Excellent pizza, light and tasty. The staff is very professional and pampers the customer with particular attention. I gladly return to try more as the menu ranges from first courses, meat and fish second courses, to delicious desserts. Maybe not on a Saturday night . Ok. The food was great, but I noticed that they took a long time to serve the food. They have convenient parking for Scavi di Pompei. The parking attendant told us that we would get one hour free if we ate there. But, that hour was the time we waited and ate the food there. So don’t fall for that. Food was ok after a visit to Pompeii. We visited the restaurant as they offer a parking “discount”. 2 pizzas 2 small bowls of chips €50 even though pizza was only €10 each , only water to drink. Maths didn’t add up , we asked €2 per person cover charge- for what ? We had to QR code our menu , no bread or water given (well tap water in a refundable jug at a cost). Not worth it ! Awful. Unexpectedly worst restaurant experience I have ever had. I never heard of a restaurant before that refused to change or replace a meal when a customer complained because it tasted bad. But that's the policy here! And then they made me pay for it, even though it went in the bin. Food zero/10, Customer service zero/10. They are right by the entrance to Pompei so they don't care. Beware, if you have a bad experience and leave them a bad review, they post abusive and insulting replies. Just read the many 1* reviews below!

Warm, almost magical environment with all the lights turned on in the evening. When it is summer the roof is full of greenery, while in winter the closed roof displays little lights that look like stars. You are always greeted with a smile by the very kind owners. The staff were polite and courteous.. The products are always first choice, I have been frequenting this place for some time now and I must say that I am more and more fascinated by it. We go as a couple with my husband, family and friends.. I highly recommend it! Parking: Spacious, never paid for parking, an open space always monitored. Kid-friendliness: Yes

CHIC! We had the opportunity to dine at Shaval on a Saturday evening, easily with a reservation. Large internal paid parking. The room inside is warm, rustic, wooden tables and soft lights which give a truly welcoming atmosphere. Very kind and professional waiters. Excellent and substantial pasta omelette for two people. Croccopizza 2.0 , the workhorse of the truly spectacular venue. Lightly fried croquettes and the creaminess of the stracciata give this pizza a unique taste. The only flaw was that in some places the pizzas were slightly raw in the dough, but the quality of the raw materials was very high.
