"Upon arrival, we found the restaurant to be empty, but soon realized that a wedding was being held in the back garden, which may have affected the service and food quality. Despite a decent selection of food and drinks, our experience did not live up to the positive reviews we had read. While some of the dishes we ordered were satisfactory, such as the sweetcorn ribs and children's burgers and chips, others like the cauliflower wings fell short of expectations. These wings lacked the promised crispy texture, coriander, and sesame seeds, appearing instead soggy, oily, and bland. Service was lacking, with plates left uncleared and a need to request desserts for the children. It seemed that the staff were preoccupied with the wedding, causing delays and inattentiveness. After we voiced our concerns, the waitress acknowledged the mistake with the cauliflower wings and adjusted the bill accordingly. Despite this gesture, we left feeling disappointed and expecting more from our dining experience."
