"Here is a detailed review. I like indian/pak foods and frequently visit different similar restaurants. I had high expectations from the place but felt extreme disappointment. Here are some of the reasons: -Prices were too high and it could be fine considering the location but taste doesn’t reflect the price at all. Definitely 2/5 in pricing when compare to taste. -Environment was just okay 3/5 but didn’t feel really welcoming feeling. -The worst thing about the place was the quantity of the food they serve and that is 1/5. My bill was nearly £50 and that was for the food and we were two people only (me and my wife). We both usually get full in normal portions and always have to pack the remaining food whenever we go but this time we came back and had another dinner from home. -Taste was just okay for me personally 3/5 but there are restaurants offering far better taste, better prices and better quantity. -Staff was fine and helpful so 4/5 for that."

"Well where to start we were a family group of 9, 5 adults and 4 children from 2-7 years of age. We wanted to book a table for 7pm for an evening meal but was told it would have to be 6:30 as the restaurant was busy later not surprising as it was easter weekend. We came in for 6:30 but the girl who was seating people started to ask if we had booked and then the phone rang and said she had to answer it and ignored us for the next 5 minutes then she hung up and said derogatory coments about the person on the other end of the phone. Then she could not find our booking which we had paid for in advance but finaly got seated at 7 pm our order for drinks and food were taken in reasonable time but we had to wait for over 15 minutes for the drinks to arrive and over 30 minutes for our starters to arrive the mains took another 30 minutes after we had finished our starters and the children were getting restless and tired the mains finaly arrived and of the 5 adult meals only 1 was edible and 1 child meal was forgoten completly and had to be asked for again. After being in the being in the restaurant for over 2 hours we still had not recived our desserts and the childen were so tired we had to leave I complained to the person in charge who did not even have the grace to reply or apologise and we were never asked if our meals were ok. We thought breakfast could not possibly be as bad but how wrong were we. Once again we had to wait for over 30 minutes to be seated even though there were plenty of free tables just no staff to clear or reset them only 1 young lad who was running around like a headless chicken trying to do his best for just over £5 per hour he was a credit to an otherwise disgrafull restaurant . It was a buffy style breakfast help yourself but most things were never avaliable at the same time and shortage of plates bowls spoons etc. Needless to say we will never use this restaurant again its the worst I have ever been in."

"a light lack of atmosphere (on Tuesday night) sets the excellent experience they will have here. we had a fantastic evening with first-class service throughout, friendly and scientific waiting staff and excellent eating. the menu is not their conventional curry house, but there are some recognizable dishes on there as well as a lot of really interesting, innovative. my friend had the lobster that looked incredible, and I had a lamb dish that was also very good (although not so impressive to see everything tasted good, and most of it was excellent. I will pass the rice sampler plate next time, because the aromen were not for me, but all sides were just a cut over what they would normally expect. the main dishes are referred to on the menu as gravys, which in the round is only meat (or fish) in the soße natural. there are many starters to choose from. perhaps surprising (on good wise) was that they actually got a small selection of Indians like the gulab jalum (which I had and was a kind of super sweet donut in a sweet syrup sauce) instead of the usual terrible frozen müll they in most curry homes. I have the impression that artisancy was a little closer to real Indian food when we had it before. would recommend it and will definitely go back there."

"Absolutely superb food and service! Visited on Father's Day without a booking and was able to get a table. Staff were very friendly and attentive. We ordered fishcakes to start which was delicious and came with a spicy mayo. For mains my husband had the lamb roast and I chose the double cooked pork with crackling. We were very happy with both meals, they tasted great and looked great. We were stuffed at the end of the meal. We will definitely be coming here again as our local. Thank you to the staff who made us feel welcome"

"We booked a table at cafe rouge as we had tickets for the theatre nearby. We go to cafe rouge on a regular basis and this was our worst experience by far. The venue itself was nice, lots of glass windows and the usual cafe rouge decor. We ordered bread and olives to start, which were great, but we had issues with the main and pudding courses. We had both ordered steaks to be cooked medium, but when they arrived one was perfect and the other was very well done. They replaced it without a fuss however my partner had finished her meal before my replacement arrived. The replacement was good, but there was no reflection in the bill that we had come out for a meal together and ended up eating alone. We ordered pudding, creme brûlée and chocolate fondant. The chocolate fondant was nothing special, a little dry, but the creme brûlée was awful. The crunchy top had not been made by putting on sugar and then caramelising it; instead they had made caramel in a pan and poured it on. This made it very thick and hard to eat and rather unenjoyable. The service was okay, but we felt the manager was rather inappropriately dressed in a short skirt and sparkly trainers!"

"Despite storm Ciara outside, Zizi's in Woking provided an excellent and memorable birthday party for our eldest daughter. Aimen and his staff worked their magic to ensure all the children had a great time making pizzas. Aimen organized the children, got them dressed in hats and aprons, and guided them through the pizza making process. The parents were able to relax with a coffee while the children were entertained. The service was exceptional, with Aimen teaching the children how to make pizza dough and engaging them in a quiz. The children enjoyed their pizzas and cake, with Aimen ensuring everything ran smoothly. The whole experience was well-managed and the children were well taken care of. Aimen and his team were attentive to our needs and made sure everyone had a great time. Our daughter has already asked to have her party at Zizi's again next year. Thank you to Aimen and the team at Zizi's Woking for a wonderful experience."

"Having never been to Woking before this restaurant looked lovely as did the menu. When I arrived however it was not as I had imagined. It was like a 1960's diner rather than a steakhouse and although the menu had a great range of choice, when the food came up I was disappointed considering the cost. The drinks were also a poor quality. I ordered a fruity cocktail and was basically presented with tropical juice from a carton with added alcohol, which i couldn't taste due to the sweetness of the juice and the accompanying shot of prosecco was flat. The service was friendly but disjointed and we were initially offered 241 cocktails and then the offer was rescinded as it was a weekend. All in all not a great experience and not somewhere I would go back to."

"las iguanas is a great restaurant for an authentic and realistic taste of Mexican cuisine. the chicken burrito that I had was extremely good and with the wuntu las iguanas code (only available for 3 mobile customers) that makes it one of the most favorable calculations they can get. £3 a burrito pro customer, that's a lot. the service was great, kylie made everything seamless and very beautiful meal."

"Great little find in Surrey. We were visiting the area in August to collect an award, at a nearby Hotel, and decided to venture away from the venue to have lunch as a team. We were so happy that we chose here as the service and food was amazing. We love supporting small restaurants like this, over big chains. There were four of us in our party, and we enjoyed bread and olives to start, then we had pizza, lasagna, carbonara and pasta as our main dishes, with salad, chips and garlic bread to share. With drinks each as well we were pleasantly surprised with the total of the bill as well coming in at £91.00. I can highly recommend this restaurant, and being a restaurant owner myself, it was lovely to receive a great service as well as tasty, filling food as well. If I’m ever in the area again, I will definitely pop back in again. Thank you"

"while we visit the opposite, we decided to try the local golf club. after playing what a scenic curs with admittedly poor to sandy greens due to the cursor care (which was not specified at the time of online booking). After we finished our round, we immediately flew it hot on the bargrill. at the arrival we asked if the kitchen is still open. unfortunately we were told that the kitchen was just closed. it was 19:55 clock. there were obviously still food orders with other workers? When we asked the bar to order our beer, we were told that it was only table service. So we went and sat outside. when no one wanted to serve us, we approached the bar again to ask who would serve us only to say that tischservice is available only for the inner part of the bar and we had to download an app that should be served outside?! while another golfer asked the bar staff, ordered a beer at the bar? thought it was just table service? a rule for one. when we repositioned to get table service, we were served immediately. hallelujah. we then continued to order remaining castors that were displayed in their Deli counter. one of us has ordered their roll hot! lo and behold, all sausage rolls were served cold. on the plus side the table was very nice."

"Visited on a sunny Saturday afternoon on bank holiday weekend. Really busy. But managed to find a table outside. It’s drinks outside only. Bizarre que as if waiting in supermarket to order drinks from bar. It keeps the bar clutter free of customers. But other customers didn’t adhere to que. And staff were quite happy to serve them in priority to people who had been queing. Made a dinner reservation in person. As website stated fully booked. Arrived to half empty restaurant at 19:30. Google review stated restaurant closed at 21:00. Staff denied that stating normal pub closing time. But kitchen closes at 20:00. Overall nice meal. Friendly service. And speedy food. Downside was very limited menu. I would visit again. As beautiful location beside canal."

"I have been into this café several times recently and although the food is ok, the staff are so hectic and frantically tripping over each other. Instead of each having one job to do, the owner barks different orders at the other staff so they are doubling up on their work all the time which leads to much confusion! The café is far from relaxing for a coffee and sarnie! Yesterday l went in there and they prepared my sandwich using their bare, unwashed hands! ; The man serving had just handled money too. I had an issue with uncooked chicken months ago here and when l raised it with the owner, she was so loud and embarrassing when l was trying to be discreet and mention it. Today l couldn't face another indiscreet conversion. I wish l had said something but l am being your typical Brit and hiding behind my computer!"

"Ordered 2 Big Macs with fries. The order after with 2 Big Macs came first even after we waited over 15 minutes. When challenged I was told that the reason the order took so long was because they were waiting for fries to cook. When I said that was ridiculous as fries take a maximum of 6 minutes (been working in hospitality for 7 years) the exceptionally snarky Mr. Woodward openly admitted that with their fryers it only takes 3 minutes to cook fries. I can only assume they therefore waited 12 minutes after the order before dropping the fries. I was then told the reason it took so long was due to breakfast changeover despite the fact that we were the last order to be prepared for any customers. Clearly the management have no clue whatsoever how to ensure the smooth operation and prioritisation of food service, as more interest was taken in preparing food for nonexistent customers who may or may not come in later than ones who have already paid. Most other reviews say this is worse than any other McDonalds they have ever visited and I wholeheartedly agree. Currently rated less than 3 stars average, but I think 1 would be generous."

"We visited this charming restaurant near the train station while staying in the area overnight. Its exterior may not be impressive, but once inside, the food is exceptional. We tried a set menu with crispy aromatic duck, sweet-and-sour chicken, Hong Kong-style beef with spring onions and ginger, and special fried rice. We also added crispy prawn dumplings and chicken satay skewers. Despite the distance from our home, we are confident this will become our favorite Chinese restaurant. The prices are great, and you can bring your own drinks for a small corkage fee. We will definitely return soon."

"I had an hour to kill between connecting trains and am so glad I did. The service was polite, friendly and quiet. Never watching you or interrupting but always there when needed. I was never a fan of tofu until I ate here. The satay starter is a winner, the Pad Thai as good as you will find anywhere and the Thai tea ice cream is a great experience that works really well. Presentation and ambience were perfect. I left really happy and relaxed and can definitely see a return visit next time I am in Woking."

"I came here on Wednesday afternoon and despite the fact it was well past lunchtime, the place was still packed. If I hadn't just nailed a pizza, I could easily have buried my face in one of the delightful cakes displayed at the counter, but instead, I amused myself with a coffee or two. I started with a double espresso and finished with a black coffee. What?! I hadn't had my morning coffee fix! It's no surprise that the coffee was rich and deliciously deep in flavour because at Patisserie Valerie, they serve Illy coffee, which as far as I'm concerned, is the best brand going. I was a little envious of those at the table next to me as they tucked into their chocolate muffin and...read more"

"My elderly parents were visiting from Lincolnshire for the weekend and before driving them back we decided very last minute to have a Sunday roast. Living in Weybridge we checked all the local riverside spots to no avail. My partner works in a building opposite The Crown and frequents The Crown on many occasions when clients are visiting, staff birthdays etc, so suggested we try there. They had space at noon (not always a good sign) but we booked anyway. Realising we hadnt mentioned bringing the dog, and wanting to make it half hour later, I rang to double check. The young lady I spoke to was extremely polite and confirmed the changes (and that dogs were very welcome). Upon arrival we found our table but as it was such a nice day we asked if we could go outside. Again no problem at all. I dont know if the menu has changed since some of the previous reviews but we found it to be so good that the hardest part of the whole experience was choosing from the delicious meals on offer. It is not the cheapest food but it is worth every single penny. The staff were polite and attentive (but not intrusive). We were offered condiments, asked how our meals were and had several lovely conversations regarding our Viszla Monty, who's favourite snack is carrots. much to our delight our waiter appeared with a selection of cooked and raw carrots, compliments of the chef! This was a lovely touch. We were so impressed with the whole experience that I think we shall be making The Crown our favoured spot for Sunday lunch from now on. Thank you for going above and beyond and making our four legged friend so welcome"

"I was in a food hall last weekend, I want to write first of all about the rude waiters, who waited 20 minutes to come to the table where I was sitting, when the waiter came to me, he had a very indifferent face, in front of which I decided to take the tray, when I came to the table on which the trays were standing, the first tray I got was dirty, after that I saw a girl who, as I understood, works there and decided to ask her why the tray was dirty, since I understood that the girl does not speak English well, but no looking at this, the girl was very polite, unlike the waiters, I wanted to get to know her better, but she did not understand English, and as I understood, she did not have time to get to know her. Coming to the food, the hot is very good but the chicken is dry, I also liked the sweet pastry, I got the shortbread which goes really well with the coffee. I think I will visit Wisley Garden again in the spring, but when I do I will come to the Food Hall again, I hope you will correct the mistakes I have posted here."
