"I was visiting Warwick with the wife for our wedding anniversary and wanted to find a nice restaurant, La mesa came high on the Reviews and some times you have to take TripAdvisor with a 'Pinch of Salt ', I looked deeper into the internet and found some food critic who gave excellent reviews so had no hesitance in booking...... and we were not disappointed! This is a small and cosy restaurant, ideal for couples, a small group of friends or a business dinner. A 6 course taster menu (only option and changes every night) prepared to the quality most people dream of and only see on TV, and all for a modest set price. neighbouring tables had allergies or food preferences and this was also covered for! Don 't ask me what ingredients and herbs and spices accompanied the courses, that is explained as it was served, but I can tell you that we had a Spicy Chicken Soup, Buffalo Mozzarella on a bed of Seaweed, a large Pork meatball, Giant Prawns on a bed of Risotto, Slow cooked Lamb with a truffle mash and a creamy sugar glazed dessert. Washed down with a couple of bottles of Rioja and a Spanish liqueur compliments of La Mesa! I would 100% recommend La Mesa, fantastic food, great atmosphere, warm, welcoming and attentive staff, great wine and I love the open 'not a show kitchen ' but a creative kitchen! Booking a must and I believe 4-6 weeks in advance!"

"The Tzatziki tapas is really good. Stone baked bread is crispy outside and soft inside.Pork belly with honey and sesame seed taste sweet and crispy, if more moisture inside will be more wonderful. I will come again and try the rest of the menu.Staff are friendly and nice here"

"The food was delicious and the staff were fantastic. We had trouble finding our bed and breakfast, but the manager, Hev, went with us to locate it, helped us enter, and even offered to help carry our luggage. Everyone we encountered in Warwick was exceptionally kind and welcoming. Make sure to visit this exceptional restaurant for a meal."

"the place has a sporty feeling, so if they are looking for something funny, they go somewhere else. However, we were pleasantly surprised by the great selection of vegan options on the menu. We had to place the order on the bar, but the meals came very fast, within few minutes. we decided to try the Bao-Back with drawn jackfruits, and although they had to replace one of the ingredients as they ran out of it, it was delicious. the Butternuss-Quash mac cheese, on the other hand, had a mild taste and was quite averaged, but there are different dressings to choose to adapt it to their lust. just be careful, not all dressings on the table are vegan, they need to read the label. we come back safely and try other items from the menu, such as grilled vegan cheese or vegan breakfast."

"It is always great to find a place with a separate vegan menu. The restaurant is very nice and the staff friendly. The food is good. It would be nice if there was a tofu option on dishes and not just vegetables. They happily adjusted dishes to suit personal preferences."

"Of all of the local eateries in the surrounding area, the Punchbowl is always the most consistent, serving an array of beautiful dishes to the same high standard. The Sunday lunches are really good too the chateaubriand is amazing (but so is the pork, chicken and beef! We never struggle to find something on the menu that isn’t a win.. Whenever we have friends over from the USA or visiting from down south the first question they always ask is ‘are we going to the Punch?… We enjoy going out to eat, and here we know that the food will be amazing, the staff are so incredible and the service is always great and being honest, there isn’t any real competition, it blows everywhere else out of the water! It has a lovely ambience, struggling to say anything other than I can’t recommend this place highly enough! Keep doing what you’re doing…"

"I don't usually leave any reviews, but this place was so wonderful that I just had to. the service was absolutely phenomenal. the 2 ladies were so friendly, polite and helpful. the drinks were amazing and there was a lot of drink in the cocktails against other restaurants where they serve in tiny tassen. the food was so delicious (we had the mixed shaders) and the churros were the best we ever had. we couldn't believe how good the price level was. the atmosphere was amazing and we had such a relaxed, fantastic night. this is one of the best restaurants I have visited and we will definitely be back."

"A truly painful experience. Waited over an hour for food with people who came in after us being served before us as our waitress obviously forgot to put the order through. Got sat next to the door on a chilly day whilst large groups of teenagers were in and out constantly vaping/smoking leaving the door open. Had to get up to close it all the time; luckily a family was sat next to us who tagged in with the door closing. It seemed tables just drinking were prioritised over people ordering food. And when we finally got our food I found a bit of metal Brillo pad/scourer in the chips. A restaurant run by children for children to get drunk on cheap cocktails, definitely not somewhere to go for dinner."

"My new favorite roast dinner in Leamington! Save your money and come here for a delightful Sunday roast. Prices are brilliant. Around £12 for a small roast dinner (which was plenty big enough) where you get the freshest ingredients and tender meat. The starters are awesome too we definitely recommend the spam fritters! The service is what really does it for me though here every member of staff is on their game and determined for you to have a great experience. It really shows! Little wait time and they rarely run out of ingredients. Much better than wasting money at places like Star and Garter where you wait for hours and they never have the food you ordered!!"

"My far my favourite restaurant, again just another great evening at Tasca Dali, our friends from Poland who had come to visit where blown away by the delicious food, the attention to detail and as always the incredible service, all the guys there go above...and beyond for everyone with so much knowledge about the food we are having. The secret menu is ever changing and never disappoints. As always an amazing and fantastic experience, can not wait until next time. Thank you for being so accommodating and making our party of 5 feel like we had the best evening. Can no recommend this restaurant highly enough. A must visit establishment."

"Six family members went for Sunday lunch and all ordered the roast pork with an addition of three cauliflower cheese. Really tasty food, well presented and most friendly service. The pork was served with crackling, apple sauce and a crispy Yorkshire, the only thing that could improve it would be some stuffing. An excellent meal, the first we gad been to Pomeroys but it won't be the last, highly recommended!"

"So happy to have found a relatively local pub that does a great vegan Sunday roast. There is a choice of seitan or nut roast or alternatively pies. The choice when we were there was sausage and onion or mushroom and guinness pie. You can add cauliflower cheese and Yorkshire pudding to the roast and choose a smaller portion which by the time you have added all the vegetables was more than sufficient. If you don't want a full dinner then there is a seitan Sunday batch. Three pudding options of apple crumble, ginger sponge pudding and chocolate nut brownie. We will definitely be back. The food was great and the staff were so friendly and helpful and made sure they only brought out vegan options."

"Visited recently on a Monday night. The place was deserted, maybe because of the fact that it was s bank holiday. The place has a really nice ambiance with very placed lights that give it a warm and welcoming effect. The food options are plenty and the restaurant serves almost all the dishes served in any Indian restaurant in the UK. The drink options can be improved though, especially when it comes to beers as it only serves 3 or 4 types. Lastly, their service is nice and everything was served promptly. We went for a biryani which was well made. Special shout out to their pappadams, which were fresh and the accompaniments were very delectable too."

"This restaurant lived up to its reputation. Service was attentive and the atmosphere slightly magical, adorned with internal flowers and fairy lights. Not in the least bit kitsch. It puts me in mind of 2 excellent restaurants I have visited: Clos Maggiore in London and the restaurant at La Sirenuse in Positano. The food is traditional Italian and authentic when it arrives. My partner started with Fried chicken livers in a Madeira Sauce. Delicious. I had Buffala Mozzarella wrapped in Parma Ham. Also delicious. Mains were a traditional tagliatelle for me and a fillet of beef in a creamy sauce for my Partner who didn’t enjoy the fillet as much as I enjoyed the tagliatelle.Overall though a lovely experience and an encouragement to return to this beautiful part of the world. Grazie."

"The restaurant offers an excellent special with a light batter upon request. The fish (I had plaice) was fresh and tasty, and the chips were crispy and chunky. All four of us agreed that it was the best fish and chip shop in the area. However, we were disappointed to discover at the end of the meal that they do not accept cards. This was not mentioned on their website or flyers, and even if you typically carry a card reader for online payments, you would not have been able to use it. Chip Shed, please provide better communication about your payment options."
"My wife and I are regular diners here and often joined by family members. The food is excellent, the service commendable with welcoming and friendly waiters. Unfortunately, our last visit was disappointing. I ordered a large glass of Merlot which is my favourite tipple. However, on this occasion there was clearly an issue with the wine which had a slight brownish tint and tasted spoiled. I asked for it to be replaced. If this was to be conducted in a professional manner the waiter would have brought an unopened bottle and a clean glass to the table. Instead, the waiter returned with a full glass. I tasted the wine and was convinced it was either the same glass of wine or was replaced by wine from the same bottle. Nevertheless, I decided not to pursue the issue. When the bill arrived it appeared higher than was usual. Once again I decided not to query it but thought I would check the bill at home. This was thwarted by the waiter picking the bill up and slipping it into his pocket as we said our farewells. I was later able to do the calculations and confirm we were overcharged by the equivalent of an additional large glass of wine! And we had left a generous tip! We won’t be hurrying back."

"came here at a Sunday dinner. it's quite a lot of space, so although it was really busy, we have a table without booking. the seat is quite close to each other so that it is a bit tight when he is busy and the acupuncture is not great. the service was good. our order was taken quickly. the menu options are great and offer something else. the food was fresh and really delicious. the black garlic hummus with posing eggs was amazing. everything I saw coming out of the kitchen looked great. the coffee was also beautiful. definitely worth a visit and if I lived closer, I would certainly be back and forth."

"I dinned here yesterday with my husband and daughter, we had the table by the open street which was perfect to “watch the world go by” on such a beautiful sunny day. I must say the food was spectacular, in fact I had the best soup I’ve ever tasted. My daughter had the “lunch box” which was excellent value for money and my husband had the fish. Staff were friendly and attentive to our needs. So, an all round wonderful experience and one which we will be reliving very soon. Thanks for a lovely afternoon."

"Went on a cold Saturday night, was the 5th visit and it put me off for life which is a shame as I've always thought I this place as a great. Table booked for 715, arrived at 7 for a drink which took an age as the waiter didn't know how to make our drinks, we, weren't seated until 730 when the restaurant wasn't busy. The wine we wanted wasn't available, was advIsed on another more expensive but couldn't have it at original wines price. Starters came, partners scallops were not cold but not hot, the acompanying squid was hot so maybe a kitchen timing problem? Service delay?? My pidgeon came out hit but slightly over done. Mains were fantastic but again came warm not hot!? It was a snowy...read more"
