"5 Stars??? Yes I do feel generous sometimes, unlike the teachers in high school who never wanted to shell out that extra half a mark for a spelling mistake. Let 's get back to Manhattan Grill and analyse (food reviewing is very serious business I tell ya! how and why they deserve full marks. I am more of a West London girl and I like the Victorian and Georgian buildings but the walk to Manhattan Grill, especially the pretty bridge you have to cross from Canary Wharf to reach your destination (Manhattan Grill is extremely romantic (that is the best word I could use, I promise . The external ambience of any restaurant does add to its charm. Oh did I mention that this steak house is a part of Mariott, these guys are ace when it comes to such things! I made a reservation before going and I was extremely delighted to see that the manager remembered my name without having to look at one of those black diaries. The service was a bit slow initially (it took them a while to get us water which we requested for but the overall service made up for that little jolt. I was generous to take a friend of mine along with me (nothing is worse than eating alone, I promise to try this place (did I mention that I won a voucher from this lovely site? Woohoo Zomato! and we decided to go for cocktails instead of wine, think we both had enough of wine over the weekend. While I was trying to carefully pick a cocktail from the menu and looking rather confused, the manager suggested that we had to the bar where an extremely experienced bar genius will talk us through all of them. We made our way to a very old fashioned (in a nice way looking bar called the G&T bar and as the name suggests they specialise in Gin. The bar genius, Sam made us try some lovely Gin from around the world Saffron infused Gin, Spice route Gin and a very London Gin. All of them had their own distinctive tastes I am not a neat spirit kind of girl but even I loved all of them especially the silk route or spice route gin (yeah yeah make those lame curry jokes, go on because I could taste the cinnamon, cardamom and other gorgeous spices. He made me a cocktail with that gin and added some more exciting things to it which included rosemary, chocolate and orange liquor BLISS. Before entering the restaurant I was starving but all this Gin excitement made me forget my hunger but by the time my cocktail was ready the waiter came and said : 'Madam your Steak is ready ' Perfect Timing! I went for the rib eye steak with creamy mash and red wine sauce keep it simple! My steak was perfectly cooked medium well (just the way I like and it was MASSIVE! A person with my appetite can never finish one of those, and needless to say I didn 't either! After being rather satisfied with my steak and cocktail, we ordered for a Manhattan Raspberry Cheesecake It was again simple but delicious. Perfect sweetness, I don 't like my cheesecakes to be extremely sugary and a generous crust nom nom nom. And... I am running out of stars! Verdict : Stunning location, Great service, Knowledgeable bar genius with a great moustache, Beautiful, well done meat and yummy desserts That m 'dear is a perfect dinner! I shall rest my case here. You can read more details on my blog."

"I can not recommend this place highly enough. I often walk down this road and see restaurants I want to try so decided to do something I don't usually do in London not book in advance, wander down there and see what we fancied. We arrived at about 6.30pm on a sunny Wednesday evening and downstairs was packed, I didn't think we would get a table as didn't realise it had an upstairs but we were lucky, there were quite a few spare tables although by about 7.15 they were all taken. The menu was big, we ordered the seabass and a lamb massaman curry, sticky rice and a kind of thin roti/flat bread (I don't remember the name of this), we were set on the seabass but couldn't decide between 3 other dishes, our waiter recommended the lamb curry as said it went best with the roti. My friend and I both lived in Asia and have been to Thailand many times, this may be the best Thai food I have had in this country. And for central London very reasonable price wise. Main courses are all £9 10 (apart from the sea bass which was more expensive) and we got a bottle of chenin blanc for £22 (I know this may sound expensive to people outside of central London but to put it into perspective I paid this for 2 glasses later on in the evening). Staff were lovely and although our waiter didn't speak too much English it just added to the whole experience, he knew enough to make good recommendations so that's all that matters. I don't go to many places on a regular basis in London as there is so much choice but this is going to be added to my list."

"if hospitable as this existed in western london I would be a happy woman and even a busy leader. at the entrance to this hotel you can see well-designed seating areas with varied heights bar/ ess/ leather stands and sofa areas. the distance allows a simple passage for wheelchair users (nb: tables are in the right height for the seat transfer) rod walkers and groups can loop through with little difficulty. signage for food choices is plentiful and I love the invitation to order the afternoon teapot display. I apologise everyone to find the tap selection. there is a wide selection of london, Great Britain and continental beer, store and apple wines. my favorite summer shandy that made cornish doom got a yay from me. my friends enjoyed rose and red wine choices with exotic names followed by a debatte, over which whisky was a good after lunch and joyful joy. we don't even have that. beautiful selection of appetizers and nets, the steaks, fish, correct mac n cheese, vegan burgers, robust salads including the powerful nutritional bowl. many attention has been paid to our groups Allergen list with one of our party getting a customized teller of food. that alone deserves a fifth star. we received a handy laminate tab for the table that made it easier to order during our three-hour stay. they couldn't get rid of us. even if it was extremely busy when the workers gathered near to relax with all the tables inside and outside. I would say it had an autistic friendly / introverted vibe until then. even the loos were pleasant to use with clear signs on a flush that even arthritis hands could manage. the full advantage of the handy tiled bar in my toilet to put my phone. the only note that I was very informative to the manager who was about his customer panel, helps them with tweets to be accessible. dessert decisions. they will deliver for the summer months. illuminate the carabiner charge with ice/sorbet/eton measurement/trifles. as they are in a financial district, how would it be to make a fun millionaires buckling delightful. I would travel to london. I applaud the ambiente this place, the dedication of efficient non-complaining bar employees who work on full pelt, serve, clearing tables and listen, customers chat and the look on the wharf through the window is also relaxing. a visit worth. they handle the rest because this is simply the best. that is my longest review. Many thanks for coming to the end. "

"Straight away made no arrangements to help with buggy situation… straight away told us we couldn’t have buggies downstairs, that didn’t bother me as much because we found nice seats. When we ordered we wanted lamb tikka biriyani but the staff came back said...“we couldn’t have it because it would take too long to cook” so we had to take a alternative, about mins later they brought the food to the table.. that seemed very fast for something that was meant to be freshly cooked food.. we didn’t think anything of it so we all tucked into the food. Prior to this I asked if the curry sauce that came with the biriyani spicy as I told them I was going to give it to my months old daughter.. the staff memeber told me now, but as I was feeding her it was spicy so I had to stop as she started crying, it’s a good thing I had alternatives to feed her. Why would you lie to me about how spicy the curry is.. as I asked many times to make sure it wasn’t spicy for her, I did taste test to check, but it’s like the spicy was hidden, you didn’t get to taste it until later. Once we all finished our food, our table didn’t get cleared, we ordered dessert and the staff didn’t even clear the table to make space for dessert. My friend had to tell the staff member to clear the table as all he was doing was moving plates in a corner of the table and not take them to the kitchen. finally we are our dessert and paid. Even then the staff member made paying a big deal… trying to make women a baby go to the cash machine at when they had a card machine. Finally we paid left. On our way home we had to stop at Westfield toilets because our bellies were hurting from the time we left the restaurant we had runny diarrhoea, even today the next day our bellies are still hurting on the also being a Muslim/Indian cuisine they should have allocated spaces for the Muslims to pray Maghrib and isha if they’re at the facilities as to other Muslim/Indian restaurants have."
