Had an afternoon tea here with a close friend in November, to celebrate our birthdays.It was absolutely lovely, nicely presented and a good assortment of food. Service was excellent. A lovely way to spend the afternoon. Rosemary Dolman.

My husband and I had a wonderful tea experience here this afternoon. Martina and a gentleman from Maldova were very attentive and took good care of us. Nice selection of sweets and teas. It is a lovely hotel and the tea room is cozy and relaxing.

Sandwiches were nice, very small, but tasty and we were offered more. The cakes were very good. Care taken to ask if any special requirements. About 4 glasses of Prosecco each. Our party had booked with a discount, which made it good value, but actual price is a bit steep. View menu

I suggest investing your money elsewhere instead of dining at this restaurant. For a better experience, check out nearby Harrods, where you can also enjoy a traditional British high tea. The lack of atmosphere, subpar service, and minimal food offerings do not justify the $150 per couple that you will end up spending here.

We wanted to experience an English Afternoon Tea, and were pleasantly treated to a wonderful interlude to the London rain. The staff were impeccable in their service, especially Martin, who was attentive, polite, and most accommodating. The food was excellent, and the highlight, the cakes were marvellous. I must say the scones were delicious and I felt that I could continue eating a few more! Highly recommended!

We had a wonderful experience at The Capital's Afternoon Tea! We enjoyed five finger sandwiches, followed by three tasty pastries and ending with two scones. Although there were fewer sweets than we anticipated, the friendly staff made sure we were well taken care of. They asked if we wanted more of anything, and promptly brought us more tea and five additional sandwiches. The room was gorgeous and we left with smiles on our faces! View menu

We thoroughly enjoyed the treat of afternoon English tea at Brown 's Hotel. The setting was lovely and toasty for us as we were in front of the fireplace. The food was scrumptious and very beautifully presented. Yanka was the person who attended to us and she was wonderful. She offered as much as we wanted and even had us try an additional tea. The atmosphere was elegant but not 'stuffy ' very comfortable. We opted to have champagne with our tea and treats yum! We were quite sated by the last morsel! Expensive but sometimes it is worth it to splurge!

I had a wonderful afternoon tea experience at this restaurant. The delicate sandwiches had a great variety, the scones were light and came in both plain and sultana flavors, and the patisserie cakes were beautiful. We opted for the additional option of coronation chicken sandwiches, which were very tasty. The selection of tea and optional fizz was a great addition, and we thoroughly enjoyed it. The service was perfect and the staff were friendly. The restaurant is conveniently located close to Harrods, but offers a more exclusive and personalized service. I highly recommend this place.

In 2016 the tea was splendid. This time it wasn’t. Both the gluten free and regular tea offerings were poor. My gluten free bread was dry and the few pastries were unimaginative. A bowl of berries, two pastries and three tiny scones, with a small pot of jam and clotted cream on a cake stand.The regular tea also had minimal choices. My expectations were high based on my previous visit. That time, the cake stand was full of delicious pastries and the service was superb. I mentioned this to our waiter when he asked if my visits were comparable. Our waiter was friendly, but didn’t offer to replenish our tea, forgot my wine and disappeared for at least 30 minutes towards the end. It was very disa... View menu
