(Suggestion to chef : for kids 2 to 4 years put less “lemon” on vegetables otherwise very nice dish). Front panel of the restaurant near street ; please change it as it look cheap, hard to read and put 2 photos of your dishes as it will greatly improve the amount of customers who will take a table instead moving elsewhere, I think you will see at least +30% increase of customers). This restaurant have really good quality/price. Also excellent service by the young ladies who served us, they had a good balance of being open but not too much, knew when and what to say, very friendly and professional). Highly recommended, you won’t forget the experience."

"My reception as a solo diner was warm--and, luckily, English-speaking. During the evening, however, I was the only non-French person in the room--and the hostess greeted about half of them with kisses. Families, children. all very lively. My salad with lardons was more than generous, fresh and dressed lightly. The buckwheat crepe (the only thing to order) with spinach cream and smoked salmon was quite large and quite delicious--very good quality ingredients. Overall, a satisfying experience."

"Au départ nous voulions nous rendre au Bœuf noisette qui se trouve à quelques pas dans la même rue. Mais n 'ayant pas réservé, le serveur nous a surpris en proposant une table voisine d 'un concurrent. Nous y sommes donc allés. Petite structure, il n 'y avait qu 'un client à notre arrivée. Nous avons quand même posé notre baluchon sur la terrasse qui en fait correspond à la rue... assez calme. Nous y avons passé un très bon moment. Un service agréable, des mets de qualité pour un prix raisonnable. Bref, un petit restaurant qui, l 'air de rien, vaut le détour."

"Awesome restaurant, friendly helpful staff and excellent skilled chef owner (who we had the pleasure to meet with after our dinner . Cozy spot in the garden to dine at, food was delicious and creative. The wines recommended and served were amazing too (complementing all the dishes we ate so nicely . Short 5-10mins stroll from the centre of the town, highly recommend this hidden gem of a restaurant which we discovered by chance upon a recommendation by one of our hotel reception staff (who said it is her fav restaurant to eat at in Samur! . Please visit and enjoy as much as we did...thank you for an excellent meal!! Cheers"

"A nice address to Saumur.Located a few steps from the loire, behind the cavalry museum, the carrousel was beautifully transformed to devote itself only to the restoration activity. It's a success. The reception is pleasant and the attentive service. The Sunday formula is varied just what it takes with original suggestions such as the pig foot crėpinette. chocolate desserts deserve a special mention. the wine map is adapted and affordable. We do not regret this return to the carousel. Attention, however, that the capacity of the room does not lead to exceed that of the kitchen at the price of some imperfections that would be detrimental in the duration."

"We enjoyed our lunch at Café de la Poste. The service is friendly and social. The menu is really good as well as the food. We took tuna and a caesar salad plus delicious chocolate mousse but you also have the choice between other delicious dishes (see pictures menu can change in time) and the dish of the day. Parking is rather easy to find and free of charge between noon and 2:00 pm (but its best to check again). We will come back. The Belgians."

"Très bonne table, avec un très bon rapport qualité-prix. Le menu à 36 euros proposait un tartare de dorade au sorbet de tomates qui était à la fois joliment dressé et inventif en termes gustatifs. La cocotte de lotte qui a suivi offrait un mélange tout aussi original de textures et de saveurs, avec une présentation charmante et surprenante. Petit bémol sur le dessert, un peu trop cuit, mais la glace artisanale en accompagnement compensait ce petit accroc. Service sympathique sans prétention.Vrai petit menu enfant, avec les ingrédients des grands, à un prix doux.Merci pour ce bon moment."

"There was an eternity that I no longer ate a savoyard fondue and when I learned by digging on a trip that it was one of the great specialties of the Montagnole, I did not hesitate to book immediately. Well taken! Indeed, on the one hand, the restaurant is adorned (even by these cold times, three people wait patiently outside that a table is released) and on the other hand the fondue to the P.P. ceps that we had chosen was perfect at all points of view. note: you have to be two to order this greed. on the side of the vine, the premont we have tasted at the accompaniment is especially recommended, although the glass is wisely priced on the other hand, the cover plate costs what is excessive compared to the quantity proposed. It is also possible to regret the absence of some salad leaves, whose freshness would be welcome. other roborative dishes we saw scrolling were abundantly provided. as to service, it is fairly friendly and effective. we know: the restaurant is at the corner of the streets of Saint-Nicolas and the slopes, both pedestrians. So we have to prepare ourselves to walk a little!"

"The young servers are nice, the setting too but that stops there. The menu and the site do not agree on the price, once at the table we go from 22€ to 26€. Having had lunch in other cellars, the quality and unlimited service were there. Big eater, there is bread to make up for it but no more in proportions. Sorry to be abrupt but outside of the atypical setting we can't find the price on the plate. We will return to a safe and quantitative value."

"This has to be the closest restaurant to the Chateau Saumur the view from our table was Ike a postcard. The 7 of us arrived on a bustery Thursday at 12:30 in October and were one of the few large tables but can imagine it is also can be totally full on a sunny Sunday. Plan accordingly as most cafes close from 2 5pm daily. We dotted both prix fix and ala Carte. Highlights were the escargot en croute, a crispy chicken salad and the fish of the day. Best cream brûlée we had all trip and did I mention the view?"

"Stop not scheduled Saturday 14 October on a very long trip. Super surprise! phone or physical, already the reception of the person was really large (until we accompanied each of our two bedrooms.) they were very clean, very nicely decorated, very functional, quiet, and beautiful beds. A real rest! On the evening restaurant side, a staff at the top! We saw servers have all the attention possible for a child at the side table, impeccable service, a dish that passed very well! Breakfast was also a pleasant moment with once again, a very welcoming and helpful person (offered to wear the plates being in crutches.) we did not really look or enjoy the hotel facilities as arrivals around 8:30 pm and distributed in the morning, but frankly an excellent hotel!"
