"The waiting staff were lovely, so no complaint there at all. However not only was the food decidedly bland, it took an age to come to us. When it did, my BBQ Ribs portion was luke warm at best, and the added fries, corn cob and coleslaw portions were much smaller than I expected.Also, we were offered the use of a toddler seat as soon as we arrived which was much appreciated. Sadly we had to take our six month old daughter out of it shortly after, as the seat stank of stale urine, so much so that not only did it put my wife off her meal, but we had to go and change my daughters trousers as they'd picked up some of the smell. I reported this to the waitress, but nothing further was said by her nor any other member of staff before we paid our bill and left.My wife also reported that the toilets were grubby when she took our daughter there to change her trousers. Her words were that they didn't seem that well looked after. Still smelled better than the kids seat though. Sadly I don't think we'll come back here again after this visit. I don't feel we got close to value for our money, food service was slow and bland and the kids seat left our kid smelling like an alcoholics sock drawer."

"We visited Hazehead Park with our grand daughter, on 28/07/2023. This is the first time we have visited the park. The park itself was outstanding with plenty for adults and children to enjoy. My grand daughter got a fish finger sandwich and when it was put if front of her, she picked up the fish finger in her hands and the inside was stone cold. The service was diabolical, when I complained about it, the server said he 'd take it away and 'heat it up '. I told him 'No ', I wanted fresh fish fingers brought. They did however, my grand daugher wouldn 't eat them because they were very hard. It also looked like the fish fingers being supplied to us were the cheapest available on the market. Plus, the cheese and ham toastie that my wife had ordered was also cold and she didn 't eat them. It seems to be, that looking at the reviews posted on here, the management is not taking notice of their customers complaints, which is a shame, because it is a lovely park. So, the bottom line is, will we be visiting the park again, the answer to that is a definite 'YES '. Will we be visiting the the Park Cafe again, the answer to that is a definite 'NO '. The next time we come, we will be bringing our own refreshments with us. We hope that the owners of this park get to see our review and the others on here. The food served at Hazelhead Park Cafe is a disgrace and I suggest that the readers of this review take this a a positive warning, not to use the Park Cafe.. Definitely not worth the £38 we paid for our lunch, so don 't waste your money by visiting the place. I wasted £38."

"A nice hotel restaurant setting to eat in. The food is excellent with some nice quality touches on the plates such as a lime sauce on radish which shouldn't work, but does, combined with the moist smoked salmon. I chose the cheeseburger and it's a long time since I've tasted such a beefy flavoured burger. A word for the staff. They couldn't have been nicer and any more knowledgeable. Great service all round. Try the barman's unique take on an Aperol spritz, or an interesting looking cocktail of the month. We shall return to this hidden gem for more of the same."

"We attended later in the evening in a large group after attending a charity event nearby and got settled in the area by the door pool tables. We did not feel any pressure to order as a group which was good as it meant we could all eat as and when we wanted to which suited better due to there being quite a lot of us, not everyone was hungry at the same time. However, I lost track of time and the staff were kind enough to check prior to food finishing for the night if everyone that wanted food had got food. I had scampi and chips and my husband had a burger and chips. Both were fantastic! Loved the food, loved the atmosphere and loved the staff; they were brilliant welcoming, friendly and couldn't be more helpful. Thank you very much!"

"Me and my partner visited Wagamama on a quiet Monday evening, expecting a smooth dining experience. Unfortunately, I was left disappointed. Despite the restaurant being nearly empty, we were ignored by the staff for a full 30 minutes—no one came to take our order. We tried to get someone’s attention, but it felt like we were invisible. After half an hour of waiting without any service, we finally gave up and left, having wasted our time and appetite. It’s frustrating to be treated this way, especially when the restaurant wasn’t even busy. Definitely not the experience we were hoping for"

"Absolutely disgusting. Meat undercooked. Chicken still raw in the middle. Sausages not cooked. King rib undercooked. Batter still runny on all items. Calzone not cooked correctly and meat in the centre was stone cold. Decided to substitute an order for 500ml juice for a 330ml but still charge for 500ml. Extra items (olives) in calzone were not included. Pineapple fritters were just battered pineapple which tasted out of date and had runny batter, no syrup included as is standard for fritters. I’m not even going to feed this **** to my dog. The only thing they got right was a tin of Red Bull!! They were contacted by Just Eat to refund my money and have refused. So they’ve just been reported to the Council for poor food hygiene. Noticed that they were also taken to court for food hygiene in January. Absolutely disgusted. They should not be trading. DO NOT BUY ANYTHING FROM HERE."

"I called in here for some lunch. The daily specials were steak pie or Scotch eggs. Both sounded good, but I opted for a baked potato with beans and cheese. It was pleasant enough, served with some salad on the side and a good helping of beans, maybe not so much cheese as I would like. There was nothing wrong with it, but I have had better elsewhere. Maybe I should have gone for an all day breakfast, which I saw someone else have, and it looked great. However I noticed several tables booked by people who had ordered afternoon tea, and that looked amazing, with a big cake stand in the middle of the table overflowing with goodies. There's no way I would be able to eat all that, but I would love to try. The selection of cakes and tray bakes behind the counter looked appealing too. That may be my next visit. The ambience of the place is very pleasant and staff were up to standard."

"Jimmy's review. I have been to Granma's kitchen on occassions and have enjoyed the food both times, on my first visit i had the macaroni and garlic bread which i found to be very enjoyable and quite a large portion, on my second visit i had a ham cheese panini available with or without homemade) coleslaw. The prices for these dishes i thought to be reasonable, the staff were friendly and not overpowering, the cafe has tables with chairs at each table but does not feel cramped, there is also a disabled toilet but there is no ramp access but only a very small step which a wheelchair would have no problem negotiating."

"This is by far a brilliant spot and well worth a visit if you are in Aberdeen, just outside Bon Accord Centre. "I went with my Italian woman to ciao napoli to lunch in the last summer. the food was excellent and the service was also excellent. I want to go back. I was very surprised by the restaurant, it was my first time there. it is very atmospheric in an old building in a small room with beautiful old wood panel. it reminded me of the old town in edinburgh. a hidden gem in gray granite of the godless."

"I was looking forward to quality service and food but overall the experience was disappointing. We were a party of four. We ordered in the bar and were taken to our table about 20 mins later. No one offered take our coats. Cullen Skink can be a super starter but this one lacked solid content and flavour. My wife ordered lemon sole with carrots and fries as extra side dishes. The fish was excellent but the side dishes did not arrive at the same time and after reminding the waitress about the omission the carrot arrived but not the fries. I had lamb which was tender and tasty but one piece was mainly fat and gristle. The others in our party had steaks which were not exceptional given the £29.50 price tag. The desserts were very good. We ordered wine by the glass which was slow to be served. Compared to a restaurant such as Moonfish, atmosphere, quality and value for money were disappointing."

"Very disappointed with the breakfast.Firstly it came without the eggs.Told the waitress and she took the plate away then a waiter came back with the plate but still no eggs.I asked where they were to be told that I could eat what was there and he would bring the eggs later.Eh no they were supposed to be on the plate to start with.Again the plate was taken away and back it came with eggs this time but with all the back and forward the rest of the meal wasn't very hot.No apology or offer of a fresh meal.Will definitely not be returning."

"If you can deal with the dilapidated midden that is Aberdeen Market, then you shouldn 't miss out on this interesting little Thai cafe.There 's a huge choice of authentic Thai food, most with pictures of the dish on the wall to give you a better idea of what to expect.Pad Thai with all the trimmings and condiments, with a Coke to wash it all down cost me a snivelling £6.50 Cracking value for money and it was absolutely delicious.There are no airs and graces with the staff and it 's a fairly basic place. If you can 't deal with 'rustic ', off you pop to Sabai on Union Street and pay triple what I did.I 'm going to go all Pokemon on the place, work my way through the menu and Catch 'em all .PRO-TIP: Go easy on the chilli flakes served as a side for your meal. I like my food hot, but these made me feel like I was eating magma."

"I don’t think Iv ever left a review but this one was a must! We couldn’t find a menu online so we phoned ahead to ask if there was one online , we were told there wasn’t one but she kindly took our email address and forwarded one over. On arriving we were lead through to a beautiful dining room by our waiter (we didn’t pick up his name) who made our visit perfect. We were served some beautiful warm bread with butter and water for the table which is always a nice touch when ur with child and hungry lol. My partner and myself both wanted fish and chips which was listed on the email but when the menu was brought out to us fish and chips wasn’t on it so when our waiter came over to take our orders we politely asked why and he told us that it wouldn’t be a problem for the chef to whip that up for us. It took about 10 minutes for it to come out and it was absolutely beautiful, the fish was so fresh, the batter was perfect, the chips were amazing and so was the tartare sauce 10/10! We ordered the cheesecake and sticky toffee pudding for dessert, the presentation was outstanding and the taste was to die for. We didn’t find it too expensive for what we got £68 for 4 dishes and 2 drinks. We have paid much more elsewhere for terrible service and food so we would definitely recommend it and next time visit Aberdeen we will definitely be returning! "This was our second visit and were not disappointed. We were given a lovely greeting from Fiona. I had bread scampi with skinny chips. There was a good helping but because the chips were sooo thin they couldn 't be picked up with a fork. It seems these are in fashion . My friend asked for confet duck and mushroom risotto but when it came it looked like porridge and after two mouthfuls couldn 't eat any more. She said there was far too much cream and added cheese. However cheerful Fiona took it away and came back with a requested chicken breast burger which went down very well. We will be back."

"Went for our first lunch at the Balmoral Castle restaurant today friends had been and said that the food was nice but the venue was really 'posh canteen ' and they 're not wrong! A little more styling in the interior could transform it into less of a cafe style place although it was very pleasant on a sunny warm day.The service is superb and the staff have clearly been trained very well other Aberdeenshire restaurants should take note! Nando, our waiter, was friendly and attentive and really very pleasant. The food was really lovely and well cooked but I felt like the chef needed to think about presentation John Torode would have pulled him up! The broad bean fritters with beetroot humous were lovely, tasty and light but please make them in a round patty shape (you would have to see them to understand why! ,the venison was lovely but when served with celeriac puree and the skinniest asparagus spears that I 've ever seen, the plate was very beige and needed an adornment of greenery, the trout fillet was lovely and the salad OK but why not make a slaw with the celeriac instead of just slices of it on top of the salad, the Balmoral tea creme brûlée was gorgeous but again, needed some final touches. The pace and the food needs some finesse before it can be crowned as a king of restaurants!"

"The carvery at this restaurant is excellent; however, there are some areas for improvement. You need to specifically ask the server for gluten-free gravy, and it's not made clear anywhere that this option is available. Sometimes, it takes a while for the gravy to arrive at your table, often after you’ve already started eating, and the portion they provide is quite small. Additionally, the vegetables aren’t labeled as gluten-free or not, and not all servers are well-informed about the options. There are also unlabelled sauces available at the end, which can be confusing. I once accidentally consumed gluten due to the cauliflower cheese, as I didn’t consider the cheese sauce. Overall, I feel quite confident with the carvery, although I really wish I could enjoy the cauliflower cheese. I always have a great time dining here."
