"I ordered a veggie omelette with bacon. My wife said she would also like the veggie omelette, but without cheese. She mentioned that she was gluten free as well. The omelettes arrived, mine had bacon on top, my wife’s had avocado, and neither had veggies. Both were covered with plain toast (gluten free wife, remember. . We explained to the waiter that my wife was supposed to have bacon as well and he was short with my wife, disagreeing with her about her order. He said she had not asked for bacon, she had asked for a veggie omelette. That was true…but with a side of bacon. When we cut into the omelettes neither of us had veggies. Just cheese in mine, and hers was empty. Just rolled eggs into the shape if an omelette. Neither had a single piece of onion, pepper, any sign of veggie whatsoever in the “veggie omelette.” When I asked the waiter about it he was again short but did offer to take it away and bring the correct plate. Before agreeing to have the omelette taken away, (we had waited quite awhile for it, despite their being very few other customers, I asked the waiter if the veggie omelette was supposed to be like the ones we were given. I didn’t want to make them send the meal back if I had somehow made the mistake. He responded “It’s a veggie omelette and of course it’s supposed to have veggies. Do you want me to take it back or not?” We both agreed to have the plates taken so we could receive what we had ordered. The waiter and the cook argued loudly with each other for awhile, and we waited longer and discussed weather we should just pay for our coffe and leave. Finally our “veggie omelettes” came. Again, moth covered with bread that was not gluten free. This time my wife and I both had bacon AND avocado. (The avocado still remains a mystery; it was not in the ingredients on the menu. But alas, even the second time around NEITHER OF THE OMELETTES HAD VEGGIES. Not.one.veggie…in the “veggie omelette” that even according to our less than polite waiter, “of course was supposed to have veggies. We ate and left, never to return again. The review is two stars instead of one because the cappuccinos we ordered were correct. In case anyone is wondering, my wife is Italian and we are both Italian speakers. We live in Sardinia. It was not an issue of language. The review is written in English as a warning to tourists since the cafe is usually frequented by tourists."
