Cibo veramente buono: in due abbiamo preso un antipasto da dividere (un fuori menù di carciofi fritti poi due primi, il miglior piatto della serata (cappellacci alla carne con pecorino e miele e due dolci (rocciata di assisi, tipo strudel, e una mousse di cioccolato bianco e caramello salato molto zuccherosa, deve piacere questo gusto. "Too many sauces, everywhere. And they aren't listed on the menu, so when the dish arrives you find it drowned in sauce without even knowing it. In my case, in particular, they were the salmon, avocado and guacamole tacos... I update my latest review, reiterating once again the fact that there are ingredients used in the dishes that are not reported in any way on the menu. Specifically, the Shrimp Bowl in which I found cheddar, which was absolutely not written on the menu. It's true that the girl who took the order asked us if we had allergies, but maybe some people don't eat certain things due to personal tastes. Cheddar is not like a decorative salad, it melts, ends up on the plate changing the taste. For the service, it was really excessively slow, especially for being a Tuesday evening without even too many people."

"We had a table booked for 8pm. We arrived early so we were given Prosecco each whilst we waited for our table to be available. We waited about 10 minutes then we were brought to our table. We ordered our food which was fine. We understand that it was busy but the food came after 45 mins I would say, and it was cold. We all ordered pasta dishes. They were nice but would’ve been better if they had been hot!!. Once we got the bill we checked everything to make sure it was right, but we couldn’t understand why we were charged €56 for two of the dishes we got. Turns out the two prawn linguini “specials” that two of us had were €28 each!!. €56 for two bowls of pasta is crazy money if you ask me. We were not told that they were €28 each, if we had known the price we would have gotten something different off the menu. Also €7 for natural tap water?? You can get that for 70 cent in the super market. Lovely service and lovely staff, but the prices of the two pasta specials is maddd. Was an okay experience, but we will not be returning while we are here on holiday"

"Very nice restaurant positioned just above the train station, with the most breathtaking view of Assisi and the Basilica of Santa Maria degli Angeli. The owner might be the nicest person we met during our stay, super welcoming and very attentive. They offer a great variety of options, from pizza to classic pasta dishes to local dishes from the region. The “strangozzi al tartufo” is a must-try! If you are ever visiting Assisi, I highly recommend coming to La Bella Stazione! Perfect place to share a meal with family, as a couple or with friends. Another advantage offered is an entire corner dedicated to all the handmade ceramics also produced by the owner. Overall great food, great setting, and great customer service!"

"Mangiar divino di nome e di fatto. La scelta è stata ottima. Inizialmente ho deciso di prendere una tagliata di manzo al sangue che ho mangiato con molto gusto, ma dato la porzione scarsa (unica pecca), ho preso delle F-A-V-O-L-O-S-E pennette alla norcina con salsiccia e crema di tartufo: piatto perfetto, consiglio a tutti di prenderlo, BENEDETTO IL GIORNO IN CUI QUESTO RISTORANTE HA APERTO. Anche la mia famiglia ha mangiato da Dio e non possiamo lamentarci per nulla. Se mai dovessi ricapitare ad Assisi tornerei sicuramente. VENITECI, NON VE NE PENTIRETE!!!"

"that is a fantastic restaurant! it's fucked up in the little ones, but don't let yourself be stupid. we had the taste menu that we expected to be small amounts of food added to a main meal. No! we had a piece of each starter on the menu that was a meal in itself, two pasta dishes, followed by beautifully cooked steak with salat. the option was that for the included service or supplement for wein. again we thought the wein would be a glass. it was actually generous portions of various local weeps. all that eating and the glasses of the weine for a head was amazingly worth seeing comments from others about the service, but we had no complaining at all. they were beautiful for us during and we spent almost hours in the restaurant because we have so much in it relaxed I have this restaurant on my cards as a saved to each time when I am in italian forward, even if it is a few hours outside the way!"

"we stayed Saturday October. wonderful experience. the owner welcomed us long before the normal check-in time without any surcharge. impeccable cleaning. kindness and courtesy to the maximum. central position. excellent and plentiful breakfast. excellent price quality ratio. Wonderful dinner. There is nothing else to say but that it is very difficult today to find everything perfect. Antique norms followed to the maximum but the thing that amaze me most is the kindness and availability of the owner. made us feel really comfortable. We'll definitely come back. brown and elsa"

"facilmente raggiungibile dal momento che si trova proprio dopo l'occitazione delle quattro viuzze e praticamente di fronte alla bella basilica di Santa Maria degli Angeli, il ristorante è elegante e ben arredato. in due abbiamo preso il flan di porcini, stranglings al tartufo, filetto di maiale, gnocchi di patate e pollo tagliato. per finire come dolce abbiamo ordinato gli occhiali degli angeli i piatti erano molto ben preparati e deliziosi. anche l'aspetto estetico era notevole. abbiamo preso bicchieri di vino rosso in combinazione. servizio è sempre cortese e disponibile. il prezzo è giusto e ben proporzionato alla dimensione della cena. consigliato"

"Il locale è molto caratteristico molto rustico, azzeccato per il posto, situato nel centro storico vicino all' abbazia di San Francesco. Ci si arriva a piedi. Il personale è molto attento e simpatico. Il menù devo dire ottimo. Abbiamo preso l'antipasto, dei primi tra cui le pennette alla Norcina, eccellenti ed il secondo. Il filetto era ottimo, cotto benissimo ottimo l'abbinamento con la salsa. La qualità dei prodotti è ottima. Il conto alto ma giusto ed onesto per la qualità dei prodotti. Complimenti, veramente soddisfatto!!!"

"Ristorante Villa Elda Due is part of a three star hotel and restaurant setting. We were staying nearby and thought the restaurant looked inviting. The reviews were encouraging. Service was good, and the staff went out of their way to answer questions and assist in our making dinner decisions. While the wine list had many offerings, it appeared that much of the wine was past its prime. The menu had a decent variety of offerings; however, the food was average. We expected more, but the restaurant didn't deliver."

"Ci sono andato venerdì sera con i suoceri su consiglio delle suore di casa Nazareth. Come arriviamo (21.35) ci viene detto che la cucina è chiusa. Rimasto male, cambiamo ristorante e mi preparo a lasciare una recensione negativa (appena tornato a Roma). Due giorni dopo, ci passo davanti con mia moglie e mia figlia di 8 mesi e vediamo che dentro c'è una persona a mangiare. Spinto da lei (se fosse stato per me non ci sarei andato) entriamo e chiediamo se c'era la possibilità di mangiare e ci fanno subito accomodare. Immediatamente, visto anche la presenza della bambina, viene la signora a prendere l'ordine e ci racconta che nei giorni precedenti erano stati con il forno guasto e costretti a dire a tutti che la cucina era chiusa (perdonati). Iniziamo subito con le richieste per far mangiare subito la bambina e nonostante fossero tante(una ciotola con dell'acqua, troppa acqua se se ne poteva avere di meno, un po di parmigiano, un pò di olio, un cuscino per il seggiolino e così via.....lo so, abbiamo stressato la signora) lei sempre col sorriso a dirci si. Abbiamo mangiato non bene, di più, l'antipasto era buonissimo, i due primi scelti eccellenti e i dolci meritevoli. Il conto nella media. Lo consiglio a chiunque si trovi nei dintorni di Santa Maria degli Angeli"

"I’d give it 20 stars if I could! Honestly the best meal we had in Assisi. The lentil and pancetta dish was one of my favourite starters I have had in a long time. The ragu pasta was flavoursome and leaves you wanting more. Then the fondant cake, deliciously hot cake with beautifully melted chocolate inside- to die for! Just wish we had enough days to come back here for another meal. The staff are so welcoming and friendly and the passion is evident!"

"the structure is really very beautiful and cared for, the location where it rises then is spectacular. we stayed at dinner in the inn and opted for the Hortuli degotation: everything went very well, the staff is attentive to the demanding of the commensali and the very interesting proposals. The wine paper also fully reflects the philosophy of the place: next to the most famous labels we find a selection of biodynamic wines. I personally found a dish of anonymous and personalityless degotation, but since the other diners liked it, I think it's just a fact of personal gains."

"Cibo: Davvero buono e non molto costoso(in un gruppo da 10 persone ci hanno fatto l 'offerta 'primo+acqua ' a soli 8 euro a testa . Per chi ha visitato Assisi sa che in generale il sapore dell 'acqua delle fontanelle e non solo sa spesso di ferro, questo posto fa eccezione con un acqua molto buona. Per quanto sembrino piccoli i piatti riempiono molto. Personale: Preparato, molto simpatico anche per gli stranieri e generoso(Hanno erroneamente ritardato con un piatto e quindi hanno fatto fare un giro di pasta a tutti. . Ambiente non grande ma bello e suggestivo con molti richiami alla coltura casereccia Italiana. Bagni molto puliti e in perfette condizioni."

"There is good reason for the horrible ratings. Unfortunately we did not look this place up until after ordering. As per previous reviews, the service was horrible. The older lady serving us was miserable, didn’t smile at all, and made us feel completely unwelcome. The pizza was mediocre. We generally were paying for meals with credit card. Similar to previous reviews, our waitress would not accept credit card at the time of payment and said “cash only”. She said they did not have a debit machine…BS!! We had read about that shenanigan in the reviews. We pointed out that there is no sign or statement on the menu to indicate “cash only “ policy prior to ordering. We stuck to our guns and said we could only pay with credit card as we did not have enough cash with us. Our waitress then purposefully ignored us for about 15 minutes after we had asked to settle the bill. We asked a younger waitress to help us, and she said she wasn’t qualified to us the debit credit machine. Eventually our waitress produced a POS machine and we paid and left. I would never eat here again. It would take very little effort for the restaurant to at least increase from a 1-star to a 3 or 4-star. Just smile, make your customer feel welcome, and offer a credit debit payment when that is the customer preference! Surely that would be better than 0- star ratings???"
