! waren echt super. Wir hatten schon so manchen wässrigen Aperol. Dieser hier bekommt die Note 1! Für den Hauptgang wurde ein Chardonnay gewählt, welcher gut gekühlt kam und super im Geschmack war. Ich kannte das Weingut (Christ, Flonheim noch nicht, habe mir aber den Namen notiert. Der Chardonnay ist super süffig gewesen. Als Hauptgericht nahm ich die Frikadellen von der Karte. Unsere Bedienung, Robert, hat uns außerdem die Tageskarte gebracht und eine Empfehlung für den Lachs abgegeben. Der Lachs wurde ebenfalls bestellt und war ein absolutes Highlight. Die Orangensauce passte so gut zu den Nudeln. Man hätte sich hineinlegen können. Das Essen hat wirklich gut geschmeckt. Fluffige Frikadellen, ein Kartoffelsalat wie von Muttern und der Lachs wurde ja bereits beschrieben. Wir baden nun in der Sauce ; Zum Nachtisch gab es gebackene Bananen und ein Schichtdessert mit Erdbeeren (Empfehlung der Tageskarte . Außerdem einen Espresso. Beide Desserts waren sensationell lecker und haben den Abend klasse abgerundet. Ein Wort zur Bedienung: Lieber Robert Deine sehr freundliche und nette Art, Deine Aufmerksamkeit und Deine Empfehlungen waren für uns das Tüpfelchen auf dem i. Immer aufmerksam, zwischendurch unaufdringlich nachgefragt, ob alles in Ordnung ist. Gute Empfehlungen abgegeben. Für den Chardonnay extra nochmals beim Chef nachgefragt, ob es auch wirklich das auf der Karte angegebene Weingut ist. Vielen lieben Dank!
