"the renovated asthon is beautiful enough, but their chairs are so stained that it really leaves a bad impression and makes the whole place quite dirty. not an isolated chair all I've seen! eating is fair, but the roasting was not good with hard bark meat and a laughable broth sauce that had never seen brothcrumbs, nor one of the traditional aromen, but rather thrown with milk with a random green crumble. the last time I roasted here, I had to ask for fresh yorkshires, because the ones we all gave were hard-rocked. really do not cook well, I'm sorry. our desserts took minutes to get out, and with what time the accompanying coffees were all finished and we were mentally ready to go. on a positive note, the Servier staff are beautiful and very happy to help."

The Sunday roast at this restaurant is delicious and reasonably priced. We experienced a slight delay even though we had made a reservation, but Nathan, our waiter, was extremely helpful and attentive, keeping us informed during the busy rush. The meal was definitely worth the wait!

We had recently had a bad experience and decided to give it another try. Mistake, the staff that were there were great but again short/under staffed. The Sunday roast, food was hot in places and cold in other places on the same plate. Asked for mint sauce which came 10 mins later. Staff arguing between themselves and customers could hear. We had a lovely Sunday lunch on October with friends. Parking was easy and we received a friendly welcome. The restaurant was busy but service was relatively quick and our male waiter was a gem smiled throughout so was obviously happy in his job. The atmosphere was great, everywhere was buzzing. The ladies' toilets were immaculate! Everything considered, it's a great place to visit whether just calling in for a drink or having a nice meal.

although far away from the work when we arrived, the service was slow, although it was server to save! the food needed long time to be served, and even then it wasn't from a particularly good standard. I had gammon with eggs and pommes. the gammon and eggs were fat and the fries were burned. we finally asked for an eton mess with coffee. After a long wait the coffee was served. long after we had finished the coffee, the eton mess was brought out. we refused to accept it after the long wait that the server threw on the apprentice chef. we paid for what we had, but not happy and unnecessary to say, contained no tipp. will not be in a hurry to visit here again. The renovated Asthon restaurant is pleasant, however, the chairs are so stained that it gives a negative impression and makes the entire place appear unclean. Every chair I saw was in a similar condition. The food is average, but the roast dinner was disappointing with tough beef and a strange bread sauce lacking breadcrumbs and traditional flavors, resembling more of a milk with a random green herb. In a previous visit, the Yorkshire puddings were so hard that fresh ones had to be requested. The desserts took over 30 minutes to be served, by which time the accompanying coffees were already finished and we were ready to leave. On a positive note, the staff is friendly and eager to assist.

Despite the lack of customers when we arrived, the service was slow, even though there were plenty of servers available. The food took a while to arrive and unfortunately, it was not up to par. I ordered gammon with eggs and fries, but the gammon and eggs were oily and the fries were overcooked. We decided to add an Eton Mess with coffee to our order, but the coffee took a long time to be served. By the time the coffee arrived, we had already finished it before the Eton Mess was finally brought out. We refused to accept the dessert after the lengthy delay, which the server attributed to the apprentice chef. We paid for our meal, but were not happy with the experience and did not leave a tip....

"Visited here in Sept 23 for an executive dinner that we were hosting for various senior business leaders. We booked out the whole venue, which was the perfect size and atmosphere for the intimate and exclusive feel that we wanted, plus a convenient location. The TV that shows into the kitchen was fascinating, and the record player was put to use towards the end of the evening! Caroline from the venue helped us organise the event in advance and was great to deal with. We were fortunate with the weather so were able to enjoy a welcome drinks reception out the front of the venue, and have the door open all evening to let the balmy night in. We had the 7 course taster menu and it was simply OUTSTANDING so many of our guests commented on how delicious it was, particularly the beef steak course! It was so tasty that I even enjoyed the fish dish (not usual for me! . Service on the night was exemplary, the courses were brought out at just the right intervals so you weren't waiting ages but also not being rushed. The chef came out to greet us after the final course, which was a lovely touch and meant we could thank him. Overall, we had really great feedback from our guests, everyone loved it thank you for making our event such a success! We would definitely book again, and I know a few of our guests have already recommended it to their own companies for executive dinners! Would not hesitate to recommend."
