"The best good pub around. We love to visit the Melton for our hangover cure on a Saturday lunch time. The staff are always so lovely and friendly and go out of their way to help. Especially Sophie. They have a brilliant Gluten Free menu which is the best I’ve seen in a pub before. The food is home cooked and gorgeous. Would highly recommend you try it. "Avoid staying at this hotel's accommodation. They advertised free parking, but after registering our details with the owner of the pub upon arrival, we ended up being charged for parking for 4 months. We then received debt recovery notices and threats of court action if we didn't pay up. The owner has been unresponsive to our calls, voice notes, and messages for months, leaving us £170 out of pocket. This level of service and lack of care for customers is unacceptable. Steer clear of this accommodation if you don't want to deal with months of stress and end up paying more than double the nightly rate in parking fines."

"on Saturday night it was very quiet. this place was earlier to save. we were not yet time and had to book or wait. but we were standing up and were shown directly on one. we were...pronounced a lot of time to peruse the menu, and the waiters answered all asking patiently. we had poppadome to begin, plus a selection of starters shared...then shared a curry. all starters were excellent. we had chicken corai, which was very, very mild (as mild as a corma), not even a medium-sized curry. it would have done with more spicy. but it was tasty and beautifully presented and we left the restaurant full to burst! the place looks a little tired and the rows of tables in the middle looks very school canteen! the management should change the definitiw and put it only for larger groups than and if necessary in rows, it would look so much better! great service, great eating, great business."

"Very nice meal, I had the Tandoori Mixed Grill and my accomplice had the Chicken Madras. Both were lovely and there was plenty to eat. This place is obviously very busy with carry-out orders and the continual ringing of the telephone was somewhat off-putting in an otherwise very quiet restaurant. Was maybe just the owners manner but he sounded very abrupt on the telephone? It's a big place to be the only diners in but as per my opening comments the food was lovely."

"Terrible experience! We've visited this restaurant several times for family birthdays, but tonight was disappointing. My grandson only wanted chicken, and we were told it would be cheaper than the set child price. However, they charged us £15 for a small crispy chicken. We spent over £150, and they still charged us £10 just for my grandson to sit at the table. The staff's attitude, including the so-called manager, was unacceptable. This was once our favorite place, but we won't be returning. One star from us!"

"My wife and I had a delightful Sunday lunch yesterday. We returned after having decided a few months ago that the food quality had diminished too much for our taste, but we were pleased to find significant improvements this time around. I suspect there have been positive changes in key staff since our last visit. The quality of the beef and lamb dishes was excellent, though the portions were a bit smaller, especially since we didn't order extra sides. I would have liked to enjoy a coffee afterward, but the waitress cleared our plates and left before asking if we wanted any. Overall, it was a very enjoyable and promising experience."

"We rang at short notice today and booked a table for 5 people. We rang prior as I have allergies and asked if it was OK for me to eat there as I have had a bad experience with a pub refusing to serve me. I am happy to say that the staff were so helpful and the chef was happy to accommodate me, which I'm great full for. It was really busy, nothing was too much trouble and the staff were happy. Really nice atmosphere. Thank you, we will be returning."

"Taro has become one of my main cravings these days, and not only because it is close to my home. In fact, I have gone to this sushi restaurant so many times that I need a break to make sure I don’t tire of it. It is a small, simple Japanese place located on the busy Finchley Road. "This was a prearranged group booking. The starters were reasonably good but I then had the medium lamb curry. It was just pieces of lamb in a tasteless gravy with no noticeable spices. I also had to wait nearly 30 minutes between the rice and meat arriving. When I complained I was offered a discount on my next visit. I won't go there again. "Excellent food and service not a huge menu but enough choice to cater for all needs. It was a 21st birthday celebration meal for us and the staff really made this an occasion to remember for us great seating in the 'library ' room, lots of reference and attention for the birthday guest and the dessert came with a candle and happy birthday written in chocolate around the edges of the dessert bowl a lovely touch. It was our first visit and we will definately be visiting again highly recommend"

"I 'm Boston beer, American BBQ listening to The Beatles in London. It cannot get anymore cliché than this. If you are craving meat (not chicken really), this is the place to be. They 're known for their 'Burnt Ends ', and if you do get them get it with the pork ribs and a pint. Nice grungey place, especially like the pink Neon pig on the glass display. The layout is pretty open here (at least on the first floor). If you 're expecting to have a nice private moment, you 'll probably end up sharing a table with others. They have a few two long table that seats 10pax and corner tables facing the walls and tables that are perfect for couples or threesome. One the basement however (aka Rib Room), has a different atmosphere altogether. It has cosier environment, complete with a full bar, cushioned seats that fits a good 4pax for intimate sessions. The food, what we ordered: 1. Burnt ends with Pork Ribs Wet £16.95 comes with fries and coleslaw could choose your Burnt Ends in wet or dry, wet comes with all the juice and dry, is just dry with sauce on the side (I think) it 's quite a generous portion, but enough for one hungry meat eater 2. 135g Boston Butt Sandwich (more like a burger) comes with fries coleslaw ordered separately £2.50 pork shoulder smashed between two perfect buns 3. A pint of Sam Adams £6.95 Total damage: £33.35! A little steep for two You like meat? You will have enough meat here."

"was looking for a decent Chinese in aylesbury and read the reviews for this place, rang and ordered, very friendly guy took my order, had a laugh and a joke, read my order back to me and told me delivery time, it was delivered by a polite oldish guy who was very polite, so the service I received was amazing, now let's try the food!!!! WOW WOW WOW the taste, the flavours, it was just amazing, the whole experience was 10/10, the prawn crackers were melt in your mouth, absolutely loved it, couldn't recommend the place more highly, I wouldnt use any other Chinese in aylesbury since I found this little gem, I ignored the negative reviews and tried it for myself and very glad I did, this place is amazing you won't be disappointed, that I can assure you."
