"The staff was excellent, and the wine and whiskey were quite good. However, the food was just average. I started with the pigeon; the menu mentioned breast and wing, so I expected one of each, but I received four wings that were tough and had so little meat that they wouldn’t have satisfied a pigeon, especially for £14. On the plus side, the black pudding was enjoyable. The main courses were alright, but nothing worth raving about."

"Arrived on time..was told didn't know that we had booked afternoon tea..as booking via Fork does not tell them it's for Afternoon tea. Told iy would take 20 minutes to prepare it all. Gave a small dessert to have before main food arrived. Savoury food was disappointing..half a bagel and half a sandwich and small 2 pieces of focaccia. 2 small scones one fruit one plan. A small selection of cakes. And tea. Tables seemed very close together and your time given to have your afternoon tea was one and a half hours. But they did let us stay longer ."

"the food in the East Sea was good. while the complete menu was in the offer, we used the very reasonable Sunday brunch menu. this included a brilliant **** mary. the personal was friendly and we really enjoyed our time there."

"Good to see Baltic back. They were obviously busier than they expected to be and service was largely too rushed and stressed to be welcoming. Noise level high as the restaurant was busy with groups celebrating something. But good to feel a buzz. Food came well timed and well presented and with all Baltic's trademark Eastern European influences. They do need to fix the Covid warning sign at the front door which doesn't tell you to go through to the restaurant. So you stand there for ages waiting to be fetched as in every other restaurant you go to. Meanwhile the bar staff are a bit too cool to walk over and help out and tell you to walk through to the restaurant area. Three of them walked right past us without saying anything. Overall we won't be rushing back until they've sorted themselves out a bit"

"Abysmal. We came for breakfast at 10 am and restaurant was 80% empty but waitress forced us to sit at a small table next to a solo diner working on a group phone call. Waitress claimed that all the other tables were booked. Breakfast toast...came but it was cold. Omelet came and it was acceptable, hot and fresh, but without the accompanying chips. We asked for the chips and the waitress said that those had to be ordered separately and that there is an additional charge. The menu didn’t reflect that, but she insisted that they had changed the menu so that now there is an additional charge. The orange juice, indicated on the menu as fresh, was boxed. We asked about the freshly juiced drinks, the orange and carrot or the apple, orange and carrot, and the waitress said that those were half boxed/half fresh, despite the menu description of “fresh juiced”. As we left, we commented on all the empty tables we were denied and the waitress said that those patrons went next door instead( All in all, very expensive, very rude. We certainly will not return."

"Our experience at 12th Knot was awful. We had made a reservation through OpenTable, but upon arrival, the restaurant claimed they couldn't find it. We were instructed to check with the concierge upstairs. Unfortunately, the security guard seemed to signal to the woman at the door not to let us in, possibly due to our casual attire. Despite showing our reservation on the app, we were still turned away. We left feeling embarrassed and our evening was ruined. We were extremely disappointed by the judgmental treatment we received and have no intention of returning."

"Everything about our meal in La Brasserie was perfect. The location was elegant, the staff were attentive and charming, the food was delicious. We had two different appetizers (the pork cheek and the duck confit) and both were excellent. We both had the same entree, the bouillabaisse, which was not at all the traditional fish soup dish we expected, but rather a modern deconstructed version, still delicious and with greater eye appeal. Sadly, we were too full for dessert! Thank you Sofitel."

"Very good vegetarian tapas. The figs with goat cheese were the best product and would recommend it. In the second round we are the olives and Manchego, Potatas Bravas and Tortilla (Omelett) were all high quality. Bread with oil and balsamico was good, the balsamika was very rich and tasty. And finally, the cousin with roasted veg would have seasoned a little more on the veg. All washed with a jug of beautiful Sangria. Given the price I think it is a very rewarding risk. Also friendly staff. I would recommend and would go again (even if only for figs and goat cheese)"

"This restaurant should be so much busier! It is great value compared to the chain restaurants in town. The decor is stylish, the staff are very friendly, the menu is great. I had duck breast with duck scotch egg and fondant potato, with side dishes of red cabbage (deliciously sweet and tart at the same time) and carrots with savoy cabbage, beans and broccoli. The scotch egg was so good, perfectly seasoned, runny vivid yolk. The duck breast wasn’t too rare or over cooked, so good. Then chocolate fudge cake with black cherries and ice cream, good combination! The fudge cake could have been a bit richer, gooey-er, but the cherries, sauce and ice cream made it 9/10. Generous cheese board too, no stingy slithers of cheese. Good plum chutney. About £90 for 2 courses for 2 with 2 drinks each."

"I was here on a date. we asked if we could have drinks at the bar and the manager said yes, while we noticed a table in the restaurant area at the bar and asked a waiter if we were sitting there and. the menu. he said yes, we wanted to order dinner when the manager came and told us we had to go. the table was not reserved as we asked the waiter. After he refused to give an explanation why we could not sit there and order food, he took our drinks and returned them to the bar. not only was this humiliating, but completely unreliable. the manager insulted me when we went out after he refused to give a real explanation for his actions. Maybe he doesn't like black people or gay people or train his staff not right. or maybe all three? here's a photo, if you see him, can you find out?"

"It was convenient for me to eat at the Brasserie as I was staying at the hotel. My daughter joined me for dinner and, luckily, we were able to laugh at the time it took to be served. The waiter explained that they had a buffet for happening at the same time so we made allowances. However, we had to remind the waiter that we had ordered wine. We waited at least half an hour for our food and then our plates were removed before we had actually finished. We had to ask for a sweet menu. Having ordered pancakes, we then had to wait another half an hour for these to arrive. It was fortunate that my daughter’s last train was midnight"

"We didn 't feel The Brasserie offered much variety. We arrived to be told that the Asian menu wasn 't available that day, leaving very limited menu choices especially if you wanted to be healthy. My steak and chips was fine but my wife ordered the 'superfood salad ', which transpired to be a huge bowl of spinach with a tiny bit of rice, three slices of avocado and a tiny bit of quinoa. Very disappointing for £13. The service was pretty good, but there wasn 't much of an atmosphere and we didn 't feel it represented good value for money, even for central London."

"Food was good, but unfortunately the service was not. Started well, but how too often after we had served our main meal, everything went out of the window! I don't think we were ignored, but basically no waiter stopped an eye where we were at our meal, and so we had to constantly attract the attention of the staff first to get the dessert menu, and then order and then receive. We then had an indispensable wait for coffee (which they are too flat white are not Americans). The food was good when we got it, but not up to fine food in the long term."

"Located inside the Intercontinental Hotel on George Street, this restaurant serves as a breakfast lounge, bar, and dining room. The name of the restaurant is a nod to its history as a printing press. The decor has a slightly dated feel, with dark and dim lighting and retro light fixtures. The drinks menu features cocktails named after famous people and their preferred drinks. However, the food menu is average and uninspired, feeling like it belongs to another era. The dishes themselves fell short of expectations, with the cod appearing undercooked and the accompanying side dish being cold. The charcuterie board also failed to impress. With so many other excellent dining options in Edinburgh, I will not be returning to this restaurant."

"we had a great evening in their restaurant! we came in without booking, and there were 8 of us at one of the evenings. the spicy margaret was just one of the best cocktails we need to order most. the cocktails taste fabulous! one of my friends has several allergens. it is not good to eat, and most of the food she cannot eat. a blonde lady took our job, and I told her I had several allergens. an Asian lady knows my allergens. she went beyond and beyond to make sure I had something to eat. she almost makes me cry because she cares about my allergens. thanks for a fabulous evening. the Asian dame and all the workers make our evening just as good as her. We will be back for more cocktails. we love this place and you are the best!"

"THE Most Authentic Italian Restaurant in Bath, period. The food is exquisitely made presented, tastes divine, and can be paired with true Italian wines, specifically imported to complete the authentic Italian dining experience. Menu selections include inspired dishes from the home country , presenting some unknown in the West , departing from generic spaghetti lasagne pizza to introduce restaurant guests to a few secrets mysteries of Italy and its most colourful and certainly delicious! cuisine. Contributing to the authenticity is the Italian management staff, who are all polite and bring an excellence professionalism of service, even with the occasional hesitancy in English which, in fact, only contributes to the suspension of disbelief that allows one to imagine they 've been transported to Italy, where every meal is a journey to yet another lesser known town otherwise famed amongst Italians for its succulent secrets... Over the past several years, I 've had the great pleasure to return to Ponte Vecchio a handful of times to enjoy a meal, each time a different dish. After my most recent dining excursion , I 'm pleased to have discovered there 's yet another refresh of the menu soon to come, which means more delights on my next major visit. Ponte Vecchio IS the quintessential destination for special occasion fine Italian dining in Bath, well suited for intimate group celebrations as well as important date nights , being close enough to Bath for convenience, yet removed just enough from the hustle bustle of the town centre. Its location by the weir adds to its romantic ambience, allowing for a lovely after dinner walk.. For the BEST, and most Authentic, Italian dining experience in Bath, make it Ponte Vecchio a trip to Italy is waiting to be had! Questi giorni quando vieni il belle sole.. Literally These days when comes 'when we get ' the beautiful sun.. ;"

"Pretty disappointed My partner and I visited Zaragoza for our New Year’s Eve dinner. I made a reservation with the understanding that a set menu was in place, however when we arrived and seated at a tiny table far too close to other diners for comfort, we were told that as there were only two of we could only order fro. The everyday menu. The service was slow and our waiter did not seem to understand what he was doing. We waited far too long for our drinks to arrive and when they did our drinks menu was taken away. When our food finally arrived it was mediocre, the paella was bland and the potatoes were not fresh. Although the meatballs were good. Cocktails and food is very overpriced for what you are getting and the service was terrible. The only highlight of the evening was seeing another couple get engaged."
