"I visited this restaurant with my wife on 17/10/19 and this was our second visit. Eventually we were heading to the Royal Albert Hall for a concert but decided to use this restaurant as we had found it very nice on a prior visit. The restaurant is just around the corner from Notting Hill Gate underground station. Very convenient. Firstly, the staff are very attentive and polite without being obtrusive. Several waiters served us during this visit and all were excellent. We both chose the king prawns with garlic sauce as starters. The prawns were very impressive and tasty. I chose a sirloin steak for my main course, served with thin fries and a side salad plus peppercorn sauce. They cooked it absolutely perfect. A very lovely meal and a quite large piece of steak. My wife chose a chargrilled chicken salad which she really enjoyed and found very filling. Finally we both finished with an ice cream mine topped with an expresso coffee. Very nice indeed. To complement the meal my wife chose a glass of rose pinot Grigio and I had a carafe of a very fruity Sauvignon Blanc Wairu) The restaurant has a very nice ambience and during the early evening candles were put on each table. A very nice romantic touch. Whilst we were there the restaurant was reasonably busy but not noisy which we liked. All in all another superb return visit to this restaurant which we thoroughly enjoyed. Thank you to all the staff including those in the kitchen who made the evening so wonderful."

"After seeing cinderella in the cinema last week, I was still much in fairytale princess mode, so I was quite excited when I saw that the chinoiserie in jumeirah carlton tower made a Cinderella theme afternoon tea, especially created by executive head pastry stephan chef will. there was a soothing music that was played by the lively harp, I love places that have live classical music. our afternoon was served as shown on their website, it looked so beautiful that we broke the first minutes with our cameras. the top animal had the hearty sandwiches I liked, the Scottish bark, water circles and creamy meerrettich sandwich, but was not quite a fan of the Quail egg tea that was a little dry. the second animal had a quite series of sweet desserts shaped into various miniature objects in conjunction with cinderella marshmallow car, yuzu tart uhren, white chocolate shoes, and white chocolate brownie and popping sweets magic sticks. and the last animal was a few buttery clear and fruit-sweet, served with jam and dipped cream on the side. the afternoon was beautifully presented, although the sweet perhaps was a bit too much for me to end. Unfortunately, I am not so big a fan of white chocolate, but if they are then they would probably enjoy it. service was very pleasant and efficient overall, and we had a nice relaxing afternoon. click on my blog link for complete submission with photos x"

"Starts with lukewarm, dry wry put upon smile for the job at reception with a girl who kept ducking down behind the desk to east food and cough respectable lol the men all huddle round the centre console, getting their attention takes a while; more attentiveness to diners would be appreciated!: Food: nice soft creamy paneer, medium spice butter chicken, not so flavourful, mild ish spice, needed all the extra sauce to make up for it, there was loadsa sauce, plus points for both dishes. Naan bread 1 x butter naan ofc, v buttery. Plain Naan, burnt hard crispy Nice ish virgin mojito colada : low lighting internally, bit too dark for me, but nonetheless, fine. toilets spick n span, fully stocked with clean wrapped bound toilet rolls, no spillages on the floor anywhere, sink: greasy/oily cream, in nice big glass brown coloured bottles: and good liquid hand soap in the other bottle: I saw a table next to us was given a free lil lemon looking sorbet with chocolate 'Happy Birthday ' written on the plate; they were happy the bday girl looked happily surprised. wish they had that indian, after dinner, multi colured mouth refreshment seeds etc to take as u leave the restaurant. wont be returning: we walked here as the Dishoom was an hour+ wait! Great restaurant! they have the extra personal touch of so many things, which Zaika crucially miss! only one wait smiled really, lovely smile from the lady who was a waiter, from all the staff that was noticeable, just 20/30s aged waitress and a coupla older men who seemed to run the service there. 3.8/5 :D <3"
