On getting in the waiter was there fast with children’s menu and drawing things. The kids enjoyed their time there and so did the parents. Nice food, reasonably priced and relaxed atmosphere

we ate here twice while we were in berlin and both were great. eating is well prepared and the service is friendly and efficient. there is a beautiful terrace when they are there in summer. try it anyway!

Wow fab food I had the schweinsbraten, which was the most tenderist pork tasted in a sauce with dumplings and coleslaw. Hubby had the mushroom/dumplings vegetarian option. If you want to try traditional dishes made of all parts of the pig this could be the place for you. You have to go there and read the menu to believe it. I did not like it but other in my group enjoyed the...place. They also have or vegetarian choices if you do not like pork but these are not really much to talk about.

This place is good if you want Bavarian food to a low price. The place got the right atmosphere, at least for someone that have not been in Bavaria. The sausages are very nice and they have good beer as well. They also serve Pfälzer...Saumagen, which is not Bavarian but still very nice and a bit exotic, even for Germans not from Pfalz. The service is ok.

recommend this small, cozy, local, friendly, first class restaurant halfway to bornholmer street. delicious, well cooked, homemade cuisine. excellent quality, substantially and tasty. Relaxed and quiet, warm and cozy, cheerful and good service plus great beer....and very cheap. Bavarian dishes. not for. vegan or vegetarian, I think, although the veggie options on the menu sound substantial and tasty. train connections very simple: bornholmer street or Schonhauser allee. Accidental find but excellent choice. We had planned on hitting another kneipe in the area but that place just down the street was just a little too tacky and we opted for Zum Bayernmichel. What an accidental but terrific find. Staff was really pleasant and...the food was excellent. I had my usual Schnitzel and spargel...to die for. While the restaurant was not highbrow it was a great local hangout and if in town again I would make a special trip to seek it out. Thanks for such a terrific evening

Bavarian known for the great food not only for the Beer and the Oktober fest : this restaurant serve most traditional home cooking Bavarian style of cooking. Very big portions of delicious and tasty Bavarian sausage, sauerkraut and Potatoes. The pork knuckles are the best...as well! the vegetarian choice tries the cheese, it's a mountain cheese from The Alps. the soup was excellent and the beer...last but not least always the best beer in Germany. The service is friendly like most in south Germany and the price was affordable considering the big portion and the Wunderbar taste

We have come back to Bayernmichel several times, and we have never been disappointed. The restaurant is nicely and traditionally Bavarian style decorated, and we were there two days before the opening of this years Oktoberfest, and that was clearly visible in the room.
