"A disappointing dinner in a pseudo- osteria that betrays the expectations of an authentic Italian culinary refuge and turns out, instead, to be a real gastronomic disaster. Starting from the name, osteria evokes an image of warmth and tradition, but what we found was an environment more suitable for unaware tourists than for true connoisseurs of local cuisine. The first courses, while passable, did nothing to redeem the overall experience. The real downfall in style was the mixed fry: an assortment of fish that seemed to have been caught more from the freezer than from the sea, resulting in inedible. The fries were also a disappointment, lacking the golden crunch you would expect. Incomprehensibly long waiting times. In summary, an experience not to be repeated."

"I had the opportunity to dine at Taverna 49 with some friends, and I want to share my experience based on current reviews. Food: We ordered 3 cuts of meat with cherry tomatoes and rocket, but unfortunately they were very tough and inedible. This was a big disadvantage. The red cow steak was good, considering the price. However, it did not achieve excellence. On the other hand, the tarallo pizza was a pleasant surprise: really very good. Service: The waiters were very friendly and the service was fast, even on a Saturday night. Accidents: Unfortunately, we found a rubber band inside the potatoes. However, the staff promptly replaced the potatoes and apologized for the inconvenience. In summary, Taverna 49 offers a mixed culinary experience, with some delicious dishes and others less successful. The serve was good, but the rubber band episode could be improved. If you decide to visit it, I recommend you try the “tarallo” pizza!"

"Siamo stati in questo stupendo posto dopo aver visitato gli scavi di Pompei con la mia famiglia. Il ristorante è molto particolare. Il personale è molto professionale e accogliente, c’è anche tanta sostanza dietro l’apparenza! Infatti penso di non aver mai mangiato un menu degustazione di terra più buono di quello mangiato oggi. La caprese di pomodoro e mozzarella è stata sublime, e, parlando di un piatto i cui ingredienti si contano sulle dita di una mano, vuol dire che c’è tanta esperienza di alto livello e qualità dei prodotti. La genovese, piatto notoriamente “forte”, era delicatissima ma altrettanto squisita. La carne tenerissima con una cottura di 6 ore a 45 gradi, si squagliava letteralmente in bocca. Non mi dilungo ulteriormente sulle altre portate eccezionali che ho gustato, ma vale sicuramente la pena provare questo ristorante."

"Ristorante: locale molto grande e spazioso, alcuni tavoli all 'aperto sulla strada. Servizio: non velocissimo però spiegano tutte le particolarità delle pietanze Menù: davvero bello grande, ci sono sia le classiche pizze napoletane che pizze 'gourmet ' ovvero con accostamenti particolari o ingredienti ricercati. Cibo: la montanara era spettacolare, aveva un impasto morbido e non pesante. il crocchè con il miele non mi ha fatto impazzire, non mi piaceva l 'accostamento dolce. La diavola con i filamenti di peperoncino era buona ma i filamenti non erano il massimo. Prezzo e Consigli finali: prezzo nella media. in generale un 'ottima esperienza. le pizze molto buone e saziavano. consiglio vivamente di prendere e testate tutte le montanare del menù"

"Old West style pub, nice even if decorated, with some gadgets on display galore, not always in a careful way. On the main street leading to the Sanctuary of Pompeii, a warm environment on two levels, efficient service with helpful and friendly staff. The menu is not very extensive, unlike the beers offered, but broad enough to satisfy everyone's tastes. Superlative sandwiches, even gluten-free, quality ingredients and well prepared. Prices normal. To return as soon as possible."

"Not a bad location, less than mediocre staff, waitress who looked like her cat had died, slammed the drinks on the table even if we had done her wrong, a smile not even to pay for it, waiter who wasn 't very helpful. Limited menu, pizzas available but not available at the time of ordering. Fried mix, mediocre, many pieces without salt, the only good thing, the chips, but that fried mix was certainly not worth the price we paid for it. As soon as the mixed food arrives, I see our pizzas come out (or at least the first three, of the same flavour), the waiter decides, then stops because he sees us starting to eat, he steps back, asks the person in charge what to do and the dear colleague, you thought well of bringing them back to where they came from quickly and then bringing them back reheated when they would have had to make them again because not everyone doesn 't understand anything but someone who does understand something can happen to you at the table. Value for money, we 're not there. Positive note: we didn 't feel bad. Parking: Parking practically always full, for a fee, not for the pizzeria. Endless files. Forced to walk a bit if you are not lucky to find parking nearby."

"The place is in a tourist hotspot near the entrance to the Pompeii archeological park. Although the service was fast and friendly and the interior of the restaurant looked clean and modern, the food was a real deal breaker. The salad looked and tasted like a pre-packaged supermarket product. Pizza Romana we ordered left a similar impression and what was supposed to be mozzarella had nothing in common with cheese (how is that even possible? . The pricing is moderate, but the fact that the food is inedible, makes the price-quality ratio really bad. At least the bottled beer was cold enough, so there is that."

"Ci siamo fermati in questo locale più per stanchezza fisica che per essere stati attratti. Fortunatamente c'era un tavolo libero. Siamo stati accolti con cortesia e subito fatti sedere. Il locale si trova sulla strada che dalla stazione ferroviaria porta alla basilica quindi molto centrale. Ha molti posti a sedere tra l'esterno e l'interno e mi è sembrato carino talmente stanca che non mi sono soffermata sull'arredo . Oltre alla pizza c'è anche ristorazione e avevano in vista un frigorifero con dei bei tagli di arrosti. Noi abbiamo preso due pizze e ci sono piaciute. Una classica capricciosa e una margherita a doppia cottura fritta e passata al forno , acqua e una piccola birra .il tutto 27,50 euro . Forse un po' alto ma si sa che in luoghi dove c'è molto turismo ,un po' ci marciano e quindi non ce ne siamo meravigliati.."

"CHIC! We had the opportunity to dine at Shaval on a Saturday evening, easily with a reservation. Large internal paid parking. The room inside is warm, rustic, wooden tables and soft lights which give a truly welcoming atmosphere. Very kind and professional waiters. Excellent and substantial pasta omelette for two people. Croccopizza 2.0 , the workhorse of the truly spectacular venue. Lightly fried croquettes and the creaminess of the stracciata give this pizza a unique taste. The only flaw was that in some places the pizzas were slightly raw in the dough, but the quality of the raw materials was very high. We concluded with an excellent cheesecake, generally a good assortment of desserts. Excellent value for money and strategic location a stone 's throw from the center of Pompeii. Highly recommended! Vegetarian options: Possibility to order vegetarian dishes Dietary restrictions: Possibility to order dishes based on different diets Parking: Internal paid parking and external paid and free parking. Parking: You can park your car for free and go visit Pompeii as long as you return back to dine in. "Abbiamo pranzato all'esterno perché tutto prenotato l'interno che però non ci è sembrato accogliente. Personale gentile, disponibile. Il maitre Pasquale quasi perfetto. Cibo di buona qualità e ben presentato, ottima l'entrecote e tutte le altre portate ordinate. Prezzi un po' su e in particolare i vini dalla carta, calice comune a 7€ ma abbiamo scelto una mezza bottiglia rosé. WC abbastanza accogliente, pulito e dotato di carta per le mani, non sempre disponibile in altri esercizi e quindi certamente una nota di merito. A pochi passi dalla Basilica e dagli Scavi. Noi lo consigliamo"

"Siamo stati a mangiare da Garum a Pompei... ed è stata fin da subito un'esperienza eccellente. Si nota fin da subito che l'attenzione per il cliente è la priorità. I camerieri sono dei modi e una professionalità ormai difficili da trovare in giro... super cordiali, attenti in ogni minimo dettaglio e anche con il tempo per scambiare due chiacchiere... veniamo accolti anche dal proprietario che ci offre subito un flute di prosecco e pochi istanti dopo anche un'entrée dal sapore incredibile. Il locale gestisce anche uno shop di vini online ed ha una ricca enoteca con prodotti di qualità come il rosé in foto che vi consiglio(campano). Sia i primi che i secondi erano incredibili esperienze sensoriali. Provare per credere! Rapporto qualità prezzo incredibile visto anche tutte le accortezze! Ritorneremo sicuramente quando saremo di passaggio da Pompei"

Ho riscontrato con piacere quanto segue: personale cortese e attento alle problematiche dei client, locale accogliente e pulito. Abbiamo ordinato 3 pizze ' 1 Margherita; 1 Capriciosa e 1 Violetta ' n. 3 fiori di zucca , 3 crocche , 1 birra e una bottiglia d 'acqua. La ns. valutazione sulle pizze e la frittura sono state positive. I prezzi rientrano nella media , compreso il servizio abbiamo pagato 54,00€. È stata una bella sorpresa, ci ritorneremo."

"My suggest is to avoid this restaurant not for the food, it was good, but because the staff was not very honest. I've taken 3 sandwiches, 2 portion of French fries ,1 bottle of sparkling water, 1 beer...final price 43 €...from my calculation I can understand the 29€ for the food...but the other 14 €? Obviously they don't have a menu for sandwiches...probably they roll the dice. Because I'm a whole person, I've paid my bill, though I was puzzled by their dishonesty. For this reason, the only way I have to hit them is by a bad review...so: please, avoid this restaurant, probably there are better restaurants in Pompei."

"I definitely wouldn't have gone if I had read the reviews beforehand. We just wanted a normal dinner. We ordered Spachetti with mussels, seafood risotto and prawn linguine. When they served us, the owner directly replaced the linguine with spaghetti without telling us. Only after asking repeatedly and with photos, the owner admitted to having changed the type of pasta without authorization. There was no verbal apology until final checkout. There wasn't even an invoice, as is tradition in small towns. Prices are not affordable compared to the city level. Unpleasant. Not recommended. "Very nice atmosphere, both for families and couples. (even if they mistook my dad for my partner). Extensive gluten-free menu. The chef is very attentive to customer feedback. The tortelli pasta is a little hard, but that's normal given that fortunately they aren't deglutinized or have strange additions. Excellent Tortelli filled with mozzarella and spinach, with tomato and basil. I highly recommend. "Not sure why this place gets a 2/5? I felt the service was attentive, and the food very nice- especially given that it was in such a touristy place where there aren't many choices or places to go. Wifey had the senza glutine pasta bolognese and I had the caprese pizza. Prosecco was good, beer was very good- especially after a long, hot (very interesting!! tour of Pompeii. I would eat here again if we come back for another tour. The other options definitely look more like street food if that's what you're looking for."
