"We have stayed at the Kimberley hotel several times but I was not as impressed this time with the food. Our booking deal included a 2 course meal on the first night. My husband chose battered cod and I had the filleted fish. The battered fish was served lying on top of the chips which had been arranged in a row. He found the batter quite oily/greasy which he did not eat but consequently that had left the chips underneath soggy. My fish was nicely cooked. I was also upset to see that several of the courses had a supplement and therefore not offered in the choices unless an extra cost was incurred which further limited the already limited menu. The wine was also very pricey. I felt the £49 for 2 people sounded a good deal which included a bottle of house wine although the house wine was not advertised as an option to purchase. We chose not to eat in the restaurant on the second night"

Unbelievable value for money. Three courses each and a bottle of wine for £49. Good food as well

The food was excellent, but for me, a misleading menu and absolutely no ambience whatsoever spoiled it for me, sadly View menu

We did not find the dinner-for-two-with-wine available when we arrived. Our meal was of reasonable quality, but at prices matched or bettered by other Bistros in central Harrogate that have better ambiance and wider menus.

Restaurant cancelled our booking with a couple of days notice saying that they were fully booked but hadn’t bothered updating their availability with Open Table! Disgusting example of customer service. Don’t think we will be going there nor will everybody we will be sharing our experience with. View menu

A nice restaurant with friendly staff but were brought the wrong starter three times and had to ask after forty five minutes when the waitress presumed we were asking after main course, very slow service another half an hour for mains;wanted to give a good review but the service was poor and the food was average.

I had the stuffed pepper starter which was very tasty indeed. My husband had the goats cheese starter which was absolutely delicious. We both had the confit duck with the mash potatoes and roasted vegetables. There was nothing wrong with the cooking of it but it was all a little bit too greasy for us. Service was very good. The waiters were most helpful.

"all those people who leave 1 star (or low star reviews) have either extremely high expectations or just have to be out to harm the call of a gem of a sandwich shop. I stopped yesterday, was late for lunch to my surprise and joy that they were still open, was a waiting queue to eat, so I might have been happy that they thought they would do 1 more order. I had the cheese-cutney sandwich couldn't resist the Scotch egg with black pudding. the Scotch egg was phenomenal, black pudding mixed with the sausage meat, a soft egg yolk practically still runny, which I really did not expect to add only to the already large aromene, the egg comes with a small pot homemade brown sauce (ketchup is an option, but I prefer brown soße) also the soße is a normal but it is a manifestation, it is a the sandwich was ineffective, thick-cut cheese on a homemade roll with homemade chutney (I suppose when everything else was made home) filled with fresh salad, I am curious what the difference between this is the ploughman’s, as it was in the round a ploughmans sandwich. the brot, cheese salad were all fresh taste amazing, the chutney transformed it, was like a cross between chutney salsa like the brown sauce was more sweet without much flavor, but really a great amount taste to what was possibly the best sandwich I had ever had! well made youngs, eating is great a try worth. reasonably also consider that it is the center of harrogate."
