"Restaurant ist sehf zentral und bietet Innen- und Aussenplätze an.Athmosphäre und Deko angenehm. Der Service war auch gut, mussten nur etwas lange warten zum bestellen (Restaurant war leer gewesen). Die Karte ist gross und vielfältig, für alle was dabei und Preisklasse total ok.Ich bestellte ein Gorgonzola Cordon Bleu; es war gut, aber vermutlich nicht frisch, weil meine Penade ganz matschig war und nicht knusprig :(Gehen aber auf jeden Fall wieder hin für den Rest der Karte."

"Travelling by train from Lausanne to Zurich I felt like a break in the city of Biel/Bienne to have a bite and to try some local wine, since the area around the lake of Biel is a well known wine growing area. On that warm summer evening most locals had been heading towards the lake, thus the center was rather quiet. From the railway station I walked down the Bahnhofstrasse, where there are no cars, only city busses going through. On the right hand side can be found several eateries with outdoor seating. I chose the last one with almost no guests, but a friendly looking waitress. My order had been a glass of local white wine as a starter and the excellent waitress, who was also very informed about wine growing, recommended me a 'Schafiser '. Schafis is a village near the lake and it has given here the name to the Chasselas grape, which is so popular all over Western Switzerland and which is known as 'Fendant ' in the Valais. The modern looking restaurant in a functionalist style has all kind of dishes, also Fondue and Steak Tartare, but I went for a 'Falken Plättli '. On a plate of black slate are served cold cuts (roast beef, dry-cured ham, salami) and very little cheese, all topped by gherkins, caper berries and baby-tomatoes. Slices of dark bread and butter come with it and also a peppermill is brought along. To accompany the dish I asked for some local red wine and the waitress suggested a 'Pinot Noir ' from the village of Ligerz. The two deciliter came in a small caraffe. It was a quiet dinner and I enjoyed sitting outside and doing some people watching. After the tourist crowds of Montreux a few hours earlier it was relaxing to see no tourists here,on the other hand a for Switzerland surprising high number of obviously local residents with overseas roots."

"For fish lovers this restaurant has to be a top destination in Biel. Their fish soup served with lovely garlic bread is very different than most broth or cream based fish soups but also incredibly rich and tasty. And the fish skewer comes with a lovely sauce plus generous amounts of spinach and rice. Their wine list is mostly based on local production but there is also a small international selection. Along the permanent dessert card staples, they also serve seasonal dishes and the spring means strawberries and coupe Romanoff, an absolutely perfect choice with lots and lots of fruit. Making a reservation is probably a good idea especially on busy weekend days."

"I had the pleasure of dining at Ristorante Italia both at lunch and dinner, during a leisure trip to Biel. The menu presents genuine Italian dishes made with top quality ingredients (I am Italian and I can state that the ingredients were excellent with deep flavors and a selection of traditional pizzas. I discovered that all the pasta is home and handmade which makes the experience even more authentic! On top of the tasty dishes I want to praise the warm and dedicated service (Michele the owner will always anticipate any your request which conveys a sense of familiar that makes you feel good. I thoroughly recommend this restaurant to locals who are looking for a true gastronomic Italian experience."

"Unfortunately, I was disappointed for the second time. The food was tasty, but unfortunately I only have other criticisms. The portions are way too small! For the first time in my 40 years of life, I was forced to order a second main course after the starter and main course. When my friends were served dessert, there were at least two who regretted not doing the same. My wife, who is nine months pregnant and therefore has limited stomach space, wasn't full after the starter, main course and dessert. It's incomprehensible to me that people save on side dishes and vegetables at these prices. The wine list is large. "Wir sind zum wiederholten Mal im grünen Papagei eingekehrt und es war mindestens ebensogut wie bei unseren früheren Besuchen. Freundliche Wirtsleute und freundliches Personal, man zelebriert die Zweisprachigkeit geradezu, eben so, wie sich das für Biel/Bienne gehört. Im Sommer gönnt man sich den Apéro draussen und draussen nehmen die Raucher bestens getrennt von den Nichtrauchern Platz. Herrlich der erfrischende 'Wasserdampf' an 30°C+ Tagen (schon gesehen in Italien und Frankreich, aber noch nicht in der Schweiz). An den Vorspeisensalaten gab's nichts zu mäkeln, sie passen hervorragend zur heissen Jahreszeit. Die entbeinte, gefüllte Wachtel war das reinste Vergnügen und die Kalbsnierenscheibchen (geschnitten von der ganzen Niere) ebenso. Das klassische, aber seltene angebotene Paris-Brest als Dessert war wieder reichlich bemessen und mundete vorzüglich. Wir waren sicher nicht zum letzten Mal im Perroquet Vert, ganz im Gegenteil. Ausgezeichnete Auswahl an ausgezeichneten Weinen, wenn auch auf der eher hochpreisigen Seite."

"Wir waren zum Abendessen im Odéon für mich war es das erste Mal und ich hatte durch die Preise und vom Hören Sagen große Erwartungen, leider muss ich sagen, dass ich eher enttäuscht bin. Das panierte schnitzel war übersalzen und sehr fettig. Meine Kollegin hat ein Glas teuren Wein (ca 10.-) bestellt und dieser wurde in einem stark zerkratztem Glas serviert, als Sie den Kellner darauf ansprach, wurde der Fehler auf den Chef abgeschoben, dass dieser die Gläser in den Geschirrspüler tue und er nichts machen könne..Alles in allem würde ich dieses Restaurant nicht nochmals besuchen."

"The route took me to Farel for a coffee and unfortunately I left all too quickly. The coffee made with oat milk at no extra charge was delicious and could have been complemented by a vegan snack from the display case. The staff at the counter were friendly and bilingual, and the menu was pleasantly manageable. Unfortunately it was too loud/noisy inside for me the music was set a little too loud and the many flies almost drove me crazy. Because the beautiful ! inner courtyard was full, I soon left the restaurant."

"When you plan a visit to the Paul Klee Museum and you have time then have a lunch or a diner at the Restaurant Schöngrün which is located at the Museum. The menu they offer as a business lunch is great and you can choose out of 2 3 or 4 course menu including or excluding wines going with the different dishes. The service is great and the food is fantastic. If you like tiramisu spoil yourself with the house made version which will surprise you in a positive way."

"I gave 5 stars because my experience was perfect! First of all, the place is clean and in the Japanese minimalist spirit. The staff is very friendly. I ordered a bit of everything, I waited about fifteen minutes, but nothing annoying when you know that everything is done on time and I had a lot of fun with the whole thing. Everything was really very good. The packaging is super beautiful and quality. Regarding the price, I don't find it expensive. "Sehr positiv finde ich, dass die Person, die auch das Telefon abnimmt sehr gut Deutsch spricht. Am Telefon schien sie aber viel freundlicher zu sein als im Restaurant. Ein wenig lustlos stützte sie sich am Pfosten ab und nahm unsere Bestellungen auf. Eine zweite, sehr höfliche Serviceangestellte brachte uns Getränke und das Essen. Das jedoch in einem Tempo, dass wir froh waren dass das Restaurant fast leer war. Ich bestellte einen Gemischten Salat mit Erdnusssauce. Die Salatsauce war aber eine gewöhnliche französische mit etwas Erdnusspaste obendrauf. Geschmeckt hat es lecker. Das Satay Rindfleisch und das Gemüse waren ausgezeichnet. Von etwa 5 offenen Weinen gab es nur noch 3. Nicht einmal den Wein den sie auf einem Karton auf dem Tisch empfehlen hatten sie. Der bestellte Wein war aber gut. Ich war etwas enttäuscht vom Jasmintee. Er kam hübsch angerichtet in einem Kännchen, aber leider war nur ein Teebeutel drin.Ich hatte das Restaurant besser in Erinnerung, aber alles in einem ein guter Abend."

"Also wir am Samstagabend kurzfristig in der L Osteria essen wollte, haben wir uns auf einen schönen Abend gefreut. Der Kellner war von Anfang an gut gelaunt. Wir haben bestellt und unser Esser erhalten. Bei meinem Essen war der falsche Käse drauf. Ich habe den Kellner darauf aufmerksam gemacht. Seine Reaktion war grandios. Er hat sich sehr höflich entschuldigt und umgehend eine neue Portion bestellt. Danach war alles perfekt. Uns wurde sogar eine Nachspeise offeriert, weil ich alleine essen musste, da ich wegen dem Fehler ja noch auf meinen Hauptgang warten musste. Der Abend war für uns aber trotzdem so gelungen, weil die Reaktion vom Personal einfach perfekt war. Fehler können passieren, aber der Service machts aus!!!Top Preis-Leistungs-Verhältnis!!! Und der Geschmack ist einfach immer super..."

"Für ein kleines Arbeitsessen verabredete ich mich mit Geschäftspartner im Restaurant Räblus. Da es ein toller Sommertag war entschieden wir uns für einen Platz auf der Gartenterrasse. Wir wurden im Restaurant knapp empfangen und gleich auf die Terrasse geschickt. Dort angekommen wurde uns ein Tisch mit toller Aussicht zugewiesen. Das ist zwar toll aber als ich für vier Personen reservier habe dachte ich auch an einen Tisch für vier. Der uns zugewiesene Tisch war wirklich zu klein für vier. Insbesondere für ein Geschäftsessen bei dem man die Partner noch nicht so gut kennt. Wir baten um einen anderen Tisch denn wir dann auch bekamen. Die Mittagskarte ist wirklich kleine und es gibt nicht viel Auswahl. Weder bei den Speisen noch beim Wein. Langsam füllte sich die Terrasse und wir wartenden aus meiner Sicht eine Spur zu langen, da das Personal an uns vorbei lief und sah, dass wir breit waren zu bestellen. Da wir es nicht kompliziert haben wollten bestellten wir alle das gliche. Die Speisekarte auf Plastik finde ich auch eher nicht angebracht. Die Speisen wurden dann hingegen rasch serviert.Mein Fazit aus dem Besuch in der Räblaus ist leider nicht so toll. Die gebacken Eglis waren zwar frisch und gut aber in der Präsentation könnte was optimiert werden. Tatar Sauce in Plastikschälchen, finde ich nicht angebracht. Die Terrasse ist zwar schön gelegen aber auch da könnte im Layout und in der Möblierung massiv verbessert werden. Im Service würde ich auch etwas mehr erwarten, Nachfragen, Weinempfehlung u.s.w. Ich denke, dass das Konzept (einfach & günstig – was es nicht wirklich ist) der Räblaus nicht zu der ansonsten tollen Lage und der entsprechenden Erwartung passt. Aber da die Lage des Restaurants so toll ist, wird die Entwicklung sicher noch etwas andauern. Leider."

"Waren mit der Familie das erste Mal über Mittag hier. Freundlicher Service, tolle Karte. Qualität war sehr gut und geschmacklich top! Leider mussten wir uns im Bistroteil platzieren und der ist echt hässlich und in die Jahre gekommen. Am Abend sitzt man im Rondel und dort sieht es einladender aus. Wie wir gelesen haben, soll dieses Restaurant geschlossen werden, somit verstehen wir auch den veralteten Bistrocharme. Die Investition kann man sich somit sparen. "We have been coming to this restaurant since 10 plus years, some times the service is good sometimes it’s utter rubbish. My husband ordered few times beef steak medium rare they never can get it right. Today 16.10.2023 we were served by Sylvie with red hair, awful , mean , miserable woman. She absolutely looked miserable and unfriendly. Just because of her attitude I decided not to eat just have a coffee and go, she asked me if you don’t eat why did you use our napkins. Napkins are if you are eating only. What a big deal…… we do pay service charges just to let you know. Awful service….."
