Ávila, a walled city in Spain, is famous for its medieval architecture and culinary delights such as Chuletón steak and Yemas de Santa Teresa, a sweet egg yolk dessert.

"We found this restaurant in the fork, seeing the good score and the dishes they offered, we went. Unbelievable the food, the decommunal cachopo and the chuleton of gr. is desatisfied in the mouth, we order two meno and we are enchanted, I drink puppy for dinner. professional attention that is no longer in the sector, full of a few professional chusqueros and bitter who get into the hostel and harm those who are really professional and educated. I work in the sector and I can ensure that the deal of javier and juan, is not a if not a wave that is left by guys like that of cojonudos and professionals! Needless to say I will repeat on my next visit to avila. a greeting from the early"

"We were lucky to be there during the weekend when they had the medieval festival. The restaurant is nicely located by the walled old town. The place was very busy that lunch time but the waiters tried their best to be fast with their service. We had for our main course the beef cheek with red fruit sauce and potatoes. It was so good. Tender that it practically melts in your mouth. One of us loved the potatoes that she told the waiter about it. The waiter after serving everyone in our group came back and gave her an extra plate. That was totally unexpected but much appreciated. Nice gesture ... kudos to that!"

"Great atmosphere and location, great service, but the food was horrible. We went there precisely to eat Chuletón de Avila and we were horrified when GREY meat came out. The meat was decent quality however whoever was in the kitchen cannot cook! Of ALL the steaks I’ve had all over Spain this was BY FAR the worst. You could taste that the chef put the meat on the grill before it was hot. We ordered the steak medium rare and assumed it would come out dark charred on the outside and beautifully red and pink on the inside. Instead it was GREY and light brown on the outside clearly not grilled properly, and a weird light pink inside that left the whole thing flavorless. When we sent it back and asked them to make sure it was cooked properly, they brought it back 4 minutes later with little improvement. I feel badly because the waitress and the waiter were very kind but even they could tell we were sorely disappointed with the experience. I would never advise anyone to eat there."

"Stylish Italian place in a very elegant setting, a kind of a XVIII palace in Avila. The decor is minimalist, and the atmosphere is classy and dim. You´ll enjoy a quiet night out here. As for the food, sadly this will not be a one of a kind experience. It is plain and simple Italian, without any surprises. My pasta was exactly what I expected, and my wife´s pizza so and so. Not much to say about this. But since I think it is the only Italian in Avila, then it must be a very trendy place up there..."

"small bar-restaurant with traditional decoration inside the wall of avile, located practically opposite the square of abastos. with variety of tapas and pintxos offers several menus during the week, some of them with the speciality of the area: the Ávila chop. From the choice we make we are clearly left with the avila chop, the salmorejo and the carrilleras to the wine. Recommended! The rest of the dishes from the menus - alubias (very liquid), fries revolconas (peace and salt rises), Russian saladilla (normal could be better. The desserts were rich and gave us the opportunity to change them for a coffee with milk. The attention of the people of the restaurant was good and they were nice.I think it has ribs to improve to convert the fatty meson into a mandatory stop in avila: more mimo in kitchen for the traditional abulense dishes included in the menus, and review the cleaning of the floor of the dining room and the bathrooms."

"This place is simply *amazing*. You know those fiendishly expensive French “degustation” 6 course menus? Well the taste experience at this unassuming little tapas bar full of locals was equally as perfect, but for a fraction of the price, with friendly service and great football on tv. We were a bit surprised when a friendly elderly waiter said “best to combine the flavours: have a bit of chorizo and salchichón in the same mouthful”. Well, it turns out he’s the owner, and obviously takes tremendous pride in his tapas: his anchovy and marinated (by him) sardine on melted blue cheese (see pic) was another memorable taste explosion. And the (complimentary) chicharrón was to die for (probably literally: it was wildly unhealthy). And somehow the tortilla and pork ribs didn’t make it onto the bill, apparently they were complimentary as well. Laurie Lee had an unforgettable tapas experience well, we’ve just had it happen to us. I’ve been to many restaurants over the years, and have never got round to reviewing any of them: this little tapas bar in beautiful Ávila has finally got me writing."

"We order the menu of the day. I put 4 stars as it took me a long time to take care of us, between dish and dish and at the time of the account. the paro salad was good, the spinach had a lot of stem and the vinegar knew a lot about mustard. The burger was very good meat but the bread was a little hard and the cuchifrito. hard and graceless. dessert, a chocolate and cream cream was very good. the very nice staff even though they rushed to attend all tables (I felt that inside we were only two tables.) the place has me much for decoration."

"I read some opinions and they do not fit at all with the place I visited, or rather enjoyed, with my famila. First, the place. a marvel of patio with upper and portico galleries that only for the views already worth it. Second, attention. I can only think of it as impeccable by each of the professionals who have assisted us. and finally (although perhaps it should be the first), the food. exceptionally the special menu of which the Jews stand out and, of course, the avilian meat, without dismembering the tracks or cod with mushrooms. a place to visit in avila if or if. indispensable without doubt"

Recomendamos dicho restaurante...y volveremos"

"The restaurant is situated very near to the famous view point The four posts Cuatro postes . The atmosphere was a little bit odd: old beautiful stone wall and plastic Coca-cola chairs. We ate lunch and my husband chose thin veal stake anf french fries and that was okay. My choice wasn 't so succesful: trout with ham and the salad for both of us. The salad wasn 't very fresh, tomatoes were raw and asparagus was from the can while it is now season time for fresh ones. My trout tasted odd and was full of small boans. The ham wasn 't any better. The service was friendly and they had a menu also in english. The view was good, because you could see the town of Avila and its famous walls. But if you prefer good food and have a chance to choose, so pick another restaurant.

"this is a restaurant with great professionals, with quality products and an extraordinary elaboration. We were in the family, asked for the authentic avila tasting menu and could not be better. They put a spectacular and very balanced chanfaina as a snack. As we ask for cod croquettes, goats and Iberian ham, very creamy and good flavor. I also kicked as a kid, I haven't tried anything the same, better impossible. The best chips I've ever tasted, impressive. as main dishes we order chuletón, goose and chochinillo, to which best, it is noted that they know how to make the product. From desserts cake the baskets, cheese cake and apple sorbet with natural cider. the sorbete very obtained, knowing to combine the acid and freshness of the apple with the force of the cider. It takes very good cheese, it was juicy. and the pie the canteros is spectacular, recommended one hundred per cent, a very good cream with a touch of crocante almond that combine with wonder. The coffee of very good quality. We haven't been going to a restaurant like that for a long time, I always complain about the lack of professionalism of the hospitality industry, since everything is prepared, because here you have a restaurant that you can cook, and cook well, working products in raw and of high quality.Surely, we'll be seeing each other again and happy for your work!"

"the best hotel of avila without a doubt. I have not noticed because I am abulary but when they opened it after years of a thorough restoration it looked spectacular and today has not lost its original splendor. the location is privileged in the square of the cathedral and the cloister with a huge glazed dome. A few weeks ago we were at a birthday party and very well. I refuse a lot from the typical abulian tourist menu that tires me enough beans from the boat, fries revolconas and chuletón, but this time if I asked, the meat was very good, the incomings that were a proper tasting and the desserts failed me. They treated us very well. They brought us a cake with a birthday candle. a detail of the waiters"
