"Located inside the Intercontinental Hotel on George Street, this restaurant serves as a breakfast lounge, bar, and dining room. The name of the restaurant is a nod to its history as a printing press. The decor has a slightly dated feel, with dark and dim lighting and retro light fixtures. The drinks menu features cocktails named after famous people and their preferred drinks. However, the food menu is average and uninspired, feeling like it belongs to another era. The dishes themselves fell short of expectations, with the cod appearing undercooked and the accompanying side dish being cold. The charcuterie board also failed to impress. With so many other excellent dining options in Edinburgh, I will not be returning to this restaurant."

This was basically the worst afternoon tea I have ever had.

So happy to see this open again and I love the atmosphere in this place for drinks with friends. Wish their old cocktail menu will be back soon.

We were here for a Christmas meal and the food/service were both good, even though they were clearly understaffed. The staff were very attentive, despite the number of tables they had to serve. It was an enjoyable experience regardless of the staffing issues.

Fine food and lovely place. I had the chicken breast with creamy mash potatoes , cabbage and wild mushroom. It was absolutely Devine, especially the gravy The cod croquette were well balanced in flavour with just the right amount of salt the enhance the flavour of the cod I had the chocolate fondant with a soft vanilla Madagascar I think) ice scream scoop. It wasn’t special but still enjoyable

Absolutely awful. No sanitizer in the dispenser. Slow service, incorrect order and when we pointed out the errors were ‘huffed’ at. No atmosphere and no Xmas decorations inside. Poor choice of cocktails and expensive even for the area. Sad as the last time I was there pre covid had a lovely meal exciting theatrical cocktail and great service. Would not rush back and certainly not recommending.

Turned up for a few drinks to celebrate my partner leaving the armed forces after dedicated service. Unfortunately we were not allowed in as it was ‘too busy’ despite us choosing this venue as it was clearly quieter than other bars in the area. I pointed out the fact there were empty seats however again was told abruptly there was no tables. Customer service was terrible and arrogance levels were high.

I went to this restaurant for a relaxing and upscale evening. Upon arrival, there was some debate among the staff about seating us, which was a bit awkward since the restaurant was not very busy. Nonetheless, the atmosphere was peaceful and the music complemented it well. Our server, who was Italian, was friendly and the food was prepared with high-quality ingredients. However, the dishes were not particularly exceptional.
