"Last weekend was originally planned to honour a Greek in the surrounding area. In the short term it was planned. It should be inner-city and German. On the way there were five adult people who had reserved seats a few days before. Very normal, without special events. People who appreciate good food as well as a well-kept beer. For all of us there is a cozy environment for eating in peace. So it happened that we met before the place at the agreed time at 7:00 on Saturday night. And before the entrance of the place the first confusion: today closed from 9pm! With hunger, the expectation of a beautiful evening with more than one gang and question mark in the eyes. We're entering the place. Sudden silence from the group at the entrance right. Who doesn't know them, the exaggerated situations in films when the chapel fades, the guests stare at the new arrivals and, after a certain time, raises the gem? Here only the chapel missed.... We were led by a friendly lady to our place. In the midst of zig pendulum clocks, which draw attention to themselves with their TickTick. In arched spaces of the ancient style; it is an ancient, historical building on the edge of the old town of Coburg, no wonders of light are expected. It's stupid, almost post-apocalyptic. The maps were distributed very quickly to us. I would like to note that I was on the internet for free looking for a page of the restaurant. I felt against it, reviews that could not be more different and threw me into a changing bath of feelings. Also the search on Facebook was only crowned by a partial success: the reference to the website leads a dead link to the portal restaurant criticism that has been exhibited for a long time. And among us, if I had seen the prices invoked, I would have hired a veto. There are only two possibilities in our region: it is either very much on the plate, rather simple. Or it's a normal portion, very high for that. The readout on the Internet has unfortunately caused me to fear the first. So it came that we are forgiven for giving me approximate prices, because we have not received partial invoices. as follows: Grill plate about 19 Euro Schnitzel ala Chef ca. 15 Euro Cordon bleu ca. 15 Euro Schnitzel with Senf Meerrettich Panierung ???? € The beverage prices were probably what is currently considered to be suitable for tourists in Coburg. It took some time to get our food to the table. But freshly prepared and hot at least in my case. At first there was a small tray with the associated supplements. It was a salad and fries with me. The salad exactly as I like it. Raw food, perfectly seasoned, I think I had a hint of garlic with the carrots. No matter, great. The pommes nice crispy, not too sharp, great. One of the scavengers with mustard and horseradish. Disillusion with the ladies who chose that. A breakdown that was taken together twice as thick as the carving meat itself. The outer part crispy, the closer to the carving meat, the more soy. Also the certain sharpness derived from the description in the map and desired was lost. So the fight against a meat panning melange began, which was not to win. It was one of the terms that fell. The lady on the right side of me then also complained about a proper heartburn. On the other hand, the potato salad, also the radish, was very enjoyable, and all those who tried it were agreed. A unanimous opinion of the two women eating this dish: no more! The grill plate for 19 euros. We call in memory (yes, I know you don't compare SOLL anymore, but I do that anyway, cry... that 19 euros were almost 38 DM. Weapons came to the table. Meaky, more, less tanned potatoes that float in the frying oil. With a taste of oil. This was also said to the service lady while serving, which was acknowledged with a shoulder streak. It was extremely striking with the bacon beans. I don't know how and why, but also these are swung in fat. If a very good eater and connoisseur of matter give up voluntarily beforehand (in another place we left ourselves down to dessert.... then that means nothing good. One day after that, he still has the feeling in the stomach area to have done nothing good to his stomach. The Schnitzel ala chief of my accompaniment consisted of the following parts: Panten pork, mushroom sauce, potato roast and salad. Salad and Rösti very tasty, a great sauce and a very thin scavenger, which has also been framed here by a breakdown in a total of almost three times in strength. Here too was too much on the plate. One or two euros less and an appropriate amount, even without an empty stomach, would be better. My cordon bleu. Actually, not bad, I just wished a slightly more powerful cheese here, other customers would prefer it mildly. So, no lack. Pommes and salad were perfect, my panning was quite thin and crispy until the end. So I was lucky. Besides: my portion was too big. Who stands on XXXL portions will be happy here. The toilets can be reached as well as the restaurant. To the ambience... For guests who need an experience excellent. The place speaks with its design and probably also with the map the people who visit Coburg as tourists. And the many. Unfortunately, not what could have been due to the fact that we felt under time pressure. A small note on the phone when booking and days later when the reservation was increased would have led us to postpone the visit by a week. So remains in memory: hot, greasy, uncomfortable (by the loudly ticking and all the other(! going, partly sounding watches . Clearly, it is called BratwurstGLÖCKCHEN, but you don't have to overdo it either. Our conclusion: No more... You can love it or hate it, there won't be much in between."

"On Saturday afternoon my mates and I decided to go to dinner with our friends in the evening. At first we tried to book for twelve people in another place. However, as this didn't work, we decided for the Kam Yin Jade, reserved there and experienced a different, extraordinary evening. But later more. The restaurant is located right next to the garage wall, not far from the pedestrian zone. The restaurant itself does not have its own parking space, so it is almost forced to park in the garage, because the parking spaces on the street are sewn. The restaurant consists of a room where there is an estimated 35 people. While we stayed there from 7 p.m. to about 9 p.m., the restaurant was usually not even half full. However, some customers came by who had ordered food to pick up. I don't think that the service personnel in Chinese restaurants need to speak English without errors, but the two services, I guess it was the boss and the boss, really speak very badly German, so that one had to agree with hands and feet. Taking up food and drinks was therefore a small adventure. Also, in places, the operators seemed somewhat unfriendly and sharp, but what, as I believe, was not even meant evil, but simply its kind. The drinks have been waiting for you a little longer. I ordered a crystal wheat from Paulaner for 2.60 euros. In this place, I've experienced something I've never seen before. The operation did not take any tips when taking partout. On request, she said that she herself has three children of about our age, who are all studying, and she therefore knows that young people have no money left. She made it very sympathetic. The menu is the most confusing I've ever seen. The card, composed of a main card and three or four double-sided printed insert sheets, is made up of over a hundred dishes. All courts are assigned numbers or letters, which does not make the whole clearer. There are, for example, the B9 or the 9B or also the KY... . In addition, the menu only strikes against spelling errors. I chose the baked Wan-Tan (3.80 euros) as an appetizer and crispy roasted chicken meat with sweet-sour sauce (9.50 euros and is served with rice and vegetables). A fried duck with sauce, rice and vegetables costs 12 euros. It is also worth mentioning when looking at the price of 1.50 euros, incredibly rugged and favorable spring roll. The Wan-Tan came after about ten minutes and were really hot. But that was the only positive thing at the appetizer. The Wan-Tan simply consisted of panned and fried slices of cooked ham. These were not really crispy, but mostly flaky, and also drank from fat. Everything but delicious. The crispy roast chicken meat continued the impression of the appetizer. The meat was panned, fried and also extraordinarily greasy. In addition, the meat looked like sprinkled, so like chicken fillet torn in pussies. Chicken nuggets were the most similar. The sauce, or rather it was a dip in an extra bowl, as the rice were fine. The portions were real, after about half the main course I was sick. The dishes were prepared in the typical Chinese snack bar style. Not particularly appealing or extravagant. I would have given the food two stars, but most of my fellow eaters were satisfied with the food or even praised it, I give three. I personally wouldn't recommend the restaurant, but if you want to get a portion of fried noodles quickly, it's still okay. The Kam Yin Jade meets all cheesy clichés of a China restaurant. Chinese music, Lampions, an aquarium with Kois. Especially our table decoration was. Since there is no table for twelve people in the restaurant, tables were simply pushed together and paper napkins were used as tablecloth. And then the hammer: on our tables there were over thirty beer felts, which were thrown without choice, which no man needed. It just looked stupid. I'd like to know what the staff was thinking. Cleanliness The place itself was clean. The room in which the toilets were located could have been cleaned again. There it was very dusty."

"Brauhaus zu Coburg in situated in one of the more quite streets of the town of Coburg in Oberfranken. No traffic passes and it´s in walking distance from the town´s centre. We´ve eaten here four or five times previously and have generally been content, when not fully satisfied, with our visits. Last weekend however, the young waitress – whose happy face can be seen pictured on this restaurant´s flyer, didn´t wear a smile. She had a solemn look and perhaps, was contemplating, whether to move on and work somewhere else! I didn´t get the impression, that she was either enjoying serving us or other customers, or even enjoying her work. I never take people who work in restaurants for granted. In fact I believe, especially because they are like you and I, basically human, they can have their “bad days”, too! I would politely like to comment however, that depending on the sort of work we do, (working with people, animals, computers, and so on) we should perhaps make the effort to behave accordingly. This young waitress “did her job” in the sense she took orders and brought the food and beverages to occupied tables – but nothing more! If she was indeed having a bad day, then I can only offer some sympathy. Despite my sympathetic understanding, a show of unapproachable and disinterested body-language, is not good for business!I didn´t really enjoy my food and I didn´t eat the whole dish, though like in other southern-German restaurants, the “Kellerbier” tasted good. Having visited this restaurant on many occasions before, I instantly noticed the shrunken potion of the sauerkraut salad as the food was served. Cut backs I can only assume. A radio station´s music/songs, news and weather can be clearly heard in this restaurant. In my humble opinion, it is sometimes better to hear no music or songs, but to simply enjoy the cheerful and subdued conversations of fellow customers. This restaurant´s choice of dishes is quite limited. Perhaps one of the major reasons for an indefinite “rain check”, regarding visiting this place again any time soon!"

"Coburg and its market halls. The Coburger ansich is rather word-carg. Unless there's a new one that can be mistrusted and discussed. Years ago we had a wonderful hall in the Steinweg, unfortunately it was not accepted. Before, during and after that, each Coburger actually knew how to do better than the operators. And so it is again: everyone knows how it is, but no one has the courage and concept for something better. Like the new edition. However, and here one has to give the negative votes right, a market hall in the actual sense is something different from what has arisen here. But, let's go neutral and just look at it. Very positive: The underground car park, which is located two floors directly below the market hall. The inclined visitor comes here dry foot and, if desired, with a quite large elevator directly into the hall. Toilets are available in the garage, even in the gastronomy, all according to the latest standard also for wheelchair users. A plus point. The restaurant itself is... well, modern. A clever lighting system on the high ceiling, quite cozy chairs and tables made of solid wood. Unfortunately, one sees the plates (astholes... that there was no one really looking for his carpenter's work. No matter, we want to eat, but in a nice atmosphere, it's too good to stay. Clean is everything, the tables are also decently decorated, for this there is at least one Naja . The card is not overloaded, for every taste (as long as it goes in the Asian direction something is there. Sushi, Currys, Wok dishes... The usual suspects. I dare to say: theme with variation. No more, no less. Why do Asians always have to be typical Asians in our city? Either buffet or some vegetable mix with sauce and rice. Thank you. Another one who missed a chance to settle down from the one of the glutamate runners. Too bad. Just here, in this new environment, it would have been possible to serve once meals that are away from what is sold to Europeans as Asian. The view into the menu shocks once again. Seriously? 0.4 liters of specificity (CHUCKLES) or a replacement product? for 3.90 €? Love gastronomics, we talk here about a glass of water with sugar, carbonic acid and a few grams of flavors. OK, the rent is expensive, but also the mass can make it for drinks. But don't worry, I'll drink a little specific. 0.2 liter to €2.20. 11 euros for the liter of industrial drink? Let's go. We're here in Franken, not in Munich. Thus it remains with a drink. For this an ieeeeeek!!! . If you are already on site, you should be brave and try what's on offer. We ordered the number 88. Three varieties Sushi (I just take the collection name, a total of 16 pieces, instead, as announced three varieties á eight pieces. Well, we haven't noticed, either. The price of 9.00 Euro is fair, we shared this dish as an appetizer. Freshly prepared, no exaggerated show rolls, tastefully good, though not hammery. We were happy and got more than we hoped. No absolute highlight, but far away from the unspeakable stuff that floods the country thanks to the discounter. Since the working person is not fed with a handful of rice, we have also approved a second gear. My companion chose WOK Vegetables .fried Vegetables with crispy duck. €10.90 will appear on the invoice. Vegetables came on the plate, good edible, also seasoning was good. Unfortunately, however, there was no sauce with which the duck was dried and the rice in particular became quite dry. The taste was excellent, the portion was fine, but my accompaniment then made a part of my saturation wander over the table. Anyway, wok vegetables, especially in combination with duck, we no longer come to the table. At least not in Michido. For me I also chose wok vegetables, unfortunately my preferred variant with pig or beef is not possible. That's how my plate should certify poultry, just chicken. Not the crispy version, because I had the fear that the breakdown would soften in the brew. Hardly the plate stood in front of me, two things were suddenly clear to me: a I am not fed up. b no sauce, so also crispy would have been possible. Well. The taste was excellent, no complaints, light but very pleasant sharpness, to taste the vegetables individually if only the portion had been a usable. The champignon and the sprouts on the plate show well what extent the food had. A little comment on the picture: I photographed the portion as it was placed in front of me. The traces on the plate were probably from the sauce, before she crawled into the rice shortly afterwards. The combination of high beverage prices with lost sauce and light sharpness are already accusing me. We spent 90 euros on the WE for a local visit, a few weeks ago 160 euros. Without ticking with the eyelash, alone because the food was good. And we're saturated, though not full. If we were happy to have spent one or two more euros, the portion would be appropriate. Ergo: 35 euros for two non-saturated, thirsty visitors leaving the restaurant for a long time. The quality fits if nothing exciting new is served. But the beverage prices and the portions need fine tuning. And if it just gets a little more rice and sauce. P.S.: I cannot present an invoice today for the reason that the place is still waiting for the cash register. Let's start with a few months."
