"On Friday afternoon, I had a meal with Ms. P at Zizzi on King Street in Manchester. We enjoyed a great selection of Italian dishes and I fully recommend this restaurant. We started with garlic bread and had Spaghetti Bolognese for our main course. Ms. P had Prosecco and a cocktail with her meal, while I opted for a Peroni. The staff were friendly and the restaurant wasn't too busy. The prices for the food and drinks were reasonable given the location. The restaurant is housed in a large building, which was impressive. I highly recommend dining here."

Eating was decent norm like other Zizzi you can find. The atmosphere tho! So great and beautiful. Cocktail was good (very reasonable price) and the staff was friendly and helpful.

Beautiful place to dine in. Large and spacious and most importantly, well spaced out tables. Pizza and pasta are good but nothing that wasn't expected of them. The brownie could have been better if it was warm.

Food was good and food came out pretty quickly but serving staff were quite slow. We were waiting quite a while to order food and to get the bill. However, the staff were very friendly and the building is beautiful

Using discount coupons is a great option, remember to check for it on the website before coming! Very good food, lovely architecture that creates amazing atmosphere, friendly staff but slightly slow service even when there wasn't many customers. But still very positive experience :

I thoroughly enjoyed my experience at this Zizzi restaurant. The interior was charming and the layout was easy to navigate. Our waiter was friendly and made us feel welcome. The food, as usual, was outstanding. I highly recommend this restaurant to anyone who hasn't already tried their delicious dishes.

My friend and I decided to have a late lunch on a Friday afternoon, so the restaurant was quite empty. The staff was friendly, the food was tasty, and the prices were very reasonable considering the great location. I particularly enjoyed the new swing seat that had been installed, which I tried out just before leaving. The architecture alone is worth a visit, as the restaurant is located in a stunning old building. Highly recommended.

"Alborz is a wonderful hidden gem in Levenshulme that serves a variety of Persian and Middle-Eastern food, located on Stockport Rd you could be forgiven for thinking that Alborz is as unassuming as it's humble exterior suggests. However, what lies behind those modest doors is truly fantastic restaurant both in terms of food and service. The interior is understated and tasteful, furnished with Persian vases and ornate tea sets, the tables are close together to make the most of the limited space available but this lends a refreshing communal atmosphere to your meal. The staff were friendly and attentive and more than happy to talk you through the menu and explain the various dishes. We ordered the Mezze Platter to start, this consists of four different starters, and is ideal if you're not overly familiar with Persian cuisine, the homemade hummus was a particular highlight being both fresh and tasty. We then ordered the Alborz special grill for two, which looks as wonderful as it tastes, succulent skewers of koobideh and chicken accompanied by grilled vegetables, saffron rice and a freshly baked taltoon bread which was frankly quite ridiculous in its magnificence and is so large it came supplied with its own stand. This was a true delight to eat and I can highly recommend it. After all of that, we were overloaded with food and couldn't possibly consider having dessert and so, asked for the bill, which led to true surprise of the evening, all of this wonderfully authentic and fresh food came to a grand total of £42. This reflects tremendous value in a time where a meal for two can often prove quite expensive. Overall I would say that Alborz is definitely worth visiting if you're in the area and if you're not well then it's worth making the trip for. If you're a fan of Persian food or perhaps want to try something new then you would genuinely struggle to find such a quality dining experience at this price point."

"I've been to a couple of different Dishoom branches a few times and have never been disappointed by the breakfast options. The sausage naan roll is excellent. A couple of really tasty vegan sausages with some melted vegan cheese all wrapped up in a lovely soft naan and served with some sort of sweet chilli dipping sauce. My go to now is usually the vegan Bombay. It's a good hearty breakfast plate with... a couple of the same well seasoned vegan sausages. Some vegan tofu akuri a nicely spiced tofu scramble. Some very well cooked mushroom slices (that are maybe a wee bit under seasoned). The baked beans are really nicely spiced, elevating them far beyond the standard sweet sauce fare that's the usual. A few slices of well flavoured black pudding (that could be fried to being a bit crispier). A cooked tomato which is a bit dull, I've never been keen on tomatoes on my breakfast plate and this once has not changed my mind. It could do with some more charring and maybe some spicing. To help you mop everything up, the whole thing is served with a couple of soft bread buns that have been nicely toasted. I usually top the whole thing off with some chocolate chai with oat milk you get free refills for your chai. Unfortunately, it isn't wheelchair accessible. There are stairs up into the restaurant and various small flights of stairs to get to different parts of the restaurant. Updated from previous review on 2024 03 25"
