"I was pleasantly surprised by the separate vegetarian menu at this restaurant, which made ordering easy. I started with some salt and vinegar-peeled vegetable croquettes, followed by a delicious vegetarian tart. My companion enjoyed the linguine. The starter and tart were both very enjoyable. While the dessert options sounded appealing, we decided to pass. Overall, we had a good experience and would recommend it for a casual dining option."

"We approached the restaurant to see from the window that no one was inside which was worrying. I was put off and contemplated finding another restaurant. Called to ask if they was even open and turns out you have to enter and go downstairs. First impression wasn't great. Service was okay and the restaurant looked nice. I ordered the Fillet medium rare, what came was not medium rare but more medium well done, my wife ordered the chicken which was lovely. I was offered a replacement but I didn't want to wait whilst my wife had eaten her food."

"This pub is located at the end of Old Amersham, and the lady at the bar was very friendly and welcoming. There were plenty of seating options, and when the sun is shining, the pub garden is a lovely place to relax. The food we ordered—a chicken sandwich—was decent. However, I had requested the chicken without breadcrumbs, and it came with them instead (there were two versions available). I didn’t mention it at the time."

"We reserved a table for four at 8:00 PM and arrived 10 minutes early. Upon arrival, we were informed that our table wasn’t quite ready and were asked to wait at the bar with a drink until it was prepared. After waiting for 15 minutes, we checked with the manager about our table, and he told us it would be ready in a few minutes. Another 10 minutes passed, and we approached him again, only to hear that he couldn't do anything to expedite the situation since the guests at our table hadn’t finished. He was quite rude and did not apologize for the delay. At 8:25 PM, after waiting long enough, we decided to leave, and suddenly our table was ready. Once seated, we were asked if we wanted more drinks, and then our order was taken. However, no offer was made for a complimentary round of drinks to make up for the inconvenience. Our appetizers arrived within 20 minutes, immediately followed by our main courses. Three of us ordered steaks, which were bland and the peppercorn sauce lacked any actual peppercorns. When the staff checked in with us about the meal, we mentioned the flavorless steaks and sauce, only to be met with a rude response saying that we should have brought it up earlier. The young lady who presented us with the bill was very polite and friendly, and the manager could learn a thing or two from her. Overall, we were dissatisfied with the service and food, and we will not be returning to this restaurant."

"Salsa! is probably my favourite Latin American restaurant in the centre of London as their excellent cocktails, fantastic food and enchanting salsa rhythms are more than enough to get you marching to their beat. The bar and restaurant can be found underground via an aged wooden staircase. The walls are teaming with Latin American memorabilia and the rustic wooden decor makes you feel like you’ve been transported to a salsa bar in the heart of Spain. "First visit, while visiting the area, specifically to see a football match. Had pre-booked a table and was allocated a booth with our own screen, giving an uninterrupted view of the game. We didn't eat so can't comment on the food although the menu looked tempting. The beer was good though. Friendly staff and good atmosphere made for an enjoyable visit. "Unfortunately the Sunday menu has shrunk yet again only choice of beef or pork now if wanting a roast lunch, Food arrived in a timely manner but lukewarm. Terrible issue with flies not enjoyable having to keep swatting them away from Food and drinks. Service charge added to bill ...why , it should be customers choice to tip, not to be made to feel uncomfortable if you don't Want to. Tipping used to be because it was poorly paid, minimum wage changed that, I did ask if the servers got the tip and they do and the server said they work hard so deserve it, ummm they are being paid to work hard. Seems to have had a big change of staff, unfortunately put of going again."

"Today, my aunt and I visited this restaurant. It was our first time seeing each other since lockdown, so we thought it would be nice to go out for lunch. Unfortunately, we were very disappointed with our experience. We arrived at 11:55am and there were only two other tables of two already seated. We gave our names for track and trace, got shown to our table, and then waited for someone to come take our order for about 15-20 minutes. For starters, my aunt had pate and I had garlic mushrooms, which took 35-40 minutes to arrive. We then waited for our mains – scampi for my aunt and chicken curry for myself. After nearly 50 minutes of waiting, I asked how much longer it would be, only to be told another 15-20 minutes. In the meantime, a table of four were seated and immediately served with pizzas and burgers. When I inquired why they were served so quickly, I was told it was because they skipped starters. The couple next to us were still waiting for their food. Frustrated, my aunt and I decided to cancel our mains. To our surprise, they still charged us for the starters and drinks. Needless to say, we will not be returning to this restaurant."

"Without a booking, the restaurant was able to offer us a walk-in table on a Saturday night. That was impressive. We had been told about The Tannin Level by friends who praised it highly. We were not disappointed. Our starters (scallops for me and black pudding for she) were delicious. For mains, I had slow cooked lamb which was superb and Pat raved about her Trio of Pork (oddly named, because it was actually a Duo). Accompanied by very nice Sauvignon Blanc and Pinot Noir from the “by the glass” selection. No room left for desserts so we just finished with coffee. We will be back."

"We arrived in good time for our reservation having traveled up from London. Our table had a window view of the canal and tow path. Our waiter was friendly and was able to give us information on our choice of dishes. Our starters were quite good although the prawns were smothered in too much sauce which made for rather messy eating. Our main dishes were traditional British fare and included the Fish and Chips with mushy peas which were good and served in good time. The evening went well as the restaurant section of the pub filled up and this lead to a nice ambiance. The bill for four was quite reasonable considering we enjoyed two bottles of their New Zealand Sauvignon Blanc. We would certainly go back when we are in Birmingham again."
