Tübingen, a picturesque university city, blends historic charm with vibrant youth. Typical eats include Maultaschen, a local ravioli-type dish, and Zwiebelkuchen, an onion tart.

"This place is, well, average or maybe even good by the local Schwäbisch standard, judging by the number of customers there. But let's be honest, it is bad. The pizzas taste like cardboard it is impossible to chew. One of the three pizzas we...ordered was burned pretty bad by the rim. And all the pizzas we tried are so salty! I am a person who usually complain about food that's not salty enough but oh my this place, is out of the ordinary. What's even worse, the service is horrific. The waiters all looked like they had a bad day. They are only there at the beginning to take your order, and then they disappeared.. We felt like we had to beg to pay! What a restaurant!"

"Excellent food although we didn't reserve. As the restaurant was full, we were offered the possibility to have a table in the renovated Gewölbekeller which proved to be the best possible coincidence as it offers historic style which perfectly meets the dishes. Congratulations to the...very young waiter who did an excellent job. As a starter, we would especially recommend the Pfifferlinge mit Trüffelpuree which was clearly the highlight of the day. A clear glutenfree card is offered!"

"We went there for Lunch. 1) Location : easy to reach / locate as it is on bus route.2) Ambience: very good3) Food : serve both veg and non veg Indian food. Both buffet and a la carte available. Also Thali meals. We could get vegetarian food without garlic. Buffet spread is not very large but just adequate and includes 2 non veg soups and 1 veg soups. Taste was very good and not too spicy. Mango cream was served as dessert which we all liked. 4) Service: Very good.5) Pricing: Buffet is priced Euro 8+ and Veg Thali at Euro 12+Overall we liked the place and food and will certainly recommend."

"We started sitting here because it was a nice day and we wanted some beers in an outdoor setting. What started as “some beers” ended being dinner and more. The service was pretty good, although some waiters struggled with English. But they had a translation...of the menu and they did their best to make us happy. The outdoor seating is fantastic. On a quiet pedestrian street and next to a water channel, the kids can run around pretty safely while the adults enjoy life. The food was also good. They have a ton of different schnitzel, with ham, with cheese with pineapple... all quite big portions and tasty. But careful, the beers are not cheap, so drink moderately!"

"On August this year old very very unfriendly and grumpy, angry, skinny waiter or owner greeted us with “we usually don’t accept people for a large table it’s not economical. (they don’t have small tables anyway). We were asked to...fill up the contact tracing. We filled it up with just a number and left the address blank. We know from the German gov’t that one must only put a contact number and not email address or home address for data protection. Suddenly this grumpy angry unfriendly year old man started barking to us like a mad dog for not providing the home address. So we left and promised not to come back to this restaurant with super bad and rude customer service. He just showed us what kind of a person is he uneducated and doesn’t treat people with respect and dignity. We will not come back to this restaurant called Wurstküche. It should be called WORST KITCHEN"

"The food here is average at best. Far too oily and smothered in poor sauces. There is little creativity in their menu and its all waked in a wok then waked on my plate. This is ok for when I have absolutely nothing in the...fridge to eat, but apart from that, I won't be coming back...."

"The former Waldhorn in Tübingen Bebenhausen is no longer available. The one Michelin star was lost and now, after the change of pawn, the inn has renamed Schranners Waldhorn. Upon arrival you can assume warm light and a pleasant ambience through the many windows. The fact that there is nobel inside shows a big bouquet at the entrance. Decorative items set in scene and later noble wine coolers at the table are missing as little as white fabric tablecloths and fabric napkins. The six tables in the guest room are located along the windows and one was placed similar to a septaree. There is already a closed society in the secondary area. We are led to our reserved table. In the service this evening, a family member (in-law mother/mother) seems to work with us, which looks particularly hectic. We don't even sit yet, we're already asking for our aperitif wishes. Later in the chord the water will be gifted by it no we are not on the run and do not want to contribute to the maximization of profit in this form. Chef Max Schranner's menu made us curious, because she seemed to be able to satisfy our preferences for this evening. If you don't want to take a menu in 5 courses at 65 Euros, you will find a nice selection of five appetizers (8.50 Euro to 22 Euro), two intermediate dishes, four soups (6.50 Euro to 15 Euro), seven main courses and five different desserts or Cheese. On the menu we especially liked that classics such as Gaisburger Marsch or stove slippers, which have long since become oblivious at other places are offered. The amuse bouche this evening was a strong lobster essence. It was served in a small cup with a pastry stalk. My appetizer, St. Pierre with black Tagliatelle and crust scum (19 euro), was designated as an intermediate dish. A nice piece of fish without bones was dressed on the noodle turret. Among them is a fine and powerful little bump. Many small zucchini pieces and dried tomatoes make the whole really peppery. It tasted very good and was my favorite this evening. The following Gaisburger march (13.50 euros) also called potato carvings and sparrows, took place in earlier times when this elaborately cooked Swabian dish was at home. Opticly it fulfilled my claim and the soup plate was also well filled with carrot slices, potatoes, beef and a small bowl of Spätzle. The soup was again of strong nature and too salted for my taste. A little more late zle almost failed to ensure that a glimpse to the service ladies was not possible. If I have to walk around in an upscale restaurant to make me noticeable, this is an absolute no go. As a dessert, I had once again chosen a classic, the oven slipper with vanilla ice cream (11 euros). It was a baked cake, juicy apple slices I missed and overall the baked was dry, happy and no enjoyment. This has not succeeded and certainly the modern style of the nightstand. I know it with soft apples and bread slices that are softened beforehand. Very well the lobster foam soup arrived at the table, as well as the beef fillet, where the potato artichokes were very firm in consistency. The pork chop was not the racer, and a dessert would no longer order from our round here. We found the kitchen growing through and for the bids, including the service the prices are too och set. As far as the service is concerned, we would have liked to ask ourselves whether everything is right during the meal. Every employee is responsible for everything and everyone is uncoordinated and then comes the food where the ladies then stand behind one and ask first of all who gets what to then whistle around the table. We imagine a cozy outrageous."

"We went yesterday (Saturday) morning for brunch at Ludwig’s. A couple of weeks ago we reserved a table for five. The brunch is € 16,90 per person and includes a range of soft drinks you can get yourself from the, and unlimited hot drinks which...will be prepared fresh for you!(one time we had to wait a little bit, perhaps 10 minutes, as all tables were occupied. Wait staff apologised for the wait). At the breakfast bar there are choices of yoghurt, bircher muesli, fruit, jam, cheese, ham, salmon, horse radish, various kind of bred rolls, bred, sausages and ‘Weisswurst’ with sweet mustard. We all had a good time and were impressed with the excellent value for money. Since all tables were occupied, early reservation is recommended."

"First the good news: parking is easy, the decor is attractive, there is a small outside area for summer dining, and the four barrel-aged wines on the list (e.g. Banfi Chianti Riserva), priced in the low twenties, offer good value. There is a long seasonal menu with some interesting choices, shown with prices on the website, and an even longer one of Italian standards, unpriced on the website but offered at reasonable prices. Service was friendly. The problem at our meal was the standard of cooking. A redeeming feature of Salmone agli aromi with spaghetti was the fresh tarragon in the cream sauce, but the large plate of pasta and the sea of fatty sauce, on the point of curdling, was far from appetising, and the fish was overcooked. Similarly, a saving grace of Pappardelle with Pfifferlinge in sage butter was the shavings of fresh truffle but again the amount of fatty sauce made the dish heavy and unbalanced. In summary: good value if you're hungry, but fine cooking it isn't."

"I'm lucky to have friends in Tubingen that are real 'foodies' as they always take the time to choose the best restaurants when I am in town. The restaurant is hidden away from the main part of town but still within easy walking distance. It is small and justifiably busy so do book in advance.A welcome from the kitchen was served which was a leaf coated in sesame seeds and coconut with some chilli sauce - I could have eaten a few more - I would love to know how they made them. We then shared an appetiser of vegetarian rolls which was amazingly fresh and tasty. When the main courses arrived we were glad we only took one starter - they were huge!I had the stir fry vegetables with peanuts, again really fresh and delicious, it came served with Rice. My friend had a duck dish which I was assured was also delicious. We had no room for desert but the deep fried ice cream sounded intriguing and I need to save some space to try that next time. The menu also gave a clear explanation about spice level and you could order western spicy or Thai spicy - that's a great idea as Thai spicy is not for the faint hearted.A lovely evening with really good food!"

"They have a selection of classic, tasty, fulfilling breakfast items from which you can choose any combination you like. We tried ham eggs, multiple kinds of scrambled eggs, and bread with jam. Everything was fresh, well-made and nice, all in all it was a...great breakfast experience. Coffee was also tasty and hot. Bonus points for the nice outside area."

"We went there with family as we were in holiday, first of all it took time for someone to come and give the menu card actually they brought the menu card when we saw they giving the menu card to the people who came later...than us. The starter we took was fabulous, but the carbonara one of us took was tasteless , my penne arrabiata was not special, the pasta ragu was okay, as the carbonara was tasteless we asked salt and peper to a waiter he said yes will bring it and didn't so had to ask another waitress again and she brought it. We had ordered starter which was delicious but then they brought the main dish even before they cleaned our starter plates. We had to push the empty plates side. I have to say people who wrre eating pizza on our next table seems to enjoy , so I can't say about all the dishes just what we had. Usually if we eat out we give percent tip even if food is okay or bad but as food was not good and the service was not good we didn't pay tip"

"Earlier, yes earlier in the supposed better times, there was reliable in every village, in every neighborhood, in every gravel in almost insurmountable number.... the pub, the pickle, the sputt or the inn... Nowadays they have mutated either in the sports bar with underground culinary uind aesthetics offer or the trendy In Treff with tapas and bargain fress if they did not even die the very quiet death of the so many other village pubs. In Hageloch, a village district on the edge of the Schönbuch of the magnificent university town of Tübingen, this generally appalling decline in bitter resistance is achieved. At the idyllic address At the village fountain, the GRÜNE BAUM has been hiding something since ancient times. A village farm par excellence.... After conquering one of the rare parking spaces in the lush village alley, the inclined guest is led to the first floor via a narrow wooden staircase. All human needs should be made first on the ground floor... On the Belle floor of the old farmhouse, which rather welcomes small guest rooms with rustic interiors: pasture of reefs and deer, filled balls of small mammals from the nearby forest are mandatory here.... A secondary space for the great urge is additionally kept ready. The soon made rather small card brings culinary delicacies to the Swabian skis, but still groundy: beef with herbal bottles and muzzle soup belong to the standard, cream carvings or beef roasts with late zle to the general good and if it is to be a slum, of course the ingenious onion roasting with peasant bread or even with good choice. Peasant sausage for the serrated guests from Westphalia with or without Swabian potato salad and the indestructible mustache for the dwarfs among the Swabians are of course also in the repertoire.... The service is unobtrusive homosexual polite and man/woman is of course iron concerned about the well-being of foreign guests from the Ruhrpott.... over acidic cubes and acidic kidneys were therefore kept polite and otherwise the Swabian wine and the local beer were praised! Luckily, a few years ago, the generations were able to change without tasteful and aesthetic loss... because it just remained as usual.... A hostage to the taste of the lap and probably a stranger.... Greetings from Schroeder"

"Due to the very high salaries for cooks and service personal, Germans have a strange way of saving money. You an have lunch until p.m., eat until p.m..... but than, there is a break und if you've not made it in time you...have to stave another hours. Not the case in RATSKELLER! I ad a wonderful portion of yummy Kässpätzle Chesenoodles with rosted onions on top, together with two glasses of Riesling.... And had a great time in this big cellarrestaurant. I loved the style and how I was treated. Visitors: Go to the RATSKELLER for a lovely break"

"* below* my vegan chili cheeseburger with sweetpatty and multigrain rolls was really delicious: . am theke I was very nicely advised. there are two different vegan pattys, a meat imitation and a sweet one. at the end there was still the saying that as real vegan should not eat meat imitation for luck I wanted a beautiful hahahaha. the last time I was there a few years ago and either the owner has changed or the concept has been completely changed. now drinks are sold by coca cola and also plastic bottles, but the tasepatty tastes much better and the selection of vegan burgers is greater: . had a really good burger today: . I ordered the chili cheeseburger with the Veggie-Patty and a multicorn beer. the workers at the theke helped me decide: they have two vegan patties, one that tastes like meat and the veggie patty. service was fast and there are many really comfortable stands. good option if they are looking for a fast firm burger; ."

"I've only been here for a few days and really enjoyed my stay there. it is a very nice and comfortable place when I come from the stuttgarter airport and I take the bus that will take it to tübingen in about an hour....you can almost keep in front of the hotel, two minutes to foot. the personal is very nice and is available at any time for asking. the room I got was very nice, comfortable bed, large bathroom (with a strong wall hair dryer) and a large shower. the breakfast is also incredible. they have different kinds of jams, all very good. in particular they have a certain yogurt!!! the hotel is located just a few minutes walk from the city center, it is a very nice walk (long straight road). I have enjoyed my stay in tübingen"

"We visited the restaurant on recommendation of the local. We almost skipped it because not so inviting from outside, however inside its warm and welcoming. We were there a weekday lunch and still place was full so needed to share a long table, so worth...reserving a table. The menu is interesting and intriguing, however most of the chef's innovations are nor really how you imagine them, so they were not a hit on us, but appreciate the try. However he is just rocking on classics: beautifully made, fantastic flavours. The service was kind and attentive. I love the local non-alcoholic prosecco they recommended with frozen grape in it, it was so fresh and tasty! Their wiener schnitzel and the goat cheese starter was the very best! Highly recommended if you want a good meal in Tübingen"
