"We stayed at the Maximilian's apartments and were very pleased with them. They are modern and clean. We were arriving by car and the directions to the parking garage were misspelled and since we were using GPS we had some difficulties. We ate dinner and breakfast here. Breakfast was excellent ( farmer frustuck & eggs Benedict) and our server extremely pleasant. Dinner was another matter. The server we had seemed totally disinterested in serving people who did not speak fluent German. We tried our best with translations but he appeared sharp and impatient. This kind of spoiled the experience"

"samstags, as an established target for longer cycle tour. with slemmerblock (booklet), without reservation; no problem. ordering was received shortly after our arrival. drinks were served 5 minutes after the order. pizza and salat were already 15 minutes after the order on the table.Vegetarian pizza: artichokes, paprika, mushrooms - all completely fresh, none of them came from the dose, the crunchy floor was luxuriantly occupied. the pizza is worth every cent of the calculated 8.50 euro.Salat:Gurke, olive, tomate, colorful paprika, blattsalate, rucola, parmesan; tasty yoghurt dressing. the salat was appealing on the teller. for the quantity and quality required, the 8,- euro total are in order. Conclusion:Friendly service, great location, fleet and capable kitchen, fits!"

"We visited on a week night for drinks and a little something to bite. The drinks (beer and tea) didn't take long to arrive and they were not too bad - although the waitress almost got my drink wrong. However, we also ordered some french fries (with mayonnaise only please) and a side salad (dressing on the side please). We waited about half an hour for the food to arrive! The restaurant wasn't busy - quite to the contrary: it was almost empty. The fries arrived (with mayonnaise AND ketchup) and the salad was drowned in dressing instead of the dressing being served on the side as ordered. The waitress offered to get us a different salad but we didn't want to wait another 30 minutes for it so we sucked it up.The taste was ok, nothing to write home about.We asked for the check and despite the lower than average service, gave tip. The waitress handed us the bill, wished us a nice evening and left. Upon double checking the receipt we discovered she had charged us too much. So we asked her to come back and explained the situation. After some discussion and persuasion to please double check the prices on their own menu she finally agreed that she had made a mistake and reimbursed the amount we had paid too much.Mistakes can happen especially at busy peak times. But the restaurant was almost empty, they maybe had to serve 5 tables and we saw at least 2 waitresses. So to me there is no reason whatsoever to let customers wait for their food for so long and/or make mistakes in terms of orders and especially billing..Just avoid this place and go a few more steps to Café Hindenburg, they have yummy food, great ice cream and good service."

"My wife and I had lunch here. The first thing that came to our minds when we entered the jam packed restaurant was this is stunning . So beautiful. The menu has a great variety of interesting choices, the appetizer platter is not to be missed....All very enjoyable. Our waitress, although being very busy, upheld a good service level. Well done. Just the wine was not quite what I like but that is a matter of style of wine, not of quality. The wines were good, just not the style I like. We will definitely come back. I also like the pricing. Compared to other restaurants quite on the low side. We had a short conversation with the couple at the other table. They were very happy with their food too. PS: The restaurant should have a few more smaller tables. The two of us were seated at a table of six. A bit awkward."

"on 28.07.17 we celebrated our conclusion and sought a suitable location. for long searches, which are in ludwigshafen as quite difficult for our number of guests of approx. 70 people and the limited budget of €25 per person designed I came to the tower restaurant. after a short email contact I was immediately invited to a personal conversation to make me a picture of location. I received an offer via a buffet menu very quickly and was personally introduced into everything by the restaurant manager before location. I got support in terms of planning at any time and that always time. on the day of the event I was again personally received by restaurant manager and this stood with me at every time and did the side. the staff was very friendly, eating as ordered rich and tasty and the location simply grandios. I thank you very much in the name of my class for the great support during the planning and execution of this event and can recommend a good sense of this restaurant to each of the one event with a higher number of people in and around ludwigshafen the tower restaurant. the feedback of the guests I received confirm this review."

"After we read the reviews, two hungry adult and two pizza loving children were sure we would have a great meal. wrong! my wife and I cook a lot too home and are therefore used to delicious good eating. the first thing I saw when I entered was a bucket on the pizza table, which was full of granulated cheese. in comparison to eating tonight: the vegetarian lasagne was very boring (it is a restaurant). the lasagne was hearty in the amount, but it was simply lacking taste and she seemed to be covered with the cheese I had previously seen in the bucket. I had the carving parmigiana and regretted this, as it was also lacking taste, although the portion was generous. strangely my wife complained about the salami pizza of my one child because she was too salty, and that was really. our waiter told us that the salami is actually salty. good to know, but not helpful except that I added the salty salami of the pizza and added to my carving, which has not helped me much to enjoy the food (although I tried!). the ham pizza of my daughter was also very salty. everything we ordered, except the salates (which were not bad at all) seemed to use the cheese I saw entering. "We wandered into the Domhof beer garden after having strolled through the Old Town of Speyer. It was an uncharacteristically hot afternoon giving way to a warm evening, so we appreciated the shade. Most of the outdoor seating is at large tables, and we shared our table with two groups of locals, easily striking up conversations. One of our table mates said he knew we were tourists because "only the tourists order the full liters of beer." He had nothing against consuming a liter of beer on a hot day, but he correctly pointed out that, by the time you finish your liter, the beer will be quite warm. He was correct, but the beer was excellent nonetheless. Service was efficient, although we may have slowed it down a bit by learning the background of our Canadian server. Clearly we loved the feel of the place, but the food was fine as well. Because it was so hot and because we were just getting our bearings in Germany, we opted for light food rather than the more traditional German dishes. My wife had a lovely dinner salad, and I had the grilled shrimp. We did have to have a pretzel to top off our first meal in Germany. This is definitely the place to go in Speyer."

"We stayed here in June for a few days. The original building dates from 1702 but inside it is fully modernised. There are 5 guest rooms, ours was number 2. The room was spacious with a king size bed and crisp white linen. There were 2 windows overlooking the front of the hotel. The shower room was well equipped and quite roomy with lovely white fluffy towels. The staff made us very welcome and spoke excellent English. Breakfast was typical of the region with a selection of cheeses and cold meats alongside the cereals, fresh fruit salad, yoghurt and bread rolls. Eggs were also prepared to order scrambled or boiled . Fresh coffee and tea was supplied and orange juice was also provided. The guest house is spotlessly clean and modern inside. The location is ideal for exploring Speyer on foot as it is only a few steps up to the cathedral and into the main part of the historic town. It is also only a 10/ 15 minute stroll to the River Rhine. If you have a car there is a car park right in front of the hotel, hidden from from view by shrubs and trees. We would highly recommend this establishment and look forward to staying here in the future."

"we came over the slumber block into this restaurant, had a table reserved for 20 o'clock. the restaurant was full and we had to wait a short time and then got a table assigned. the service was very friendly and tried. our order was received at a time and the drinks were brought at once. However, we had to wait an hour for our food, although almost all guests had already eaten at this time and we had not ordered complicated dishes. we had ordered a salad plate and three pizzas. after almost an hour we got zigzag, these are fried pizza pastry pieces, these were fresh and tasty. everything that came after that was not a restaurant quality. the salat with shrimps, artichokes and ei was just disgusting, the artichokes were already on the vergären, the tomaten tasted after nothing, instead of cocktail sauce the shrimps were soaked in pizza sauce and the salat was partly blurred. the pizzateig was completely desalinated and so tasted the pizzas. the coating was not evenly distributed on the pizza, but for example at a place was the whole garlic. we can't imagine how to go here more often, unless masters get a better quality. we will certainly never put a foot in this local again. the two points are only for the service, which has apologized for having to wait for our food for so long and also for the fact that we had more drinks at the end on our bill, which we fortunately still noticed."

"during two professional stays on the area, we ate twice in this restaurant. the choice in the center of speyer being quite reduced, we necessarily return to restaurants that have not disappointed us. I can't say anything about it tastefully.The drink card is very tidy with the Italian weepings, the beer prices are human for speyrer conditions. It's part of the fact that it's incredibly loud inside, because it's always completely occupied locally, especially in the evening. one understands oneself in a foursome only laborious, the sound of the other guests is overwhelming. that makes the stay very unpleasant if you want to go away in the evening.Outside, the cleanly cobbled beer garden under trees is a nice place to sit, but it is radical and rigorously closed after inhabiting complaints by 22.00 clock. in the city is closed at 23.00. this can be annoyed at later appointments.The service is based on master personnel who worked almost completely in ludwigshafen. that's the routine for good.
