"we have stumbled over this caffe after a long walk. it was like an oasis, we needed a cold drink. inside it is tastefully decorated with a relaxed atmosphere. very clean and comfortable. to our drinks we tasted some cake - a vegan apple-cocook cake and a mandarine with advocate. both were very tasty and inexpensive. the menu consists mainly of drinks, cakes and light snacks. the host was very attentive and gave us some ideas where we should visit and what we should eat. if we ever return to bamberg, we will definitely visit cafezimmer again."

"We were a group of English guys staying in Bamberg for a weekend of beer, sightseeing & more beer. Bamberg is, of course, the centre of the universe for fans of beer & brewing culture. One of our group found Cafe Abseits on the internet & it was possibly the best find of the weekend. I contacted the proprietor prior to our arrival to warn him of a group of 14 men in need of a hearty breakfast & some local "where to go" info. When we arrived, tables were reserved for us & we were warmly greeted by the owner who proceeded to tell us about the wonderful beer brewing heritage of Bamberg. We were served up a fantastic breakfast - the emphasis was on hearty portions rather than gourmet presentation, but we were all, without exception, greatly impressed by the quality & size of the meal. In addition to the great breakfast, Cafe Abseits has an impressive beer list, focusing mainly on local produce. We were treated to much inside knowledge from the proprietor during our ordering of beer. A man with an obvious passion for his product ! To cap it off, we were offered a sample beer, on the house, of a special beer brewed by a local independant brewer using hops grown by a local farmer. The owner didn't need to spend so much time with this level of personal attention, but he did & we were all blown away by our visit there. It's tucked away a bit, on the wrong side of the train station for most tourists making their way into town. But that only added to it's charm. Highly recommended to anyone with an interest in beer who is visiting this amazing town for the weekend. I could not fault this place & will remain indebted to the owner for such a warm welcome to Bamberg."

"I've been to Japan several times and I'm here to tell you this place is great. I stumbled in recently after a terrible experience being ignored at Brauerei Spezial, and had a lovely meal with a cosmopolitan and multilingual staff. Real crab in the California...roll!! It's right across the street from the Best Western in Bamberg which I also highly recommend and the wait staff was so delightful I returned for lunch the next day. It didn't hurt that it was Monday and just about everything else in town was closed, but still. A lovely bento box the second time. Just go"

"we were in cocoon last Saturday. what is offered here is unfortunately only disappointing. the smoky beef steak had a rubber-like consistency and the taste of the Thai curry court ordered by my man compared to that of an ordinary delivery service court - therefore in a ratio to a very high price more than inadequate!!The service staff was not attentive enough (after taking up our drinks orders we had to sayful 30min to wait for two (!) beverages, also need to be worked on the difficult to understand). For my man and me - as already mentioned - very disappointing, since our very high expectations to the cocoon restaurant in bamberg were unfortunately not fulfilled in the least. it is too bad for the beautiful, modern ambiente! we were for the first time and certainly also for the last time too gassed in the cocoon bamberg."

Very attentive, constantly asking if everything is okay and a champagne on the house for birthday. "First of all, we would like to thank the entire team of the Crown Prince for the outstanding service and the excellent food at our wedding party. You have made our celebration for us and all our guests an unforgettable experience that you will remember for a lifetime. On a Saturday in August 2017, we held our wedding party with nearly 90 people in the Crown Prince. The team took care of us from the champagne reception to the last minute. The service was excellent and our guests and we were very enthusiastic. We have not yet been served at any wedding party or other so big events as fast, friendly and reliable as the service team of the Crown Prince. The whole kitchen staff also deserves great recognition for the excellent food. For dinner we had a lot of different buffet style, from various salads to Pulled Pork Burger, Paella, Mini-Roggenkönige, pork medallions etc. to delicious, sweet nightishes. There was a very good carrot ginger chocolate soup and cold plates at midnight. You didn't know where to start and where to stop. We're bursting! Through our experience in the Crown Prince, which includes both our wedding party, as well as several normal dinners during the last years, we can recommend the place with the beautiful ambience warmly and without reservation. The crown prince impresses with exceptional ambience, excellent service, exceptional beers and delicious food. It is suitable for events of any kind. Next so We like to come back :"

"we had high expectations, which unfortunately were not fulfilled. The main point is the meat, for which we went extra to the steakhouse. the steaks had no crusty chest (word: Maillard reaction) and therefore no roasting staromas we would have expected at the advertised lavagrill. the portions (especially when surfing my man) were not appropriate for the quite high price. Moreover, we are not used to paying for the actually obligatory crimped butter already extra. Unfortunately, my spaghetti in the crusty was also a disappointment. the Tartar "Lot" was ridiculously small, the sauce was quite taste-neutral. not only to mockery: the service was very good and especially exceptionally friendly, although the waiting time for eating was a bit long. that we wanted to celebrate our wedding day and the birthday of my sohne, the price-performance ratio was really not appropriate. Pity!"

"my wife and I were eating there on 17.11.16 at 21:00. after the service didn't pay attention to us for 10 minutes we sat down on another table and complained the first time. I ordered a grill plate with bulgur rice and salat. the meat was fried absolutely dry up to the chicken. the rice and bulgur lukewarm and dry. the salat an absolute disappointment, had nothing to do with a Turkish salat. because the whole thing was too dry I ordered a special one, this was offered as an appetizer and got a paprika paste from the glass. I expect at the price, at least over 18 euro a fruity homemade ice cream to the grill plate. total absolutely inadequate performance. Too bad I have to forgive a point."

"Aufgrund des guten Wetters konnte man heute draußen oder im Lokal sitzen. Wir entschieden uns dennoch für drin, da es Abend doch wieder kälter werden sollte. Dort waren auch schon einige Tische belegt. Wir wurden an einen nicht eingedeckten Tisch gesetzt, der dann noch ab geputzt werden musste. Der Service war freundlich. Als Aperitif nahmen wir den Limonicello Spritz. Er schmeckte gut. Als Tagesempfehlung gab es u.a. Pizza Stella mit Rinder Carpaccio, scharfer Salami und Buratta. Die war wirklich gut. Also, falls sie im Angebot ist, ist sie auf jeden Fall empfehlenswert. Zum Dessert hatten wir Tiramisu. Auch das war geschmacklich gut, nur aufgrund des Schichtens in einem bauchigen Glas, hatte der Cremeanteil einen leichten Überhang. Bei dem Essen waren wir von der sehr guten Pizza in optischer Weise und Geschmack – freudig überrascht."

"Quality and taste of food was good except for the bread for which we asked with the pasta which was as hard as a rock. Among the Vegan options are a small or large flafel plate, spelt pastries and vegetable tacos, all served with large salads and delicious sweet sides. the servings are large and often contain full grain products. in the summer they can sit in a quiet courtyard, and on sundays they have mahr’s brown unpunded a famous local beer, on hahn. "restaurant for tourists with moderate German cuisine. service staff working in cheap discounter leather pants! we had nürnberger sausages and bamberger crust roast, as well as putensteak! the putensteak, after all, has tasted our gast from Africa! the sausages have looked and tasted as if they had been fried on the day before. kartoffelsalat was in order. to the knödel at the crustenbraten there were free still haare from kitchen staff...good appetit!"

"Croatian eating is only here in bamberg, here it is very cozy and so friendly. "Unfortunately, the room wasn't so great. it was just a heating that was hardly possible to adjust the water. Once they have only erected a minimum of cold water, the whole water was cold, but without cold water it was brewed. the specified tw only had to offer ard and zdf. the toilet was outside our room and the whole gasthof was very cold. the device should also be taken into account and some constructive measures would be recommended. I can't recommend it."

"ery friendly and efficient pizza makers! The time we went in to order 5 pizzas, they took 15-20 min, were delicious, and the two people making the pizzas were very efficient in their work and pleasant. We ordered the large size for 4 adults and one small for the 6 year old. He had no cheese and just ham, on a thin pizza crust, which looked good. We all loved the crust, and the pizzas were so light that you could easily fit in pies after them. I ordered the Ortolana (33) and they were fine with my ordering it without cheese. Light crust, the perfect amount of sauce so that it wasn't soaked and mushy, and lots of toppings! My spouse ordered the Schiacciatina (6) and liked the result. It is the crust baked and then the toppings put on, which means that the toppings are fresh and not cooked. One of our friends ordered the Quattro Formaggi (28) and loved the goat cheese and Gorgonzola. This was a very good meal, and we will be repeating it!"
