"Al Forno has amazing food - from their pasta to their made-where-you-can-watch wood burning brick oven pizza!! Overall, the favorite Italian restaurant of my family and friends when they visit us in Esslingen. The only problem - the service is not so great...some days they are friendly and there in a reasonable time - other days, they seem to debate for 15 minutes whether they want to take your order at all. I have a hard time with that. Their prices at lunch for one of their 4 lunch specials are great (7 Euro), but any other item ordered incurs an additional 3-4 Euro for the small lettuce salad and the prices are somewhat high compared to other Italian restaurants in town. They do have sidewalk tables to sit at almost year-round and from March - October, there is a very nice ice cream store next door that also has outside tables (not sure if they will take your order at the pizza tables, but it's worth a try)."

"we were recommended by customers in metropolitan for lunch.It is available daily for 5.90€ lunch and 5.50€ nudelbuffet and an salattheke where you can use yourself so often you want...it was a lot off, I had on Wednesday as day-eating pulled-beef burger it was the hammer. then we are again there on Thursday, there were carvings with pommes, it was really good.. that is now my hometown at midday, I will try again at night, then I will be divorced."

"Recently we've spend a good dinner evening at Kohinoor. The buffet (Tuesday to Thursday - 10€) was well organised. Soup and chicken wings as starter, shahi paneer and chicken korma - and of course dāl.Service was fast and friendly - many people were there, which I take for a good sign ...Food good and descent - not very Indian though, which might be 'helpful' for Germans .... ;-)I loved the the desserts most - wonderful kulfi taste and semolina with safron and kardamon.We'll come again soon!"

"Dem kleinen unscheinbare Restaurant am Rande der Esslinger Altstadt einen Besuch abzustatten, ist ein absolutes muss! Obwohl mit Personalmangel gekämpft wird, schafft es das Team des Goldenen Fässle immer wieder uns kulinarisch zu verwöhnen. Der Chef in der Küche meistert seinen Job und die Bedienung ist stets aufmerksam und freundlich. Die Karte wurde zwar verkleinert, aber mit dem täglichen Zusatzangebot in Form einer Tafel, kommt jeder auf seine Kosten! Also meine absolute Empfehlung: Raus aus dem zentralen Mittelpunkt in Esslingen hin zum Goldenen Fässle !"

"Eating at Brauhaus zum Schwanen was our "splash out" meal of our holiday. For me, the starter of cold cucumber soup with diced herring was the outstanding item: refreshing and delicious. The husband loved his starter of tartar of herring and the son had no complaints about his Maultaschen. For the main course they had the Schweinhaxe, which they thoroughly enjoyed. I had a small portion of the roast pork with Semmelknoedel, which was good. The ground floor dining room is very smart and modern. Going downstairs to the toilets, you go through the old-fashioned Keller, which smelled rather damp. The service was efficient but we were rather perturbed by all the laughter and chatter coming from the kitchen. Not that we think the staff shouldn't enjoy their work, but the fun in the kitchen is why I'm giving 3 rather than 4 stars for service. Three starters, three main courses, three beers, an Apfelschorle and two coffees came to €91.90."

"The place is more dedicated to delivering, but still they have three tables for very hungry people. Their kitchen is probably five times bigger than the restaurant but that's what they need, because the food.. the food is FANTASTIC! Really tasty and fresh ingredients, the dough of the pizza was crusty and very tasty, nothing to compare to what people are used to in such a fast food restaurants. "They have a great variety of Asian food - Thai, Vietnamese and Indonesian. Excellent value for money especially around this area. The portions are generous and there's always something for everyone - vegetarians, pescetarians, flexitarians and even vegan. You just have to ask. The restaurant has a very welcoming atmosphere and the food is absolutely delicious. You always get a hefty serving of healthy vegetables in most dishes. The owners Vietnamese and if you are up for typical Vietnamese food, they can recommend a dish that suits your taste. The restaurant is also very accessible by public transportation, just about 3 minutes walk from the train and bus stations of Esslingen am Neckar."

"first of all, you have to take into account that was a lot going on. we have set ourselves directly to a table that became free that the waitress had no time to wipe the ab was predictable and also not bad. the drinks came timely and also the appetizers came quickly. they have tasted fresh, even if my opinion belongs to garlauch on buscetta. we were very hungry and therefore we did not find so great that we had to wait for our main meals for longer than half an hour. we had ordered 3 pizzas (capparchio, piccante and with seafood) and ravioli with extra stone mushrooms. the pizzas were good apart from a bad clam. can happen to everyone. Price/performance ratio therefore top. I was not fed up with the ravioli. I have paid 8,50 for 9 micky filled noodles and for one stein fungus again 3,50 extra. what I personally found a little hard. so we like to eat pizza again. from other things I let the finger, because personally I was the price for the mini portion too expensive! but: it was delicious."

"so we were four people who had participated in the rittermahl on 21.10.2016. 50 people in the back next room that seemed too small for this event. the only thing that reminded of a medieval ambiente was a trembling; Besides there were old ski jumpers from wood - I didn't even know that the ritters were skiing at that time....what a stylistic break. the service had a lot of effort, but was totally overwhelmed. the tables were so tightly placed to undermine as many people as possible; only the guests who sat on the front sides were able to be served correctly. during the removal of the dishwasher all guests had to transport this to the respective front side, and the service took it from there into the kitchen - a nogo. So you can do it, of course.Now we come to the food.Event flädlesuppe: here the Maggi-Ritter has hit the first - totally salted and artificial.Main course spanferkel: this main course could have been called knight-Pfanni, because it has tastefully failed again. spanish itself was ok, but the soße was only artificial and fade, the blue herb from the dose and sugar sweet - underground.Nextly ices: however, it was not especially important.What made the evening bearable and quite funny was the program with which several people were commissioned. they did not make it the first time, the guests asked for a drink after they had been retired.That was really culinary and we were disappointed for 55,- €. we cannot recommend this locally all four unfortunately. there is much better.Why do you not have to do this great location of the restaurant is a ruchel. I have the impression when eating a bit better than a ready-made dish, many people of today are happy with it despite the miserable."

"The food is in principle well, at least well thought solid Swabian cuisine. Z. B. Good feathers in the soup, pork from the Schwäbischhächische pig. The medallions of it were z. B. very good, delicate, good sauce with mushrooms. But the ladle schnitzel is not completely optimal at least with great visitor margins. The banage too hard, probably prefabricated and then fried. "we stayed in the i tenori for dinner today, which was very tasty. since I had eaten several times here, I could recommend my friends this restaurant with good sense. but although we all, partly with appetizer, and all with wine, a glass of water was denied to us. on demand when ordering another wine, we were told that it was not permitted by law to pour out water in the pipeline if we were to offer still water on the map and that was not possible for reasons of hygiene. I often go to eat in edibles and never had in a local problem to get a glass of lead water - since then also in the i tenori - and I cannot understand the foundation. is it worth a glass of water to push its guests in front of the head? we will not eat out of this land anymore!"

"Das essen ist ok und das Ambiente ist recht einladend. Der Service war nicht gerade überschwänglich freundlich aber dennoch kompetent. Der Spielplatz vor dem Restaurant war das Highlight für meine Tochter und macht einen gepflegten Eindruck. Das Restaurant ist barrierefrei und es gibt genügend Parkplätze. Alles in einem würde ich wieder kommen. Ich würde mir allerdings einen freundlicher Service wünschen und eventuell größere Portionen."

"Guten Tag, muss leider wen ich könnte auch minus Sterne geben, das erste wir waren die ersten Gäste an diesem Abend im Lokal und dann bekommt mann nicht mal die Bestellung hin zu fast 80% dann hat mann dauraus noch witze gemacht auf den nacken vom kunde geht gar nicht wurde das falsche geliefert das mann sogar den fehler von den auch noch bezahlen. Dann die härter beim rein gehen fragt mann ob man mit ec karte zahlen kann vier mal gefragt hieß ja es geht draußen sogar geworben wurde erst hinterher gesehen. Dann wo wir zahlen wollte wurde gesagt das es hier nur bar Zahlung geht und habe nur eine lebige selbstgeschriebene Rechnung auf Bestellzettel bekommen. So was hat man am 2 WeihnachtTag Hier ist der Kunde nicht König schweige gern gesehen und dann nach mein Gefühl die Steuer zu umgehen Von 13 Leuten hatten 8 nach ner 1,5 Stunden Magen Problem bis zu Durchfall. Lässt die Finger davon Leider kann ich auf die geantwortet Bewertungen nochmals Antwort darum mache ich das hier. Habe sie jetzt fünf mal versucht zu erreichen leider ohne erfolg !!! Persönlich geen aber wohnen leider über ne Stunde von ihnen entfernt. Wieso müssensiw mir drohen e ist leider die Wahrheit. Dazu gibt es 13 (4 Familien Zeugen."
