"We were looking forward to a special meal for our last night in the south of Sicily and booked a table at Fattoria delle Torri. To our surprise we were greeted by the owner in a cold manner. We still do not understand why. We...decided to take the fish based Degustazione menus and with the exception of the first dish made of a choice of raw fish and seafoods, the remainder were cold or tasteless. Curiously enough, there was a locally designed gazpacho soup with a piece of dry bread crowned by a tasteless minuscule segment of unslated herring bathing in a cold base of cellular liquid. Strangely, the same base used for the gazpacho soup was used for the next dish of fish tortellini which were served half cooked. The menus included a choice of 3 wines and the last one, the Malvasia, was not suitable for the occasion. The service was handled by apprentices and a plate was removed before the guest had finished so was a glass full of wine a little later. To conclude, the evening is not to be remembered."

"So, all the other restaurants were closing or heaving. My son found this place and when we walked up, it was empty and we dithered. Well, I'm glad we stuck with it as the food is honestly the best I've had in Sicily. Only two other families were in but the red wine was great, the pasta with bacon and mushrooms- outstanding. The pizzas- the best. It's a shame Sicilians weren't visiting as I've tried many dishes and this was the best. Try the potato crochettes."

"every location is beautiful in modica but maybe this is not the best. the personal is young, courteous and takes care of the customers. I even appreciate the music. the offer consists mainly of sandwiches and burgers, but filled with the best choice of local meat, cheese and other ingredients. fantastic approach, good for young people, but not only, show that fast eating is not necessarily waste food. light and spicy home made beer to give more value to the food. bill not expensive."

"Tornata dopo l'esperienza positiva dello scorso anno, sono stata piuttosto delusa. Nonostante fossero occupati solo due tavoli e avessi prenotato per le mi hanno dato il tavolo alle l'ultimo fuori dal tendone, praticamente sulla strada dove fino alle transitano auto adiacenti al tavolo. Sono tornata per i ravioli ricotta e pistacchi, ottimi anche se porzione scarsa. Grigliata di pesce fredda. Quando l'ho segnalato alla cameriera mi ha risposto che il piatto era rimasto in cucina perché quando l'hanno chiamata che era pronto non ha potuto andare, non commento. Anche il personale scadente rispetto allo scorso anno. Abbiamo chiesto il grana da mettere sui ravioli e non è mai arrivato. Non so se tornerò ancora a Modica ma sicuramente non in questo ristorante. Avrei dovuto tenermi il bel ricordo della scorsa estate. Peccato!"

"the place is very nice both outside and inside, where we were accommodated. the staff is kind and the service quite fast. all we ate was very good: “Radici” appetizer, fried pasta, baked onion and thyme rabbit. good desserts: fruit cut with apricot sorbet and hazelnut ice cream with coffee sorbet. the bread, hot, is great and is made to swallow with olive oil, tomato powder and oregano. we did not drink wine, but three bottles of water. what left us bitter in the mouth, however, was the account, which amounted to euro. in our opinion it is a little too much for eating on paper towels, in a context from “osteria”. The microfiltered water, then, should not (in our opinion) cost euro per bottle."

"Restaurant located on a side street on Corso Umberto I in Modica. Small but very well-kept place with the possibility of dining outside under the mini gazebo. The chef offers various traditional dishes from Ragusa with the addition of a touch of customisation. Our attention was focused on the second courses and specifically on the swordfish and pistachio sea bream accompanied by French fries and green and grape salad. The quality is truly top (as are the portions). All washed down with glasses of Ispica. To finish I tasted the almond sorbet (a delight). Congratulations, keep it up."

"Trovato per caso durante una gita a Modica, che dire davvero un’esperienza fantastica. Locale alla buona con tavoli all’esterno, cibo ottimo, di prima qualità, cartoccio di frittura di calamari e gamberi spettacolare, la pastella era qualcosa di eccezionale e da precisare che il fritto era molto leggero e non ha dato per niente problemi da un punto di vista digestivo, molto buono anche il panino con calamari fritti. Consigliatissimo!!!!"

"Nothing wrong but it didn't surprise me. The staff is truly noteworthy. The waitresses are very good and have a unique professionalism. The pizza is good but in my opinion there is better. The location is nice but lacks coherence. “Outside” is very pleasant. It's not bad inside but it looks like another place."

"Da Kaffa occorre andarci senza fretta perché è un luogo del tempo e dei sapori ritrovati. Giorgio e Carmela preparano con attenzione e meticolosità i piatti e le colazioni da servire ai clienti. Ho provato l'ottima granita di ricotta impreziosita dal latte di capra. Doverosamente accompagnata dalla brioche fatta col lievito madre dall'inconfondibile profumo... Alla sera imperdibili gli hamburger gourmet con panini homemade (vedi foto) € 20 circa a persona compreso patatine dolce amaro e la gentilezza smisurata dei proprietari..."

La figlia vi dà il benvenuto e la mamma vi consiglia cosa mangiare. persone dolci e gentilissime. ottimo l'antipasto tipico composto da prodotti fatti in casa e verdure. ravioli di ricotta e salsa di maiale con salsiccia buona. un po 'meno tagliatelle con frutti di mare. ma in realtà in un modica non si dovrebbe mangiare pesce. Tuttavia i tagliatelle sono stati fatti in casa e sentito tutto l'amore e la passione x la cucina come dolce abbiamo preso il bianco mangiare dolce tipico della zona sempre fatto dalla madre. grande e fresco direi. prezzi giusti.. Lo consiglio"

"un modica per un fine settimana, non potevo fermarmi alla taverna di sapori persi, dal momento che ero stato caldamente consigliato da un amico che era già stato lì. inutile dire che ero molto soddisfatto dei piatti e per la reception. la camera è arredata nello stile della taverna, con travi in legno, e molti oggetti antichi sulle pareti. la caratteristica tovaglia quadrata, con tavoli in legno e sedie completano l'atmosfera. il resto lo rende il menu, che in intenzioni e fatti mira a rivisitare l'antica cucina tipica della zona. grande oo di legumi, compresi fagioli e piselli, nel primo, e i tipici cavatelli conditi con broccoli e salsiccia, e poi il secondo, come la carne bollita accompagnata da patate, carote e verdure, la carne in salsa di pomodoro, le stufati. Come contorno ho assaggiato qualcosa che non ho mai sentito prima, una crema di fagioli, la brocca, che ricorda l'antica tradizione della povera cucina contadina. buon vino della casa per accompagnare i piatti, e naturalmente non mancano i dolci. Personalmente ho assaggiato il classico cannolo, ma anche i geli una miscela di granito e gelato, a quello che hanno detto i miei commensali erano eccellenti."

"Abbiamo trovato questo ristorante mentre facevamo un giretto a marina di modica. Ristorante con una buona scelta di piatti sia di mare che di carne, con una lunga lista di pizze anche. Noi abbiamo optato per una tartare di manzo (molto buona! e di primo abbiamo scelto i gnocchetti speck e pesto di pistacchio, che devo dire erano fantastici! Le verdure grigliate non pienamente soddisfacenti.. ma per il resto, conto e servizio ottimi."

"We have been here for dinner at the end of August, although many restaurant were busy until late, we decided to give a try to this place with only one review. The place is an hotel and reachable by stairs. There are tables inside in a very nice and literary ambience, but also they have few table in a small terrace on the top floor. The place is quite reserved and you can even enjoy a romantic atmosphere. The only thing and that there are few doors around the terrace where people use to sleep as this is also an hotel. Menu was not so long but they offer typical dishes and sometime a bit original. We had fried “sarde a beccafico”, good but I was expecting a bit more frankly. After that, we had two very good dishes of pasta “linguine con cicale and lemon” fresh and tasty and my girlfriend had “ravioli with squid ink” everything ok, good portion and good quality of products. In addition, we ordered two glasses of wine of Inzolia and Grillo, it was not possible to have two glasses of that wine (but only the entire bottle) but the waitress kindly allowed us to have two of those. Bill of around 50€, satisfied and suggested."

Propone sia taglieri di salumi e formaggi di alta qualità che pizza con ingredienti freschi e saporiti. Da provare anche le verdure e le insalate fantasiose. Il vino è un altro dei punti forti, mi sono lasciato consigliare dal proprietario e non me ne sono pentito. Ottime bottiglie dove poter gustare anche dei vini particolari con sapori diversi dal solito. Il proprietario è una persona accogliente e simpatica. Ci vorrebbero più locali di questo genere!!!"

"Finally someone who speaks English in the restaurant are very friendly and helpful. we travel around sicely and I can't say I ate well, especially because of bad English in italia. many paintings I asked if the steak beef is and I always got answer...SI, si, but I got pork (I don't like a pig). here at bella pizza napoli talk at least employees well English or at least send them a waiter who speaks another language, then Italian. the steak was thin as a persuto, but good. service is very good, nice clean restaurant, clean toilets. although it was not completely open, they welcomed and served us."

"The appetizer from the house and the chocolate desert with orange sauce were great! We did not like our pasta dishes and they were expensive (a pasta court was offered to us, which was not on the menu and later was charged with €25. Wine on the glass was also expensive: we were charged 10€ per 0.1 glass. The main thing was good .on a neighboring table we could see a great starter, so they really need to have good dishes, too."
