"Very good. the attention of all the staff was 5 stars, facilitating all the requests we made to them. the human capital is its strong. the great food, the service of the waiters, do a great job. But breakfast is terrible, very bad. coffee maker at breakfast or buffet breakfast sells a bad coffee not, the next. I was surprised. accessibility within the hotel is sometimes difficult to reach the rooms, there are stairs that are a discomfort and a barrier not only for people with mobility difficulty (major, people with crutches, .... but also when you take a baby sillita or with many suitcases or heavy ones. also comment that in our room the bath pipes smelled very bad."

"On Calle Reyes Católicos, not far from my hotel, I stopped for breakfast at Café Fortaleza before my day of exploring. It was busy, but not crowded, and I took a seat in the window after ordering my café con leche and tostada con tomate. When the woman behind the counter called out, I went and grabbed my food, and returned to my table. The coffee was excellent, and the toast was good. I enjoy being is spots with locals, and this was a great choice."

"I chanced upon this bar by accident and I was so very glad I did. The most friendly and lovely barman I met in Ávila served me wine with a free tapa of the most incredible pisto I think I've ever eaten. He had offered me some other tapa before that but I'd explained that I'm vegetarian and then he came back with the pisto and bread to mop it up with. It was heavenly. When I asked for another wine, he asked if I could eat tuna and said that he had a delicious bocadillo but that it had atún in it but if I didn't mind fish I was welcome to it. While I ate fish for a long time after I stopped eating other meats, I wouldn't now, but he was so lovely and really apologetic that he didn't have anything left that I could eat. Then inspiration struck and he went off and got me some cheese. Honestly he was the most friendly person and so kind. I think this place specialises in chuletón con patatas y ensalada and entrecot con patatas and such, but I think they should be putting big signs outside saying that they specialise in pisto!"

"I put this local stars for: - the food that we found of flavor brutal. The mixtures that had the dishes we ordered were amazing. and the presentation, for photography. - the location that is good, especially with good weather, that you enjoy the terrace next to the wall and other views. - for the attention of the staff who attended us that it was grata. and for putting a stick: the price is something high for the amount of food that brings most dishes. still, it is certainly a place that we will take into account where we will repeat safe."

"Pedimos hamburgiesa, ensalada y risoto. El beicon de la hamburguesa carbonizado , la ensalada bañada en vinagre balsámico (se puso de moda por ser muy decorativo y va cargado de azucar) cuando pedimos ensalada queremos un plato bajo en calorías y lo adecuado es que cada uno se la aderece. El risoto parecía arroz con leche, nadando en nata. El servicio atento, pero visto el resultado de la comida ya no me atreví a pedir postre. Son errores de poner poca atención en cocina, además la comida tardó en ser servida. En otra ocasión pediré ensalada sin aliñar y si en la hamburguesa hay algo carbonizado pediré lo cambien."

"Sitio horrible, un antro al que el nombre es lo único que le va bien, una vaquería para reses. Nos sentamos 6 comensales y la carne que nos sirvieron era un chuletón grasiento y duro como una piedra. Uno de los comensales, con más de 80 años de edad, devolvió la carne por que le era imposible masticar y entonces apareción un individuo que dijo ser el dueño y que con el plato devuelto en la mano se acercó y nos echo una bronca enorme, ¿qué que iba a hacer con esa carne ahora?, nos dijo. Como no le aguantamos su chuleria y mala educación nos amenazó con echarnos de su local (palabras textuales) de una forma chulesca, matona y sin la menor educación. En fin, que lo único que en esa Vaquería es peor que su comida es su servicio."

"Hemos estado de visita en Ávila, y nos recomendaron este sitio para comer. Estuvimos una familia de 2 adultos y 2 niñ@s. Para nosotros pedimos el menú degustacion de 42€, y tengo que decir que fue espectacular. De entrantes habia: judías de la granja sopa castellana papas revolconas el plato estrella CHULETON de casi 1kg.....que barbaridad!!! La carne estaba EXQUISITO, si volvemos cogeremos directamenteese plato, no es necesario el resto. Eso si, los postres impresionantes, sobre todo la tarta de queso. Para los peque cogimos menú infantil y un plato combinado. El trato muy bueno por parte de todos los camareros y muy atentos. Volveremos seguro, pero solo a probar de nuevo el Plato estrella."

"He estado varias veces y es un sitio que está muy bien.Tiene una barra repleta de pinchos muy bien preparados y con mucha variedad.Cuenta con un salón bastante amplio y una terraza cerrada muy grande también.La carta no es muy extensa ,pero los platos en general están todos buenos y tienen buena materia prima,en especial la carne,que es muy tierna y sabrosa. "For the first time since arriving in Spain we decided to take advantage of a set lunch menu whilst in Avila. The sun was shining bright and it made a pleasant rest sitting directly outside the walls, be it we were early for lunch as it was only 12.30 pm! Oddly English rock and pop music from the 80"s seem to be the chosen background to this lunch. To give you a flavour of what was on offer we had tomato and goats cheese salad and mash potato with paprika for starters followed by chicken stew and fried dogfish for mains with strawberries and cream and lemon mousse for afters. This was all for the sum total of 15 euros each and we left completely stuffed!"

"Fuimos de menú, que incluso en fin de semana está a un precio bastante bueno teniendo en cuenta las vistas del local. Pedí de primero patatas revolconas y estaban espectaculares. Riquísimas. Lástima que la ternera de Ávila, mi segunda opción, no acompañara la experiencia y buen sabor de boca que me dejó el primer plato. Otros comensales también se la pidieron y también terminaron decepcionados. Resultaba chiclosa, la verdad. El postre, en este caso yo me pedí unas natillas que venían con galleta, sí estaban a la altura. El servicio también fue bueno y el ambiente también, ya que sorprendentemente no era ruidoso, como es habitual en casi cualquier establecimiento de restauración en España, y eso se agradece."

On the one hand it has the restaurant, with a room where there are shelves with books and old instruments and old motifs of stone and wood. when you enter you realize that it smells of tradition, and also translates into its food. quality dishes and very well prepared. quality/price is very high. you can eat a chuletón of those who do not enter the dish for just over 20€. also has menu of the day for about 20€, but do not expect a current menu, everything is perfectly careful. the bar is also very cool, the bottom part is somewhat more normal, but on the upper floor they have an old room, perfect for coffee."

"No está mal. Se echa de menos que te pongan un rollito de primavera como entrante en lugar de como primer plato a elegir entre varios, pero te ponen postre y bebida. Y se agradece. Pedí tallarines que estaban bien. Al menos no se notaban pasados y con gusto a recalentado como me ha pasado en la mayoría de sitios que he probado (y me refiero a Madrid). Y el cerdo agridulce, bien, aunque el rebozado no estaba crujiente,ni todos los trozos lo llevaban. Pero estaba bueno. El camarero agradable y rapidez al preparar la comida. La única pega, que estaba yo sola comiendo, aunque es posible que fuese por ser miércoles y antes de las 2."

"Me gustaría matizar que fuí en un día donde tuvieron bastante movimiento. Las raciones que acompañan con las cañas, son muy pobres pero muy buenas. Las croquetas estaban bastante buenas. Con un gusto muy casero. Yo pedí la hamburguesa Adolina y después de tardar más de lo normal, me la trajeron con la mitad de ingredientes que decían que lleva. (Pan artesano lo dudo mucho, se dejaron el huevo y los pepinillos). Discrepo mucho de cómo venden ésta hamburguesa al resultado final. En fin, comida buena (parecía casera y se agradece) y algo económica pero puede haber sorpresas. Mejor ir y no esperar nada."

"We were having friends on the holy Saturday and the truth is that we had been well talked about the restaurant, but after dinner we were disappointed. to start with, it is a restaurant specializing in ox or vacuno meat, and the first thing they recommended was the chacina made with this type of quadruple, which is good. It could be eaten but it has nothing to do with the hut of marrano, which is the one that through the centuries in this country we have eaten because it is certainly the best for this product, sausage, sausage and let's not say the ham.
