"Wir waren für eine Nacht in diesem Hotel. Sind total begeistert. Das Zimmer war sauber und recht grosszügig! Wir haben einfach super geschlaffen! Essen war exellent. Wirklich mega fein von der Vorspeise bis zum dessert. Frühstück reichhaltig und grosse Auswahl... Nicht zu vergessen das Personal! Von der Rezeption bus Restaurant und Putzmanschaf, alle sehr freuntlich und zuvorkomment. Für uns absolut ein gelungener aufenhalt! Merci viel mals, wir kommen sicher wieder!"

"We were in this restaurant for the first time today. We will definitely visit it more often. The food was perfect. Filet and entrecôte on point, as ordered. The vegetables, salad and potato gratin were also very good and freshly prepared. The sauces in a separate bowl, not directly on the meat. That's how it has to be. The fleur de sel also went well with the meat. Service attentive and friendly, even though it was busy. Compliments to the whole team. So, we were back at the OX several times. Tomorrow for the (O)Xth time. With my princess and two of my sons. We are looking forward to the perfect food and the attentive service. By the way, the potato gratin is an absolute burner. "Our group of 7 were visiting Interlaken and we decided to go for an Indian meal. We found Spice India and were very impressed. The service was fantastic, we had the restaurant to ourselves as it was a quite period. The food was very flavorsome and tasty, just like home. We had a number of dishes, all had their own unique flavors not like some restaurants where the curry base is the same. I would visit again and we had a great time."

"I took my friend for his jubilee. I reserved and they expected us with rose petals on the table. at the end we got a nice teller with a candle. the restaurant breathes and eating was also good. only the service. was disturbing. we had bad luck with the waiter. he looked up constantly and when he brought the cake, he looked at himself punished and he strangled the teller to stroke a "happy birthday. to be honest that I was there because the food and place, but I realized how frustrating is to have a service so low when considering that the reviews were so good. I recommend it, but I wish so much that the administration choose to seek a bit the setting of the personal. I'm sure the guy has his reasons, but we're pretty friendly people, so it's not fair to act like that and not make the difference. I also had a pointed hexe was considered by my friend as outrageous."

"Great food and the amount is also great. The staff is very friendly and the service is good. The location is super convenient, right next to Interlaken West trainstation. We did not have to wait a long time for our food. They were very fast. We ordered four meals and all of them were super delicious. The price per person is between 20-30 Swiss francs which is a very reasonable price for what ypu get. I can definitely recommend Kashmir, they also do takeaway."

"The food, the service, the overall dining experience was amazing. My husband and I were so happy after having our tummies filled delicious food after a day walking around Interlaken and Grindelwald. Do try the mixed grill, absolutely recommended. Best part, we even received a special dessert called the cold rice pudding on the house and we gobbled it up in seconds! "The restaurant is great, the food is delicious and the service is great, but there is a waiter named Ahmed of Egypt nationality who treats us very badly. When we entered the restaurant, we were greeted by an Asian waiter and asked us to enter inside the restaurant because it was raining outside, but the waiter Ahmed told us that it’s fully booked and let us to sit in the front of the door I got upset then waiter from Swiss nationality welcome us and serviced very good so if you want to enjoy your meal just don’t let Ahmed service you."

"Wir waren am Nationalfeiertag im Goldenen Anker. Aufgrund der super Bewertungen haben wir uns dazu entschieden.Leider wurden unsere Erwartungen nicht erfüllt! Zuerst das Positive: Das Essen ist wirklich gut und schön angerichtet. Zu den Negativpunkten:-Service eine Katastrophe, die weiblichen Servierdamen hatten wirklich keinen Plan von dem was Sie da machen. Ein Chaos. Kommen selbst aus dem Gastgewerbe, aber so einen schlechten Service haben wir selten erlebt. Der Einzige der super war, war der Servierboy, sehr aufmerksam und nettes Auftreten. -Vorspeisen kam ein Teil nach 10 Minuten und der Rest erst nach 20 Minuten. Hauptgang ging eine geschlagene Stunde. Obwohl das Restaurant maximal zu 3/4 besetzt war. -Atmosphäre ist wirklich schlecht in diesem Restaurant. Man weiss irgendwie nicht wirklich ob man in einem Englischen Pub oder Restaurant ist, da die Bar direkt angrenzt und die ganze Zeit lief Fussball auf Grossleinwand, obwohl kein Mensch Fussball schaute.Fazit: wir würden nicht mehr kommen, es gibt definitiv bessere Gastrobetriebe, obwohl das Essen wirklich gut war, das will ich nochmals erwähnen."

"First of all, I have never given a meal back in my entire life, somehow I was always able to bring myself to eat what was served... but what I experienced here and how the manager of the house treated me as a guest, subterranean and not worthy of any restaurant, It would probably be time to stop catering for good! What happened? Quite simply, the four of us went out to eat and we all ordered something with a starter. Starter was ok and we wanted more... the main course came and my plate smelled so strongly of a kitchen cleaning rag that I couldn't possibly eat it. I asked my three companions to taste the plate and everyone assured me that they could taste the same terrible smell! I gathered all my courage and called the waitress and gave the plate back and asked for a new dish. Shortly afterwards the old boss came to our table and started insulting me, which is actually what I could think of. We tried to express our opinion objectively and calmly, unfortunately without success. The boss continued to gossip about me... and refused me another dinner, saying the kitchen was closed for me! I have never experienced anything so disrespectful and we will definitely never eat in this restaurant again! something like that shouldn't be supported..."

"My sister and i had dinner here on Tuesday 11 December. She is coeliac and has to have gluten free. The staff were very friendly and understanding. Contrast this to where we ate the night before. I also react to some foods. They accommodated my...request for no capsicum etc. Our meals were delicious and arrived promptly. Neither of us reacted to any foods we ate. The glasses of water we were brought were fresh and no charge. Sure the table had a table mat but it was a clean and pleasant and friendly cafe restaurant."

"Never in my LIFE have I had a worse service and that is coming from someone who is very well travelled. This restaurant puts a shame on Swiss hospitality or hospitality in general. We were treated like animals. Although my wife put a review on...this place, I feel it is required to express my review of this place so that the owners and staff know how pathetic their service was (not to mention the below average food). I’d suggest the team at this restaurant to go to a school to learn hospitality. Never treat your customers as if they are fools and don’t give them excuses that heating the chocolate in the fondue will make the chocolate burn—after all we have all had melted hot chocolate to drink. Don’t scoff at your customer when you are told that this is the first time you have had chocolate fondue that is cold. The waiter took the chocolate back and it came back slightly warmer (which hurt his ego), but the disgust in his face diluted the sweetness of our dessert. Also, please train your waiters to not wait by the table with the bill when we are still finishing our meal. It looks like they are begging for money. We just asked for one more minute and he didn’t like it. We wait to pay our bill and ask for the other waitress if we can pay, her response is “you made him wait, now you wait”. My wife and I saw there were many bad reviews of this place and we were not surprised. To the owners: get your act together—this was a terrible experience and word does spread. One bad experience can mean you lose hundreds of potential customers. And please tell your waiters that they should lose their ego—if you are 40+ and still a waiter it really says a lot about you. If they lose their attitude and start being kinder, they may get a more lucrative job and truly find out that chocolate fondue is meant to be warm. To all other visitors of Interlaken: until this restaurant doesn’t get its act together, I’d recommend the McDonalds down the road. You know what to expect, you don’t have many people to deal with, and you’ll end up content with your meal—Something you won’t feel when you leave this restaurant."

"We always fancy a meal at McDonald's when we're abroad, especially when food is so expensive in Switzerland. We came to this Interlaken West branch for a quick bite as it's just opposite to our hotel. We ordered 2 Filet-O-Fish meals a Big Mac. The fishes were tasty, crispy not over cooked. The Big Mac tasted beefy too. The obvious difference to those McDonald's in the UK were the breads they used, as the Swiss' McDonald's were more soft bouncy. We went to the counter to order due to we wanted to pay cash. But the manager told us off just pointed her finger to the self order machine even we didn't know how to pay cash on a machine. It was a bit rude but I think it's just the language barrier. What I also didn't like was the size of package of ketchup, they were so tiny so we had to purchase about 7 bags at the end. Afterall, we were on a holiday so we were in a good mood even when the service was bad."

"Ich war wegen einiger Bewertungen unsicher, in dieses Restaurant zu gehen. Allerdings gab es um die Uhrzeit (ca. 14 Uhr) in vielen anderen Restaurants in Interlaken keine warme Mahlzeit mehr, so dass gar nicht viel Auswahl blieb. "Horrendous Customer Service Experience Do Not Visit My partner is celiac and we disclosed to the waitress Anna 3 times about the gluten issue and she let us order a dish with gluten in. We also requested rice which is gluten free but did not receive this. Then had the chef tell us we still had to pay for a dish and would not get another dish free of charge. The waitress was then rude to us repeatedly calling my partner a liar when other tables saw and shook their heads in disapproval. They eventually took the dish off the bill but quite frankly spoiled our whole experience on our first night in a beautiful town. Venture elsewhere for dinner, it is the most beautiful town but this is not the most beautiful restaurant."

"Minestrone was best that I ever had didn 't have any of the crappy little tube pasta you usually seeing the US no pasta at all. I had the pasta with shrimp. Could have used more shrimp but the sauce tasted of shrimp and...that was great. DW had the gnocchi and she really liked them (I would have preferred if they were a little firmer). Only quibble verging on a complaint and hence the 4 not 5 stars was the wine special which was good but over priced and the first menu we were given had a different wine as the special and that 's what I thought I was ordering. Next time I would definitely get the minestrone and order a wine off the wine list not the special . In the US, I always bring my own wine from my cellar but not sure that is legal here."
