"Unfortunately cocktails and Prosecco was not an option, but I saw people ordering them when our two hours was up. How can a bar not have these essential available all the time? We arrived at 2pm on a Sunday, not sure if they sold out or what. Also waited a long time for food and drinks, had to follow up with waiters."

"Food was good, service was efficient. The restaurant offered 30% discount, so this made it affordable, otherwise, it is quite pricey compared to similar restaurants in nearby edgware road. Its was a bit distracting around 830 pm when they start to shut down the restaurant, moving tables, etc, so that you can no longer have a conversation due to the noise. perhaps this only happens on Monday night?"

"We have stayed at the Kimberley hotel several times but I was not as impressed this time with the food. Our booking deal included a 2 course meal on the first night. My husband chose battered cod and I had the filleted fish. The battered fish was served lying on top of the chips which had been arranged in a row. He found the batter quite oily/greasy which he did not eat but consequently that had left the chips underneath soggy. My fish was nicely cooked. I was also upset to see that several of the courses had a supplement and therefore not offered in the choices unless an extra cost was incurred which further limited the already limited menu. The wine was also very pricey. I felt the £49 for 2 people sounded a good deal which included a bottle of house wine although the house wine was not advertised as an option to purchase. We chose not to eat in the restaurant on the second night"

"The food arrived cold, and although they replaced it, the new burgers were only slightly warmer. We ended up waiting an additional 15 minutes for them. To their credit, we weren't charged for the burgers. However, my wife couldn't finish her burger and some fries, and she wanted to take them home. The staff refused to provide a takeaway container, so the food was left behind and likely wasted. This is outrageous, especially with so many hungry people in the UK."

"I absolutely love this restaurant. The tables are adorned with elegant linen tablecloths and napkins, which I appreciate. The decor is lovely and gives off a Mediterranean vibe. The food is delicious, and the staff is both friendly and professional. Although we don't dine here often, the owner always manages to make us feel special and remembered. I highly recommend this restaurant as a top choice for dining out."

"Staff and food were excellent. We had booked a table by the window, but when we arrived they were occupied. Staff came over and said one was nis empty and moved us. Delightful staff indeed. We use Rowley’s a lot and I had put down via Open Table that it was our wedding anniversary. We have always in the past been offered a free drink. Staff were obviously not made aware."

"Whenever I get the inclination to write a review it’s usually because it’s so good and I want to shout about my experience to everyone… however this is not my usual 5* recommendation! As locals we have visited this cafe on a few occasions for breakfast or a coffee stop. It’s a great location, nice decor, dog friendly and delicious food. What’s not to like? Well, the staff, or more specifically the owner! She lacks any customer service skills, she smiles through gritted teeth, orders her staff around while she stands observing (or waiting for an argument . Each time we’ve visited she’s had an issue with something. Once she argued with me because I asked for my latte to be served in a cup rather than a tall glass. She proceeded to try and educate me on coffee making (I’m barista trained ! She reluctantly gave me it to me in a mug with a jug of extra milk which wouldn’t fit into the mug anyway! More recently we arrived, it was quiet, and chose to sit in the window (the largest table as we had our dog and didn’t want him to be in the way. She rushed over and demanded we sat at another table because she “couldn’t afford for us to take up a larger table”. We moved without an issue but she was very confrontational (as always and made the rest of our dining experience uncomfortable. So uncomfortable in fact that despite being ravenous we almost didn’t order. The cafe remained quiet throughout our time there, plenty of empty tables and yet she proceeded to use the larger window table to accommodate her staff, herself and a friend who popped in. How is that fair? So my advice to you as a fellow catering/ hospitality manager is… Learn from your Trip Advisor feedback, Book yourself on a free customer service course and lead by example and if you are worried about costs reduce the number of staff. 5 staff on duty in a cafe that seats approx 25 people at full capacity is not needed. Maybe the owner should put her feet up at home and let the lovely younger people do their thing. They all look so nervous around her and are almost too afraid to speak. I’m sure they’d do a far better job without her monitoring their every move. Even the Chef (her husband maybe? looks petrified of her!! Certain people are not cut out for customer facing roles and she is one of them! I’m pretty sure she doesn’t read any of these reviews as she’s been like this since my first visit 5 years ago!! What a shame. This place could be a thriving business and a welcoming village cafe but I’m sure her confrontational attitude and unwelcoming nature put people off from returning. Such a shame as the food and coffee are delightful"

"We made a reservation through Open Table for a birthday dinner on Sunday evening. We received confirmations via text and email from Open Table. When we arrived at 7, we were informed that the kitchen was closed and they only serve roasts on Sundays. They also mentioned that they no longer use Open Table. I recommend booking directly through the Gatherers website. DO NOT USE OPEN TABLE for this restaurant, as you may not get a table. I will not depend on Open Table again."

"Most shocking service ever experienced from the bar and the restaurant, understaffed and nobody has a clue where anything is. Waited 20 minutes to be seated and drink order taken, looking around and the restaurant was quiet and nobody was getting service. After ordering drinks/food another 20 min later to be told there is no bottles of Sauvignon blanc wine and the other bottle they sent was wrong too. After 40+ minutes we decided to leave and get a taxi to a nearby restaurant. We told the manager of our experience before we left and he agreed that there is an internal problem going on with staff. Pity as the hotel itself is lovely but we won’t be back"

"This hidden gem on Gloucester Road was a delightful find. I visited with a friend for her Turkish breakfast, which was incredibly generous in portion size - we struggled to finish it between the two of us! We also indulged in some warm baklava for dessert, served with a side of ice cream. The passion fruit lemonade was a refreshing and perfect beverage choice. I will definitely be returning to this restaurant very soon for another visit."

"Had a good time with friends. I'll recommend you don't go with families as the music is really loud in doors. They have opted into the eat out to help out which helps cause their prices are quite expensive but the quality is good so you don't feel like you're eating any only Indian food They do halal options too which was good for my family. The chili paneer starter was OK, just a bit too chili not a fan. The gobi machurian was excellent, crispy battered sweet sauce. Excellent! They forgot our masala fries unfortunately! Had bhuna for mains and I enjoyed that with laccha paratha. Also tried the lamb chops, well cooked a d good flavour. Avoid the rosmery chicken unless you like bland flavours. Staff are a bit all over the place, the serving staff are separate from the greeting/payment staff. Some people just stand around and are not sure what they are doing besides some executive management. Seemed abit silly."

"Have literally just visited and loved it so much I've immediately come here to write a reciew. Hard work deserves recogniton. I've had a couple of awful visits to places really so what a pleasant surprise to arrive and be greeted by some of the most attentive staff I've experienced in a long time! Couldn't do enough to accommodate and make us feel welcome. Checked in regularly, so that we always had what we needed. Lovely venue, cool covered garden out back, perfect for a couple of drinks (highly recommend the spiced margaritas and some tacos (Taco Tuesdays is a good time to go! Can't wait to return!"

"Visit canceled. The dinner menu had changed, offering only snacks and light bites. Not all of the outdoor heating was functioning, but we were offered a table indoors. Since the venue had just reopened, this is likely just some teething issues. The service was a bit lacking, but the drinks were reasonably priced. The location is nice and has a pleasant ambiance."

"We initially thought the prices were high. We were disappointed when we ordered the Warm Camembert with crudités and received bread instead. While there’s nothing wrong with bread, we were surprised to find we were charged £8 for extra bread, especially since a half baguette costs only £0.90! Additionally, we were shocked to see a charge for a bottle that we didn't even order. Although we eventually received a refund for that, it soured our overall experience. Unfortunately, I don't think I'll be returning. Sorry."
