"The Old Mill is always the destination of our city walks in the historic core of Glückstadt. Located on the edge of the port directly on the water, not as chic as the historical buildings on the market, but always worth a visit in beautiful weather, there is also a stay on the terrace. The old, somewhat sloping industrial building is developed as a classic restaurant and although visually somewhat dusty nevertheless inviting, pieksauber and with this great view of the water, whose magnetism does not allow. Here after almost 10 years an update of the last review. Friendly professional reception in the reasonably well visited and lovingly seasonally decorated local, very nice young fleet service and placement to the water. On the neighboring table, it was already well-smellingly gray peas; a local specialty served at the carnival time. Stint also advertised on the table a small fish which is served in a variety of rich fried seasonal crispy with cucumber salad. Thus clear 1x stint with cucumber salad and roasted caffeine (17,90€ as well as a harbour master bread (18,20€ agitator on black bread with 2 matjesfilets nature and plentiful North Sea crabs. Otherwise, everyone else would find something on the balanced regional map of the beautiful simple to culinary creations. Versatile, varied offer also with traces of the new nutritional trends that (actually no person needs! What is passed during the waiting period makes you feel like more and the next visit... 1/4 Grauer Burgunder (6, € and an excellent Behringer Rosé (6,50€ came to the table in ice cold; a small bottle of water hit with 2.30€ to beech. After a pleasant break was served and we chose a portion of homemade retina sauce as a dip (1.50€). The small perennial fish delicately grounded, crispy buttrig, fresh with beautiful decoration and a classic cucumber salad with dill and onions in sour as in Grandma. You are actually eaten with your fingers including **** fin. The fish selection was good this product is measured at the fish size the smaller, the more fine! And so was it; no trace of any bitterness or indulgence otherwise in this fish. Of the tasty, classic roast potatoes crispy with bacon and onions we don't have to talk about them as the Remoulade excellent. The harbour master bread is not small and with beautiful salad set classically fluffy agitation to get satt with 2 delicate, mild-wüzigen but nevertheless expressive local matjesfilets crowned by still light-sweet fresh North Sea crab meat perfectly and harmoniously North German. Again and again the next visit is planned..."

Otherwise we always go to the market for some food in Glückstadt. Because of personnel problems, our restaurant was closed. So we drove here and landed a hit. Matjes in two different variations: once with sauce housewife type and roast potatoes and then with green beans, pellet and bacon. Very delicious! A cool beer, what do you need more? We liked to wait a little longer for the freshly prepared dishes. Service good and prices reasonable!

This restaurant is the epitome of bad agreement. Who comes first colors. 1.5 hours waiting time is not worth the extremely bad curry sausage. You need to book a place, otherwise you will not get a place and if you get one, sit in a completely crowded restaurant overlooking a yacht throw and a castle. 2 waiters and a cook contribute to the fact that the waiting time for the neighboring guests exceeds 2 hours. All in all, you should just go to the fries or fish suckers.

There were three of us there during lunchtime. We decided on the herring feast. A good choice!!! The caraway first was covered with a pumpernickel topped with herring ; . Yummy. After a not too long wait, the nice waitress brought the food. Three plates with salad and a rolled up herring fillet. There was also a large bowl of beans, fried potatoes and a bowl of bacon. plus a bowl with red wine herring and one with normal herring fillets. So four fillets per person. The four different sauces were added. All in all a lovely visit. The taste was delicious!!!! This wasn't the last visit to this restaurant. Not to mention the location at the harbor. All in all: bomb!!! View menu

On my first visit here I ordered herring, generally the first herring I've ever eaten. As a result, I have to say I learned to love Matjes and look back fondly on this moment. Now I tried the crab soup (see picture) and the classic currywurst with fries (see picture). I particularly liked the crab soup, especially now that autumn is starting and so is soup season. It was nice and full-bodied with a few crabs and very tasty. The currywurst with fries also tasted good, although in my opinion the fries could have been fried a little longer. At the lunch time when I was there, the restaurant was busy, so there was a longer wait. I would therefore advise taking some time with you. The service is...

The restaurant The old mill is located directly on the idyllic Glückstadt harbour. It was actually a mill and is a historical building. The restaurant is on the upper floor, but in the summer months you can also sit romantically under trees in the semi-shadow in the garden and look at the water. Here too it is relatively windproof. Right next to the house there are a few parking spaces. We drove back to Glückstadt and looked forward to the happy city of Mattjes. We were not disappointed. The menu offers many exciting Matjes variations, but you can also order different fish and meat dishes, salads and soups. The service was flashy and very tried and we didn't have to wait long for the drinks....

"DER DÄNE is one of about 5 restaurants around the historic market in the old town of Glückstadt. Port, ferry and Matjes as well as the adjacent shopping streets attract visitors, who will inevitably eat something here. Anyone who lands in the DÄNEN is lucky: hotel and restaurant business well-bourgeois solid with a map that reproduces almost every preference. The rainy outdoor terrace neatly maintained at a cloudy late noon in the week rather empty and our starting point for a little bite. The feminine confessed service kindly humorous and supernett brought some color into the triste mood and was parat when needed. First a glass of white wine Chardonnay 0.2l 3.90€ crisp fresh; the Grauburgunder (0.2l 5.80€ balanced round; Less than 0,25l 2,30€. It should be just a little bit, but the guess after studying the map was a reality: After a pleasant waiting period, opaquely decorated plates with similar portions: feta in foil grilled with onions, vegetables, knobi, homemade Sour Cream Dip, salad and fladen bread (9.90€ 2 larger pieces of cheese juicy aromatic with beautiful garlic note all along with deliciously tasty fresh salad buffet accompanied. handy good and saturating pleasant. Crispy Chicken Sandwich in Focacciabrot with Ceasars Dressing and Sparkling. Salad inserts (10,90€ : 2 huge layers of chicken meat with all kinds of ingredients between the bread halves quite high and initially difficult to händeln but later plentiful and easier to enjoy. Bunter flavor mix sustainably saturating and quite harmonious thanks to Ceasar. Fairly calculated and reasonable food also for a short visit with good service. Mainstream recommended uncomplicated."

"The Anno 1617 rejoices in the traditional locals at Glückstadter Marktplatz. A protected outdoor area not only invites tourists to stay. The presentation is friendly, cunning, well maintained and welcoming; the service nice and reliable. Whether in the beach basket, on the terrace or in the venerable building, a cosiness, cleanliness and playful, almost fluffy local colony awaits at decoration and decor. The regional individual menu with a large daily offer offers a very good selection and makes a decision difficult thanks to many highlights and specialties. The well-sounding compilations, for example, in the modular principle, allow everyone to find something no matter whether fast dishes, menus or local fish specialities. We immediately felt comfortable and started with a Rhabarber home cocktail with alcohol and fruits as well as an ice-cold, white Gauls Eleven Cuvee and later a light Le Rosé (each 0.2l 6.95€ . 0.25l Sprudel are calculated with 2.85€. As main dishes we found under Püsti's classics SCHASCHLIK VOM SCHWEINEFILET with bacon, onions, paprika and self-made spicy sauce, optionally with Pommes Frites (17,90 or crispy roast potatoes (our choice of 18,90€). Furthermore the PANNFISCH (22,90€ three fried fish fillets (sea salmon and salmon on crispy roasted potatoes with dijon mustard sauce and small cucumber salad. After some waiting time, the dishes were hot served the first impression optically fine, very lush portions and delicious... sauce and salad served separately on the fish; in the big sash with plenty of sauce the roast potatoes extra. The mustard sauce with fine mustard seeds sweetly spicy sour with fine sharpness very harmoniously tasty to beautifully roasted salmon and sea salmon fillet fresh, light crispy and delicately seasoned. Nicely tuned to well seasoned frying potatoes, which I personally would have roasted a few moments longer in the pan. The cucumber salad classic crunchy and fresh. Round and good! The chick on adorable sweet light-sharp with curry powder bestreuter very compact large sauce portion spicy and richly spiced with onions, bacon and paprika really consisted of many large pork fillets super-sart and aromatically spiced on the point great quality. At the expense of severity and sweetness, I would have tasted the sauce slightly lighter and fruity sharper. The roast potatoes corresponded to the description of the fish dish. Very satisfying, pleasant wooden kitchen; tastefully tasty, regional and abundant. Both dishes are very neat and beautiful. In view of the offer, there will definitely be a return visit! At the end there was a local herbal liqueur: The profound FatFritz (2cl 3.50€ ended the pleasant stay. Not too touristy, honest and super-friendly relaxing with good price performance ratio."

"It's crazy what the creative young team made from the old candelaber. Concept, architecture and interior in industrial look perfectly matched and really worth seeing. Many eye-catchers of dishes, glasses and empires as well as sanitary facilities. Dark steel beams, Tau and the lighting design make the restaurant a comfortable, clearly structured and stylish place to stay. The outer facade is rather inconspicuous with little complaints/logo, so it doesn't necessarily immediately realize what kind of restaurant or restaurant. that even one behind these walls hides enlightenment because only the large menu box. The classic Matjes offer has been carefully complemented and adapted to more modern design and younger target groups. In addition to classic fish dishes, you can also find home cooking, snacks, burgers and curry sausages a consistently interesting other menu that makes you feel like visiting again. Very friendly and binding also the staff; easy to integrate into the concept and also to a relaxed chat ready absolutely uncomplicated. Money is earned here mainly in summer so the restaurant was rather little frequented on a autumn afternoon in the week. Nonetheless, one should let oneself into the captivity and here turn in the kitchen is creative, handcrafted good and very tasty in orderly portions. A nice extension of the more conservative offer of the other tourist-interesting companies around the marketplace. Our drinks: water 0.33l Viva con Aqua (Benefizprodukt zur Brunnenbau in der 3. World 2,50€, very balanced pleasant cool Grauburgunder 0,25l 5,50€ and a tasty 'Kremper Bitter ' (from region 2cl 3, €. We chose fried zanderfilet on cream spinach with salt potatoes (19.80€ 2 beautiful large fillets absolutely fresh and delicate, pleasantly spicy on classically spunny spinach with neat kart. Delicious nix to mecker!!! The lush peasant breakfast with ham and cucumber (10,80€ times very different: Pellkartoffeln/Drillinge were processed with bowl and gave the super juicey egg dish with plenty of onions and bacon a very own charkter but positively superhearted, tasteful and harmonious. Never eaten yet, but this interpretation deserves respect and recommendation! Not cooked and expertly seasoned sustainably (my opponent could not stop trying at all."
