"Die Reservierung war Ok. Leider nur ein Menü, nicht a-la-carte (Sylvester Abend) War aber nicht angekündigt. Vorspeise und Hauptgang bestellt. 1/2 Stunde später kam die Vorspeise. Grosser Teller, sehr wenig drauf. Dann ging 1 Sunde nichts mehr. Vermutlich viel zu tun an solch einem Abend... Als wir nachgefragt haben hat sich herausgestellt dass unsere Bestellung vergessen wurde. Man hat uns dann 10mn später die 2 Hauptgerichte gebracht. War gut aber innerhalb 5mn gegessen. Wir haben dann den Spass an dieser Stelle abgebrochen. Das hat uns 86Euro gekostet und wir sind hungrig und verärgert gegangen."

"Ich habe diesen Sommer meine Zeit in Vietnam verbracht und muss ehrlich sagen, dass ich hier teilweise eine bessere Pho bekommen habe als in Vietnam! Es ist hier wirklich sehr authentisch. Was andere vielleicht bemängeln mit den Essstäbchen aus Holz, die eben nur gewachsen werden (wie jedes andere Besteck auch) ist völlig normal und wird in Vietnam immer so gehandhabt. Also man sollte sich nicht an Kleinigkeiten aufregen und mal die schönen Seiten genießen. Und dieses Restaurant finde ich wirklich sehr schön authentisch. Die Mitarbeiter sind nett und zuvorkommend. Und auch das Essen ist überragend. PS: wenn irgendwo Einheimische essen, dann kann es nur gut sein und glaubt mir, dort trifft man immer viele Vietnamesen an. Also: wer ein Stückchen echtes Vietnam in Freiburg erleben will, ist hier gut aufgehoben. Der einzige Unterschied ist natürlich der Preis. Hier ist es teurer als in Vietnam."

"We went to the restaurant due to excellent ratings it has on TripAdvisor. But during the night, almost everything went wrong.First, we made a reservation but when we arrived, the staff told us that we must wait cause our table was occupied. We ended waiting for 15 minutes.The service was rude and we weren't well attended. The waitress forgot our command and we ended waiting almost an hour for food, so they served it nearly the closing time. Thus, we had to rush and we couldn't order any dessert. But, dessert was the last thing we wanted, because the food was tasteless and badly seasoned. So, we had better spent our money in fast-food, it would have been cheaper and we wouldn't be hungry."

"Meega Saturday in Freiburg. Ms. and daughter ubier had again a sore throat, which could only be relieved with extensive shoe and handbag therapy. "In terms of gluten-free food everything went well. Staff was friendly and knew about gluten-free diet. Gluten-free bun was an extra €2, and came marked with a stick in the burger. Generally it didn't have a great hygiene standard though. Tables didn't get wiped and floors were sticky. Considering you had to set the table yourself put everything away yourself I thought it a bit pricey."

"Was in Freiburg on a family vacation of Germany and this is the best pizza I have ever had anywhere ! They do not have a menu in English so ordering was a bit of a challenge but the server did speak English so that was extremely helpful. Wish this was closer to home in America so I could enjoy this delicious pizza again! Was a bit worried the crowd would a college crowd die the proximity to the University however this does not appear to be a student hang out at all, perfect fir a romantic dinner or family. Highly recommend!!!"

"Wenn man allgemein unsere Bewertungen liest, sieht man, dass wir wirkliche Kaffeefans sind. Hier haben wir anhand verschiedener Portale nach gutem Kaffee in Freiburg gesucht. Dieses Café war sehr schön. Es waren sehr viele junge Leute dort und man konnte so auf/an dem Fenster draußen sitzen. Das hatte irgendwie Style.Der Kaffeegeschmack selber war aber leider nur in Ordnung. Man konnte ihn trinken. Er war nicht bitter und nicht sauer, hatte aber trotzdem keinen außergewöhnlich leckeren Geschmack. Ich würde nicht unbedingt noch einmal hingehen, wenn ich einen guten Cappuccino möchte, wobei es trotzdem schön war! :)Das Croissant war jedenfalls sehr gut!! :)"

"During a family visit in the area, we came across this little restaurant, very much hidden away from the town centre, in the forest above Güntherstal. It is indeed a secret spot as you would never find it, if you didn't know about it! I went there with 8 people yesterday and I was so impressed with this place! The outside area is beautiful and the surrounding is super quiet and fabulous for anyone who likes being out in the nature. The service was superb. They are not trying to save money with waiting staff as there were three waiters responsible for the outside area. They were very friendly and efficient. Within a maximum of 5 minutes we all were served our drinks and the food also came out quickly - after 10 minutes of ordering we had our starters and shortly after that our mains. There is a wide variety of choice on the menu - if you can't find something you like, you must be exceptionally picky! Even the vegetarian options are excellent ( I am not sure on the vegan options though). I had ordered the Penne Medico, which were delicious. Also the Pasta alla Chef, which another family member ordered was amazing. Three people had ordered the Schnitzel- big portions and excellent quality. The bill for 8 people (two of it being children) came to around 140 Euros, which is a good price, especially for the excellent quality of food and service! I def want to return to this lovely restaurant in the winter to experience it from the inside! I would highly recommend this to anyone."

"Auf der Suche nach einer Frühstücksmöglichkeit in Freiburg abseits des Brunch- und Breakfasteinheitsangebotes sind wir dank der hier stehenden Bewertungen an einem Sonntag im Lollo gelandet. Wir waren quasi die ersten Gäste (hatten gerade erst aufgemacht) und hatten somit Glück, einen der wenigen nicht reservierten Plätze zu erwischen. Nach und nach kamen dann etliche andere Gäste. Familien mit kleinen Kindern, Studenten/Innen, Paare, ältere Herrschaften...komplett gemischt. Das gut gelaunte und sehr aufmerksame Personal hatte die Lage im Griff. Dann bekamen wir die kleine aber feine Karte und hier merkt man schnell, dass sich das Lollo dem Besonderen verschrieben hat. Man bekommt auch das klassische deutsche Frühstück und das sah am Nachbartisch auch gut aus. Wir entschieden uns für Porridge und den Bagle mit Ei und Speck...hmmm...LECKER! Auch der Schwarzwild-Kaffee war sehr schmackhaft. An den Nachbartischen wurden derweil andere Köstlichkeiten serviert...die Pancakes zauberten dem kleine Mädchen nebenan ein Leuchten in die Augen. Die sahen als Türmchen aufgestapelt und mit Sirup begossen und Speck drappiert extrem lecker aus! Auch andere Speisen, die unseren Tisch passierten sahen sehr appetitlich aus und wurden mit Genuss von den Gästen verspeist. Gerne hätten wir noch mehr bestellt, leider waren wir satt. :-) So stelle ich mir einen perfekten Start in den Tag vor. Liebes Lollo-Team...weiter so!"

"Fair prices, big portions and good soups. I prefer this place for a take away and it's also okay to sit inside but the outside bit is on a busy sidewalk and it feels a bit hectic there. Rather take the food and eat it around the University, thats really close and in a nice area. The food has a great quality and it's delicious. But if you want to have it more relaxed and cosy I'd recommend their other restaurant Chada Thai in Herdern which I think is the best one in Freiburg Updated from previous review on 2021-11-11"

Also the garlic sauce is sufficient and the baker still knows how to make Yufkafladen. Much better: Spontan forms a customer snake from the extent of the named current, fortunately ubiers are far ahead. So we can see the new facility at times. Large massive wooden tables with stools where bistrotic cubes have been announced. The walls with sound-insulating pseudoclinkers instead of the semi-blind mirror. "So we finally decided to try new cuisine in Freiburg. This Morrocon Resturant is located in the city near the train station. The outside seating in the court yard surrounded by buildings is the best when the weather is good. We ordered the mixed appetizer which was so good with many different varieties such hummus, falafel and fried eggplant. The tagein is a Morrocon meal cooked in clay pots was so good. We ended our meal with refreshing black mint tea. I will recommend this place and I will sure come back."

"Erst einmal das positive:DAs Essen (vor allem die Schnitzel) sind wirklich gut. Auch die Desserts sind gutSehr negativ aufgefallen ist uns aber der Service und allgemein wie man dort isst. Ein paar Beispiele:-Zunächst dass, was uns am schlechtesten im Gedanken blieb: Die Gerichte werdne nicht für jeden Teller angerichtet, wie man es aus jeder normalen Wirtschaft kennt. Es wird einem zunächst ein Salatteller hingestellt, auf dem nichts ist. Danach kommt dann eine große Schüssel auf den Tisch, aus der sich jeder Gast selbst erst mal sein Essen richten muss. Genau so ist es auch mit den Schnitzeln. Wir hatten Schnitzel mit KArtoffelsalat bestellt. Es kamen wieder für jeden von uns ein leerer Teller. einige Minuten später kamen dann 2 Schüsseln mit Kartoffelsalat und eine Platte, auf der die ganzne Schnitzel gehäuft wurden. So musste sich wieder jeder erst seinen Teller selbst zubereiten. -Die Bedienungen sind unfreundlich und bleiben keine 2 Minuten am Tisch stehen um zu warten, bis man bestellt hat-Dass Essen ist relativ teuer, dafür, dass es nichts besonderes ist-Es gibt keine Speißekarte. Wenn man kommt, nach dem wir uns gesetzt haben, kam direkt eine Bedienung und hat schnell hintereinander 10 Gerichte aufgesagt, die es gibt. Erstens hat sie das viel zu schnell gemahct, so dass man nur die Hälfte verstanden hat, außerdem hat sie einem keine Zeit gelassen, zu überlegen, was man essen möchte-PReis ist relativ hoch, PReis-Leistungsverhältnis stimmt keinesfalls.Auf Grund der vielen negativen Punkte, kann ich leider trotz des eigentlich ganz guten Essen dass Restaurant nicht empfehlen.In einem Restaurant erwarte ich, dass ich einen schönen, fertig zubereiteten Teller bekomme, und keinen leeren."

"Schlappen has a wonderful local feel. Monday night, yet still full of people- seems like mix of locals and students.Waitress spoke English, & English menu available. When previous reviews said big serves, they meant big serves. We tried the Turkey & the Lamb, with the mixed salad. It was all huge. Lamb was fantastic and the creamy dipping sauce which I think had prairies was stunning. Turkey was lovely, but as with most Breast meat it could be a little dry.Fried potato discs were great, although too much. Beer was nice but if you are a whisky drinker the whisky menu is very extensive.Doesn't take credit card, but easily broke a €100.Toilets are interesting.... must see"
