"Lovely cafe though long wait for food. The kids love the Little Farmers breakfast with scrambled eggs though my coffee wasn’t great. Would be lovely if they had more vegetable dishes (a ratatouille or veg casserole with fresh local produce would be wonderful). Also, they sell a product called ‘sh!t happens’ alongside the kids items which isn’t the smartest product placement"

"We were quickly greeted by a waitress who brought us the menus and took our drink orders as we decided on our meals. We ended up choosing fish and chips with smashed peas, a chicken dish, calamari, and a burger with chips on the side. We were all pleased with our choices as the food was delicious. Everything was served hot, with plenty of flavor and not greasy. The waitress regularly checked on us with a smile to ensure we had everything we needed. I highly recommend this restaurant for its excellent service. Service: 5 stars."

"It’s a hit and miss for us. Some of the dishes stood out whereas rest were not upto mark. The beef dishes, salmon starter, Thai curry and rice were among the nice ones whereas noodle and salad were the worst. Most of the items are deep fried which came as a shame especially for salad. The portions were good and filling. Good staff but ambience I prefer Leamington Spa. Over all a good experience. Visited Sep 23 Vegetarian options: There are a lot of options. "Of all of the local eateries in the surrounding area, the Punchbowl is always the most consistent, serving an array of beautiful dishes to the same high standard. The Sunday lunches are really good too the chateaubriand is amazing (but so is the pork, chicken and beef! We never struggle to find something on the menu that isn’t a win.. Whenever we have friends over from the USA or visiting from down south the first question they always ask is ‘are we going to the Punch?… We enjoy going out to eat, and here we know that the food will be amazing, the staff are so incredible and the service is always great and being honest, there isn’t any real competition, it blows everywhere else out of the water! It has a lovely ambience, struggling to say anything other than I can’t recommend this place highly enough! Keep doing what you’re doing…"

"I don't usually leave any reviews, but this place was so wonderful that I just had to. the service was absolutely phenomenal. the 2 ladies were so friendly, polite and helpful. the drinks were amazing and there was a lot of drink in the cocktails against other restaurants where they serve in tiny tassen. the food was so delicious (we had the mixed shaders) and the churros were the best we ever had. we couldn't believe how good the price level was. the atmosphere was amazing and we had such a relaxed, fantastic night. this is one of the best restaurants I have visited and we will definitely be back."

"I was visiting Warwick with the wife for our wedding anniversary and wanted to find a nice restaurant, La mesa came high on the Reviews and some times you have to take TripAdvisor with a 'Pinch of Salt ', I looked deeper into the internet and found some food critic who gave excellent reviews so had no hesitance in booking...... and we were not disappointed! This is a small and cosy restaurant, ideal for couples, a small group of friends or a business dinner. A 6 course taster menu (only option and changes every night) prepared to the quality most people dream of and only see on TV, and all for a modest set price. neighbouring tables had allergies or food preferences and this was also covered for! Don 't ask me what ingredients and herbs and spices accompanied the courses, that is explained as it was served, but I can tell you that we had a Spicy Chicken Soup, Buffalo Mozzarella on a bed of Seaweed, a large Pork meatball, Giant Prawns on a bed of Risotto, Slow cooked Lamb with a truffle mash and a creamy sugar glazed dessert. Washed down with a couple of bottles of Rioja and a Spanish liqueur compliments of La Mesa! I would 100% recommend La Mesa, fantastic food, great atmosphere, warm, welcoming and attentive staff, great wine and I love the open 'not a show kitchen ' but a creative kitchen! Booking a must and I believe 4-6 weeks in advance!"

"My family and I came here last Sunday for Sunday Lunch and had the best time. I am gluten and dairy intolerant and staff spent time going through the menu with me. There was so much choice and I was able to have most things that were on the Sunday lunch menu. Staff just swapped and changed things around so I could have what I wanted. My family who don’t have any intolerances said it was the best Sunday lunch they have had in a long time. We will definitely be going back and it’s now a firm favourite in our family!"

"It 's a nice place with a good atmosphere, I like the decor and the staff were friendly, helpful and accommodating. It 's great they have separate Gluten-free and Vegan menus as well as dishes that cross over both. Purely on service this would be a 5 star review, unfortunately the food, especially the main corses really let in down and with the price, it was hard to shift the disappointment. I spent just under £100 on two adults and one child (including the service charge automatically added on We had tapas and two mains which just about filled us as the portions are on the smaller side. The tapas was definitely better than the mains but in my opinion, unfortunately still unimaginative, underwhelming and overpriced. The edamame and tofu was quite nice along with the falafel, the fish cakes were tasty but the rest was pretty forgettable. The gin was delicious though, washed it all down a treat, go for the gin. The mains were just confusing. The seabass was nice but the chips that came with it seemed undercooked and bland. The pan fried chicken on coleslaw was strange, it didn 't go down well, we all tried some but just ended up picking the chicken off and leaving the rest. Chicken on coleslaw with peanuts for £17.50 that 's one to go back to the drawing board in my opinion. (I make no apologies for awful puns or honest reviews. I went in to check it out as i was going to book a table for my birthday because of the different menu 's and options but i think it 's best to stick to drinks there and tapas if I 'm particularly peckish but i wouldn 't go out of my way to go to eat there again."

"Going on the reviews, I was expecting something special, I was disappointed. The food was a bit plain, it was almost as if they'd forgotten to add the spices, except for chilli. The meat was tough and chewy, and I like mutton more than lamb. The Bhindi Bhaji was OK but again the spice infusion was missing. Although it's obviously popular, I found it disappointing, it didn't live up to the hype. Having said all that, the staff are friendly and attentive, it's the food that lets the place down. I'd try somewhere else next time."

"Lovely place with delicious food and friendly staff. The menu offers many options. We went for tapas and ordered 5 small plates between us 2. We had Nachos (we really recommend!! , honey glazed chorizo, Brie wedges, patates bravas and squid. The portions were generous and we loved the food! We also shared one portion of churros for dessert, it was plenty for 2 after the tapas. The food was delivered at a good pace and we didn’t have to wait too long. The place got quite busy around 7pm so I would definitely recommend booking. 6pm seemed the perfect time to be there. We would love to come back if we ever visit Leamington Spa again! Price per person: £30–40 Food: 5 Service: 5 Atmosphere: 5 Recommended dishes: Churro, Nachos, Salt N Pepper Squid, Tapas, Homemade Patatas Bravas"

"So happy to have found a relatively local pub that does a great vegan Sunday roast. There is a choice of seitan or nut roast or alternatively pies. The choice when we were there was sausage and onion or mushroom and guinness pie. You can add cauliflower cheese and Yorkshire pudding to the roast and choose a smaller portion which by the time you have added all the vegetables was more than sufficient. If you don't want a full dinner then there is a seitan Sunday batch. Three pudding options of apple crumble, ginger sponge pudding and chocolate nut brownie. We will definitely be back. The food was great and the staff were so friendly and helpful and made sure they only brought out vegan options."

"We stop there for a drink after our walk. The female bartender at the time made me a wrong coffee. But blamed it on me that I've put the wrong order in, instead of fixed her mistake make me a new one. (I ordered a latte but I got Americano.... So not a good impression for customer service really. Definitely not coming back there again."

"We stayed two nights and had dinner and breakfast. The room was absolutely delightful. We booked the family room which was on the top floor. I checked in alone and the manager was kind enough to help me with my bags. It is several flights of stairs but this was manageable for us. The room was clean, incredibly spacious, and wonderfully comfortable. The dinner we had was very nice. The wine and steak was lovely. The chips were very average. Breakfast was fine. A yummy coffee and plenty of options for kiddos. I had the pancakes and found the portion small for the price but tasty. It is the perfect location just off the market square. It can be a bit noisy at night but it is a pub after all and nearby other pubs/bars. We didn’t find it overwhelming though. Our toddler and baby still fell asleep fine."

"If you fancy something different then this is the place for you. There's no menu so you get five delicious courses chosen and prepared by the chef. The food and venue both have a Spanish theme so it's very relaxed and informal with a warm welcome and first class service. On the evening I went the starter was mixed hors d'oeuvres of chorizo, serrano ham, tortilla, cheeses and marinated olives with bread and dips. This was followed by a sweet potato, butternut squash and leek soup with fresh coriander. The fish course was a seafood paella with sea bream, calamari and shrimps. This was followed by a tender and juicy breast of chicken served on a bed of mash with a romesco sauce. Dessert was a light almond sponge with cream, fresh strawberries and a caramel drizzle. I thoroughly enjoyed every mouthful and the portions were just the right size to be able to enjoy all five courses comfortably. There's a very good wine list but I went for the wine-pairing option and left it to the waiter, Jorge, to choose the wine to match the dish. Two of the wines and the liqueur with the dessert were new to me and very good indeed so it was good to get to try them. Next time I'm passing through Warwick I'll be dining here again."

"Brilliant pub in old Kenilworth over 500 years old and an amazing find. Excellent cask beer, lovely Prosecco and great prices and when we arrived we surprised to find a mini beer festival event. All the staff were lovely as were the very friendly locals who welcome both my fiancé and I but also my 5 year old whippet Paulo. Special thanks to Stephen for the cask beer service, his friendliness and absolutely 1st class approach to hospitality. Good luck with the Kitchen Fitting apprenticeship young man you will be a massive success. What a fantastic couple of hours we enjoyed. Cheers"

"Visited recently on a Monday night. The place was deserted, maybe because of the fact that it was s bank holiday. The place has a really nice ambiance with very placed lights that give it a warm and welcoming effect. The food options are plenty and the restaurant serves almost all the dishes served in any Indian restaurant in the UK. The drink options can be improved though, especially when it comes to beers as it only serves 3 or 4 types. Lastly, their service is nice and everything was served promptly. We went for a biryani which was well made. Special shout out to their pappadams, which were fresh and the accompaniments were very delectable too."

"We 've been a couple of times, as it has good reviews, but we won 't be returning. Pros the 'duck tagliatelle ' was tasty, portions are generous and the look of the place covered in fairy lights and resembling an orchard in spring is pleasing although a bit intense. Cons service was extremely rushed and we were asked to leave our table to the next customers after 2h and 2 minutes of arriving (we sat down less than that as we waited a bit for our table). Like us, there was two other tables celebrating birthdays and the waiters were loudly singing and clapping away, as if they were in TGI Fridays. At some stage one of the singing waiters said who 's next?. Of course, we never said it was my husband 's birthday that night! The menu doesn 't change could be a good thing, but food is generally bland and certainly not seasonal. It feels like an upmarket fast food chain. Food a bit overpriced around £70 per person"

"The restaurant offers an excellent special with a light batter upon request. The fish (I had plaice) was fresh and tasty, and the chips were crispy and chunky. All four of us agreed that it was the best fish and chip shop in the area. However, we were disappointed to discover at the end of the meal that they do not accept cards. This was not mentioned on their website or flyers, and even if you typically carry a card reader for online payments, you would not have been able to use it. Chip Shed, please provide better communication about your payment options."

"My wife and I are regular diners here and often joined by family members. The food is excellent, the service commendable with welcoming and friendly waiters. Unfortunately, our last visit was disappointing. I ordered a large glass of Merlot which is my favourite tipple. However, on this occasion there was clearly an issue with the wine which had a slight brownish tint and tasted spoiled. I asked for it to be replaced. If this was to be conducted in a professional manner the waiter would have brought an unopened bottle and a clean glass to the table. Instead, the waiter returned with a full glass. I tasted the wine and was convinced it was either the same glass of wine or was replaced by wine from the same bottle. Nevertheless, I decided not to pursue the issue. When the bill arrived it appeared higher than was usual. Once again I decided not to query it but thought I would check the bill at home. This was thwarted by the waiter picking the bill up and slipping it into his pocket as we said our farewells. I was later able to do the calculations and confirm we were overcharged by the equivalent of an additional large glass of wine! And we had left a generous tip! We won’t be hurrying back."

"Beautiful Middle Eastern food unusual and nothing else like this in Leamington Spa. So nice to try something different and everything delicious. Knowledgeable and friendly waitress. Great Covid social distancing measures in place, although it makes the dining room feel a bit cavernous so perhaps some screens barriers plants would make it feel cosier, particularly on a chilly evening. And perhaps a bit of quiet soft background music, although it was lovely to be somewhere in Leamington for a meal where you didn't have to shout across the table to your dining companion to be heard! All diners there on the evening we went were chatty but quiet and respectful of everyone else."
