"This place is a great deal bigger than what it seems from outside. Don't sit right where you walk in, keep going back, past the bar, and there is a huge room that is decorated in a really exotic way, reminiscent of Greece and/or south...Asia (my better-traveled-than-I husband says . The menu is almost too big to decide on a meal. They have some Greek food, some Turkish, some German (schnitzel , some Italian (Pizza, baked noodle dishes, baked cheese-over-veggie dishes . The lamb we had was really good. I had an authentic pork dish (Schweine-Lachs something which reminded me of the shakshuka from Israel; good comfort food, but next time I will go with something else. They have a small selection of fish dishes on Fridays that look really good. The appetizer platter couldn't have been better, with its grilled/roasted zucchini (or was it eggplant? , red bell peppers, different spreads, warm bread, etc- almost big enough for a meal. Really impressive place."

Pleasant for drinks with my friends positive moods from staff, with inviting smiles and fast service. Come back!

Food is always good with large portions, and of course a complimentary post-meal shot of ouzo. Prices are very reasonable.

Crowded restaurant, for a good reason. Good food for a reasonable price. Gangelt is a small town, but the restaurant attracts people from the region.

We have enjoyed almost everything we've tried here. The place is often packed and quiet loud on weekends, but we don't mind. My biggest complaint would be the sometimes rude waitstaff.

The first time we went the restaurant wasn't that packed since it was a weekday. The food was absolutely delicious. The second time it was the weekend and was completely packed. This affected our service negatively. We waited quite a while just to get menus. Otherwise the food was still good. I would suggest going during the week to avoid the massive crowds and on the weekends make a reservation.

Very large and crowded place, dining room very large, but beautiful atmosphere. Very large menu, and many options for food. Fishmenus are only available on fridays. We had a mixed grill (6 varieties of meat, but the meat was very dry (could be precooked and reheated). Fries and salads on the side were ok. for appetizers we had mushrooms (very damp in oily sauce, and the variety of warm appetizers. Looks like all vegetarian snacks. We thought Squid rings were in the plate, but they seemed very dry (as only dough and no squid was in. Hopefully this experience was a onetimer, my first time in this place, our friends had other (better experience in the past. The ouzo on the house made a little :

"Pita gyros picked up from hoensbroek. Clearly stated that I don't want any sauce or vegetables in it. Come home, want some good food after being hungry for 2 hours already. Pita full of sauce, fries, and vegetables... 16 to 17 small pieces of meat in it, far too little and completely dried out and rock hard. This is really scandalous. scammers. That's how I can make money too... was the 1st time and the last time. I went all out for that... Making mistakes is human, but also delivering poor quality and a few pieces of meat that can be counted on 2 hands was the last straw. Worst greek ever! No doubt. Got a response back from that flap turd with all kinds of apologies. Service is also hard to find. That jerk indicated that I live 15 km away and therefore had dry and bad meat.. it was 4.7 km to be exact. Everything was closed in hoensbroek otherwise I wouldn't have come there anyway.. It doesn't matter either.. Even if I came from Amsterdam I should still get fresh and decent quality. I also don't understand what the driving distance has to do with the amount and quality of the food... that greedy green dog that it is. Again, to make mistakes is human but intentionally poor quality and literally delivering 16 to 17 (I could literally count them so few) pieces has nothing to do with mistakes. This was done deliberately. . . So you just keep making excuses for yourself. Half a kilo of dry and bad meat next time? No thanks.. as if you suddenly started buying better meat... Just close this place. Simple enough. Swindler... and there is nothing else behind it. Make sure you and your cook check the food before you give it to the customer. if I had worked there I would have immediately sounded the alarm that the gyros (and who knows the rest of the menu) is simply bad and dry and little... and then dared to ask 8 euros. You can keep that free sandwich. Don't waste gas for Z quality again. Even if you throw in half a kilo of gyros instead of 75 grams. It wouldn't have been more. Can't believe people are in there. Those customers either don't know what's good or I'm the only unlucky person who was cheated with poor quality that day. Can't imagine... That out of the whole batch of gyros that day, I've been the only one with bad food. Do you have something to think about. Do something with it I would say instead of being a victim. I am the victim and not you... Service: Take out Meal type: Dinner Price per person: €1–10 Food: 1 Service: 1 Atmosphere: 1"
