"On Calle Reyes Católicos, not far from my hotel, I stopped for breakfast at Café Fortaleza before my day of exploring. It was busy, but not crowded, and I took a seat in the window after ordering my café con leche and tostada con tomate. When the woman behind the counter called out, I went and grabbed my food, and returned to my table. The coffee was excellent, and the toast was good. I enjoy being is spots with locals, and this was a great choice."

Everything was delicious and I'm short. the rich coffee, the best of avila province. The biscuits are the kings of the local, but it is that the toast of ham are the queens. to repeat when we return to the medieval restaurant. very advisable

Popped in for coffee and croissant having enjoyed a previous takeaway coffee from here. Lovely cool atmosphere in here nice welcome and very good selection of coffee and tea's on offer with lots of accompaniments cheesecakes pastries rolls etc. Lots of magazines/papers to read so pop in sit back relax and enjoy.

I was recommended this place by locals for a snack in afternoon hours that are neither lunch nor dinner time and they really hit the spot. Delicious huevos rotos , wine, plus cake and coffee, all (but the wine) home made, with charming attention. They are about to open a new restaurant in Ávila, I heard. Don 't miss it, either!

I recommend it 100%, I would respect it every day. to have breakfast and/or deserve the best of the best of avila. near the main square in a street that stands. There are a lot of homemade cakes, delicious coffee, churros, croissants, a tostadas of ham with tomato of village bread that melt you, etc.,...all delicious and very good attention. A wonder we go.
