"The pre-theater set menu at this restaurant was very good, but unfortunately, our friend arrived at 6:32 and was told it was no longer available. Instead, he had to order a la carte, which resulted in him only getting a soup before going elsewhere for a sandwich. It would have been more profitable for the restaurant to offer the set menu. This was not a good customer experience and hopefully they will improve in the future."

"In 2016 the tea was splendid. This time it wasn’t. Both the gluten free and regular tea offerings were poor. My gluten free bread was dry and the few pastries were unimaginative. A bowl of berries, two pastries and three tiny scones, with a small pot of jam and clotted cream on a cake stand. The regular tea also had minimal choices. My expectations were high based on my previous visit. That time, the cake stand was full of delicious pastries and the service was superb. I mentioned this to our waiter when he asked if my visits were comparable. Our waiter was friendly, but didn’t offer to replenish our tea, forgot my wine and disappeared for at least 30 minutes towards the end. It was very disappointing, especially for a 5 star hotel. I do not recommend afternoon tea here and will not return."

"For fish lovers, cured or fresh, an ideal choice. The must have starter is a platter of cured salmon in a variety of ways, large enough for two share. The turbot which followed was cooked to perfection. For carnivores some interesting dishes and to finish a voice of English favourites. The wine selection is British and ours was very good and inexpensive. The menu is not long but there is sufficient selection to go back and not repeat your choices. It was a relatively quiet evening but the staff were attentive and caring. We were a party of four and all of us enjoyed the evening."

"we arrived two hours after opening in the restaurant and we assumed that it was closed because all entrances were closed or locked. we were then greeted after we tried to open the door and said they were open. we have long waited to get our drinks, as no personal was visible in the restaurant. When the food arrived, it was cold. we kindly made the personal aware that our eating was cold after we tried to get their attention when they stood chatting. our food was brought back to the kitchen. waiting after 35 minutes, the staff explained that they forget about eating in the kitchen and that is now cold again. with only one apologies we will not return to this restaurant."

"You could be fooled into thinking the food service is great as it looks busy from the outside. It was very expensive for what it was. Difficult to get a pizza wrong but the crusts were really difficult to cut through even with a sharp knife. Penne pasta dish was tiny and left our soon very hungry. Deserts tasted like they were bought in a supermarket. To make things worse my father left his 80th birthday card unopened on a chair. He realised and went back with 3 MINUTES. I had been opened by the staff there was no money in it ! and then ripped up and thrown in the bin. He was really upset and no apology. Much better Italians in town at the other end."

"This is a very new place so I’ve cut them some slack when it comes to certain issues with the service. I’m sure minor problems will be ironed out over time. The service we received was super attentive, polite and friendly, and they did really nice things like bring us syrups to try and a free cocktail. But the basics need to be perfected first before such extras can be appreciated, such as having someone available to greet and seat us upon arrival (the hostess was also waitressing, and for a little while seemed to be the only person there, so was rushed off her feet), and not being too OTT with constantly us pouring tap water (random thing to nitpick about but it did start to get annoying), and having staff visible to respond to us instead of us needing to call out loudly for them. The place is small, cosy and intimate which is why everyone there except my friends and I seemed to be on a date it’s a great date place! The food is lovely but a bit too expensive for what you get: you can get a meal at Roka for a similar cost and that would be so much more worthwhile. The food at D&D is good quality and beautifully prepared but not in the same league as those kind of restaurants, so it’s a bit too pricey for what you get. But then, we came starving and tried to have a full meal. Also, the vegetarian options were limited and were all mushroom dishes beyond the nibbles sections. Now that’s just laziness! Come for small bites when you’re not very hungry, drink creative and delicious cocktails, for a cosy time with your other half and this is a great place."

"Disappointing. We've eaten at Bumpkin (Westfield Stratford) previously. It's one of the few places there at which there is a pleasant atmosphere, a comfortable environment, and where the background noise is low enough to allow conversation at normal speech level. The food is unexceptional, but usually good. We were not in any hurry, but on this occasion the service was very slow and, if I thought it likely to be as poor as it was, I would be disinclined to return. I also thought that the cost of our meal was high in relation to the quality."

"Food choices as expected. Interior like a low key American diner. Food costs as expected. Beer prices off the scale. A larger at the equivalent of £11 a pint. Please wake up and smell the coffee that is ridiculously expensive. We won 't be returning."

"A great restaurant serving burgers, ribs etc. We visited with two adults and three kids ranging from 4 to 12 years old. All kids enjoyed the food. The kids menu portion size was perhaps a little too large for our youngest, but was perfect for the older two. The adults had burgers, chips, a side of ribs, all very good. A good selection of drinks. Location was ideal, in the town centre and a short walk from the car park across the river. Staff were friendly and helpful, they even sang happy birthday to our youngest and gave him a brownie with a candle. Value was good, we got a discounts for having visited Legoland that day. We visited on a Sunday evening in the school summer holidays. We'd booked, but it was pretty quiet anyway so could have walked in. I would recommend this restaurant."

"Lovely staff, we were well looked after. Amazing food, Tigelle were amazing, the meat platter as well which included a superb Parma Ham, felino salami and mortadella. We were really impressed of the atmosphere, we asked for a specific table and they provided us one. I really recommend and I look forward to coming again."

"I wish I could write a 0 star review the most ignorant customer service I have ever dealt with. Uber driver stole my pizza ok but the man I rang in the restaurant was beyond unhelpful he was so rude and so aggressive he didn’t care I never received my order because he was closing. I will never order from this restaurant again absolute ignorant customer service and I work in customer service myself so I know good customer service. Sort your staff out it’s a disgrace!!"

"I visited for dinner on December 23rd. The atmosphere of the restaurant was nice and very quiet, which I appreciated, likely due to the limited staff. I ordered the grilled pasta and garlic bread, while my partner had a burger, which he really enjoyed. The pasta was delicious, but it was served lukewarm. The garlic bread consisted of two small pieces of French baguette for £6, and it was cold. The only reason we didn't complain was because of the friendly service from the lovely red-haired staff member."

"I want to love it, I really do, but, okay, let's get it back a little. my Italian bestie has moved sarf, yep, she left the perfectly good and accessible bethnal green to move over the river. to be fair, with a new born baby, I can't be mad at her and have visited the area for the second time, I dig the chilled village feeling of the opposite. it's great for a new mama and even quite attractive for someone looking for a new location to definitely move back to Mediterranean it's a native, friendly italians who talk to her as if she was an old friend. the food should be traditional Italian and very good. we started with aperol splash, the first time I ever had it. "We have dined at La Piazetta in Midhurst on several occasions, experiencing varying levels of satisfaction. After our most recent visit, I fear we may not return. We all selected items from the menu, but none of us were pleased with our meals. The appetizers were the only highlight, consisting mainly of prawns with Marie Rose sauce and melons wrapped in prosciutto. My main course, the veal escalope, was dry and tough, similar to what another member of our party ordered. The other main dish featured a heavy fish that was covered in an oddly sweet sauce, which did not work well at all. The desserts were nearly enjoyable, but the portions were excessive, especially the tiramisu. The chocolate cake was decent but nothing memorable. I think this will be our last visit."

"Foods gone royally down thy hill. Came for pizza a year ago and we loved it, great everyday pizza. Atmosphere was good and a few decent beers on tap. This all remained the same besides the food they no longer serve pizza but have pizza signs plastered on the walls. We ordered garlic bread, it turned up as garlic bread stick, and they were bogin. The fries, also bogin. A real shame. Coming for drinks and bar games is a big yes, for food a big oldddd nope. I wasn 't going to mention the toilets but... Holy moly, my friend asked where they were and I said use your nose . He found them alright. Shocking, infact, disgusting. The 2 stars is for the service and atmosphere alone very good."
