So this evening. My wife and I sometimes visit the restaurant up to 3x in the week, the reason is on hand, we do not live 5 minutes walk away, it is used exclusively fresh meat and fresh fish. The spaghetti did not boil, they still had light bites, the creamy tomato sauce had tidy piff. My mushrooms were filled with sheep cheese and goat cheese (changed). The Metaxasauce well tasted, beforehand there was a quite large supplemental salad, several head salad with carrot pancake and a simple yogurt dressing. Then there was the weekly dessert Panna Cotta for 2.50. You can't complain. Little time jump, last Saturday night, my wife and I felt very hungry, so we went over to Dimi. I had baked the spit with cheese (4.50), fresh herbs and fries. The spear was fabulously tender and juicy, the meat and the pommes very well seasoned. My wife had fresh Calamari with wild rice (5,50), the Calamari are always excellent, slightly grounded, buttery, so that I rounded up on 4 stars overall while eating. "AMBIENTE:Das "Drei Eichen" weist ein schlichtes, aber gepflegtes Ambiente auf. Man fühlt sich dort "in der Kneipe um die Ecke" durchaus wohl: klein, aber fein. Direkt nebenan ist noch eine abgelebte Raucherkneipe, die wohl (irgendwie) dazu gehört - muss man wenigstens nicht frieren. SPEISEN UND GETRÄNKE:Die Speisekarte weist alles auf, was man bei einem ordentlichen Griechen erwartet: die bekannten Vorspeisen und eine reichhaltige Auswahl an Fleischgerichten und Kombiplatten. Wir hatten Lendenspieß und einen gemischten Teller mit Steaks, Spieß und Hackfleischröllchen - dazu Pommes und Salat. Geschmacklich war es eine durchaus solide Leistung: das Fleisch war weder totgebraten, noch triefte es - wie man es sonst gerne beim Griechen kennt - vor Öl. Gerade mit Blick auf die Preise, die ich als angemessen betrachte (ca. 13,- EUR) ein Grund, das "Drei Eichen" nochmals zu besuchen.SERVICE :Dumm nur, dass man sich mit einer Underperformance im Service vieles zunichte machen kann... als wir eintraten, wurde uns von einem äußerst mürrischen Kellner ein kleiner 2er-Tisch neben der Theke angeboten, der gleich darauf wieder davonrannte - Kundenorientierung geht anders.Daher fragten wir die Kollegin hinter der Theke, ob wir denn auch einen der anderen freien Tische nehmen dürften, was positiv beschieden wurde. Diese Servicekraft muss an der Stelle ausdrücklich gelobt werden - auch im weiteren Verlauf: sehr freundlich und aufmerksam.Als unser erster Kellner jedoch kurze Zeit später wieder auftauchte, wurden wir mit bösen Blicken bestraft. Wie konnten wir denn auch unverschämterweise umziehen!? Die alte Tischdecke wurde schlicht vor unserer Nase heruntergerissen und die neue hingeknallt. Mittlerweile genervt von seiner Laune fragten wir freundlich, ob alles in Ordnung und was ihm denn über die Leber gelaufen sei. Darauf er mehrfach:"Ich nix verstehen!" Naja... so kann man ein Gespräch dann auch unterbinden. Gottlob (zumindest für ihn) fand er kurze Zeit darauf am Nachbartisch seine Sprachkenntnisse wieder - in der gleichen bescheidenen Laune. Leute... wenn Service nicht Euer Ding ist, macht doch was anderes! Leider zog sich das mit dem Service dann ein Stück weit so durch: am Nachbartisch saß eine Clique von 10 Leuten. Die bekamen dann unsere Teller mit aufgetragen, was nach guten 5min auffiel. Kurzum wurden die Teller zu uns gewechselt - jetzt nur noch lauwarm und auch an sich ein NoGo: keine Ahnung, ob da schon einer die Finger dran hatte. Der eine Pommesteller sah jedenfalls schon ein wenig geleert aus. Aber ehrlich: es war schon spät, wir hatten Hunger und echt keine Lust mehr auf Diskussion.GESAMTBILD:Fast volle Punktzahl in puncto Auswahl, Geschmack und Preis - dafür aber ein starker Leistungsabfall im Service. Sehr schade - da geht mehr!"

"Friday morning just before 8:00. I was shaking fresh on the living room couch, my cat Django realizes I'm not okay. And that's still fled. The restaurant China is a small corner house (Ecke Karlstraße / Domstiftstraße). You can park there on the side street. There are no direct parking spaces that belong to the restaurant, but what never bothers us, on the side streets there are usually enough parking, so also today.
