I just ordered takeaway, and while I usually enjoy their curry, it was quite disappointing tonight. The meat seemed cold, and the curry itself was tasteless and watery. Unfortunately, we've decided not to order the beef curry again. Food: 3 Service: 4

This is definitely our favorite Chinese restaurant in the area. Whether you decide to eat in or order takeout, the food is exceptional. They offer quick delivery and have a fantastic banquet menu available throughout the week. We even took my mom, who isn't usually a big fan of food, here for New Year's, and she loved it. I had a frustrating experience at this restaurant. I placed an order online through Just Eat and waited for over an hour, only to discover that my order had been canceled because my location was too far for delivery. This was especially annoying, considering they still charge a delivery fee. To make matters worse, I never received a phone call to explain this ridiculous situation.

Had 7 dumplings which were hot and tasty, fried rice not too fatty good portion, special duck and prawn meat in an oyster sauce, was OK, felt it was a little bland, also Cantonese style sizzling beef, very tasty with udon noodles. Attentive staff, typical prices, pint of Singha beer and a Chinese tea, just over 50 quid for 2 people. We were passing thru so not sure if we would find come back. Food: 4 Service: 5 Atmosphere: 3

The interior of this restaurant is quite charming, which makes it unfortunate that the exterior looks a bit run-down. It's also disheartening to see that it often appears nearly empty lately, especially since they offer outstanding Chinese cuisine at great prices. They have an all-you-can-eat option, but rather than a buffet, the food is made to order. You can keep ordering dishes until you’re full, all for around £13. They do mention a charge for any leftover food (meaning if you order something and don’t finish it), which I think is fair. I highly recommend you give it a try! View menu

Awful experience! I strongly advise against dining at this establishment. I ordered a large meal for delivery, and the first item we opened—the salt and pepper chips—had a revolting hairball in it! We immediately discarded everything but not before taking a photo and contacting the restaurant. They requested the picture, which we provided, but then they called back accusing us of putting the hair in there! Fortunately, Just-Eat was very helpful and issued a full refund. Interestingly, they also recommended that we contact the Food Standards Agency, suggesting they might have received other complaints. I will certainly not be ordering from there again. It was a truly unpleasant experience.

When we walked into the restaurant it would have been nice to have been acknowledged by the staff, but we weren 't. So we waited, in full sight of two staff, who continued to ignore us, for about 5 minutes, and all the while a group of children ran screaming throughout the restaurant and reception area. Eventually, my husband had had enough, so he walked around to the restaurant area to ask for a table when he was rudely told to go back to reception and take a seat. An incredibly bored-looking waitress arrived with menus but no eye contact asking what we wanted to drink. After such a 'warm ' and 'valued ' welcome I wanted plenty to drink, but we decided leave and take our business elsewhere...

I hadn't considered trying this Chinese takeaway before, as it's not the most convenient option for me, but my daughter convinced me to give it a shot. The menu is quite extensive, featuring all the classic favorites as well as a variety of unique dishes. My personal favorite is the Mongolian Lamb curry, but I was also introduced to frog legs at The Royale—something I never thought I would try—and they turned out to be surprisingly delicious. We now prefer The Royale for larger gatherings because they handle big orders with ease.
