"wow. this pub was completely transformed. the South African manager who took it has done wonder. eating is beautiful, really 5 the service is excellent, another manager with his finger on the pulse, his team are attentive and informatiw. Sunday midday, evening three cures meals, whatever they have not dissapointed, weinliste excellent also, clean, really beautiful furniture, really like the fake fur on chairs on the left side, as they go, I always want to sit there! child welcome to 10 of 10. living between hayes and keston I am really spoiled now that eating is in fox"

"hardly a vegetarian selection and what I had was lukewarm and tasteless. none of the workers wore masks that particularly surprised me how most guests I saw do not mask when they went through the restaurant to the toilets etc. the young woman who served us was very pleasant and friendly, but I think we had luck from what I could observe. sad I will not recommend the white hard to anyone who is a shame, as in the deceased we have used it a lot,"

"I have dined here twice—once for a meal and once for a surprise party—and both experiences were delightful. The staff were excellent, the drink prices were fair, and the food was delicious, all set in a pleasant and upscale atmosphere. Plus, they offer gluten-free beer, which is a great option for those with celiac disease! Price per person: £30–40. Food: 5/5. Service: 5/5. Atmosphere: 5/5."

"Restaurant was inviting, festive and warm. The online booking hadn 't worked so they didn 't know we were coming, but found us a table anyway. Saturday lunch, so it was quite busy, but I suspect a second drinks order was forgotten until we reminded them. First glass was (when finished) found to be covered in old fingerprint smears and lipstick marks. Food was generally good, the family enjoyed theirs. I had a wagyu burger which admittedly in a British pub is probably expecting a little much, but it was just a burger, and overcooked. It was tasty, but I wasn 't asked how I 'd like it cooked (which I often have elsewhere and seems to be the norm these days) and it was quite dry. Presumably they can 't say it 's Wagyu unless it actually is, but I think the term is used often casually to mean 'super extra special massaged beer-fed cow meat ' whereas in actual fact it 's just a breed of cattle. So it was just a burger. IT came with bacon which was nicely cooked and actually tasted of smoked bacon (rare these days), and sweet potato fries which were really delicious, crispy and HOT (which is how chips should arrive). Condiments are good quality too. The mains took longer than we would have liked to arrive. All in all, I 'd go back because it 's a nice place, the food is good but needs more attention, and the price is on the high side but still okay. Staff are courteous. more aloof than I would prefer, but probably just right for a lot of people who don 't favour staff interaction much."

"Food is a bit over priced for what it is. I had a cheeseburger and fries. Nothing fancy about it so didn't warrant the £16 price tag. Dessert was lovely but obviously a microwave job. (Sticky toffee pudding) My friend wanted a caramel latte but was offered vanilla as replacement. When it arrived it tasted of cinnamon. We reminded the waitress that we'd ordered vanilla, she said yes. It's spiced vanilla But we hadn't been told that. We had to ASK her to replace it! Not great customer service. Lovely interior and well designed. Very large place with big garden out back- they had tables blocking the door way so not sure how you'd get out there?????"

"The pub wasn’t particularly busy but it took a good 20 minutes before I got up went to the bar are ordered my own. Food took about 50 mins from arriving which again I felt a little slow. Started came without olives to which the waiter said you will have to ask for a discount when you pay, we mentioned this at the end and a different waitress said we haven’t had them all day! So why not tell us that when we ordered! Wife’s roasted celeriac was the size of a starter which for £16 was disappointing. Missed an order of chips for the children which arrived after we complained and had finished eating. Staff generally polite but did seem very distracted by what I assume was a group party. Finally the table we were given in the area we sat in was freezing cold, making the whole thing look experience pretty miserable. Won’t be hurrying back!"

"Went for dinner on a Saturday night in December and selected from the Christmas menu. Mistake one. Cold turkey, hard sprouts and 1 carrot and 1 parsnip between 2 adults. Mistake two. Nearly 2 hours to deliver a 2 course meal, obviously down to booking in as many people as they can to gain profit. Mistake three. Why would a head chef let anything like this leave the kitchen? Surely a so called premium restaurant would have a head chef to stop this happening? Mistake four. Wrote to manager who stated next time we visit, we need to mention this bad experience and they will make sure we have a perfect experience this time. Never heard anything so ridiculous in all my years attending so called premium restaurants. You pay premium prices you expect premium food and service, the Mosbrook is miles off the later."

"As ever, the Black Horse came up trumps. A wonderful experience for the friend I took this time. And thankfully the weather was lovely so that we could sit outside, have a drink and wave at the long boats going by. The only disappointment in an otherwise perfect meal was the minuscule piece of crackling I was served barely visible. I ordered the pork roast because I love crackling and this needs to change. I would recommend the Black Horse without hesitation."

"Disgusting service! My parents eat here on a regular basis so that 's why we decided to go here with the rest of the family. What a massive disappointment. The food was average but the service was awful. After eating our mains, we had been waiting approx 30 minutes for our plates to be collected and our dessert order to be taken. I had to get a member of staff to clear our table and take our order as we had two very youngs children who were getting very restless. The young, female waitress was incredibly rude with a rather large chip on her shoulder for being asked to do what she 's paid for. When we ordered our desserts, she dumped the spoons and napkins on the end of the table and walked off in a sulk. When she was giving our desserts out, my mum asked if her tea would be coming with the desserts to which the waitress replied 'yeah yeah ' and walked off. We had this reply every time we asked her any questions. For the cost of the meal, it was definitely not worth our custom and would strongly advise others not to waste their money at this restaurant. The restaurant clearly don 't care about the disgusting service they are offering and if you need further evidence of this, just look at how they have responded to other bad reviews. There are better restaurants in the area with well mannered staff."

"The Wagamama restaurant in Reading is in a good location close to the Oracle. The place itself was ok but the music was too loud and the atmosphere reminded me of school cafeterias. They have a vegan and gluten-free menu although only one dish was gluten-free and vegetarian/vegan. The quality of the food is good and very fresh. Unfortunately, our table wasn’t cleaned before we were placed so we had to sit next to a lonely shrimp, in addition we weren’t given cutlery for the soup-like curry nor was the staff properly trained to serve wine and drinks. In a nutshell: ok but nothing special or remarkable about this place."

"Having made a booking via OpenTable and receiving a confirmation email, 24 hours later had a phone call from Browns to say they could offer me a table at 5pm or 9pm but not at 7pm which was the time of my booking. No apologies just that the way it is. OpenTable just blamed Browns and said I could always phone the restaurant to confirm a booking, not seeing the ridiculousness of that suggestion as it renders their platform to irrelevance. So I am giving an all round one star, but to be clear we did not eat there."

"Really enjoyed the dirty burger and fries with the dripping sauce! Staff are nice and service was good. Didn't have a great experience last time with an I.D. situation for my daughter and her partner who's birthday it was and 25, had no I'd on her other than a picture of their passports and driving licence on their phone. Which was refused!, so we left, very unhappily. But we have been back and enjoyed it again. Just a shame that night was ruined. However, we will go back. Just make sure if you are lucky enough to not look 30! Have I.D. the service last night was much better. The food is generally very nice. Just don't have the Rumbaba dessert and is is just sponge cake an certainly not what you expect when you have the real thing in Italian restaurants."

"the presentation of eating is good. However, all three sirloin steaks we ordered were boiled over. the service was minimal with only one staff that took service and order. when pouring a bottle of red wine on our weinglas it was as fast as it filled with water and without showing us the bottle and trying it out. inside damentoilette just came out of the kubikal found a male personal cleaning and it scared me. this type of service at hilton was not expected."

"The restaurant is beautifully decorated for Christmas, featuring fairy lights that create a warm and cozy atmosphere. There's an inviting open fire and comfortable sofas where guests can relax with a drink before their meal. The linguine was delicious, though slightly on the sweet side. My friend enjoyed the halloumi cheese bowl, and we both found the meal to be great value for money. The service was friendly and efficient. We are definitely considering returning!"

"The food was very good and the service was polite and friendly. the only issue was the table we where given, as people watches being on the stairway with the constent flurry of staff walking past meant that our experience this time was not to the normal standard. Should i be seated there again i would rather not eat there. i fully understand a table of 2 should not be sat at a larger table but these two tables remove any ambience the restaurant may have. As i was not given the choice when i booked on line i will not be using that format to book again."
