"I went to the slug and lettuce in Staines on Friday night for the bottomless brunch. Jack and the twins gave us fantastic service. They kept our drinks topped up, checked on us regularly and were so fun and friendly. The food was very good and at such good value I’m looking forward to my next night out there. 5* guys thank you very much. "When we arrived at the restaurant, the service was lacking as there was no one to guide us to our table. We had to approach a staff member for assistance, but he never came back, so we had to find another staff member to show us to our seats. The food was subpar and some items on the menu were not available. However, the cocktails were the only standout. It was odd that there was no table service, forcing customers to go to the bar to place their orders, which was inconvenient."

"fantastic service and quality authentic eating! quickly messed up, although it went to foot on a Friday night, and both drinks and food orders were taken quickly. the food came and was absolutely delicious; very authentic Italian aromas and generous portions. the staff was fabulous and very friendly. the restaurant was clean and tidy and good for the guests. a very good culinary experience, and we will certainly return when in portsmouth!"

"We visited on Sunday 27th Feb. The staff was really helpful and friendly. I went up to order at the bar and I have to say that it is the stickiest place I've ever visited. The bar was sticky, menus were sticky. I'm not sure what it was but it was on our table menus too. The food was really good. It took a little while so it wasn't really hot. I had Smothered Chicken and my partner had the Rump Steak. My chicken was nice but the peas and chips were cold. We had a bottle of wine we hadn't finished and a really nice boy who had brought us our food allowed us to take it outside to finish it up in the night air. This is a really nice restaurant with good food, a good atmosphere and great staff. Thank you!"

"Aweful experience...i reserved table 10 in advance...on arrival said table was occupied. The hostess invited us to sit any where...which defeats the purpose of reserving the table. The hostess indicated you had to order using the app....which we proceeded to do...after several attemps to pay via the app...we had to pay at the bar. The waiter did not take or cash the complete order....the service was sluggish ...the milk for tea)was spilled on reaching the table...see photo..it was never cleaned...the food was pitiful...not value for money...."

"We had a reservation for 7 PM, but upon our arrival, we were informed that we needed to leave by 8 PM because we had children under 18 with us. This restriction was not communicated to us when we made the reservation. We settled in and thought we could make it work, but when we tried to use the online ordering system, we discovered that the steak was unavailable, and we couldn’t remove it from our order. As we attempted to correct this, the clock was ticking, and by 7:15 PM, we realized we wouldn’t have enough time to enjoy our evening. This led us to leave and try to find another place to eat, which proved to be quite difficult given the current circumstances. In the future, they should clearly communicate any time restrictions for families with children when booking online. I will not be making another reservation here."

"I and my friend had a phenomenal experience in this bar, sitting on comfortable chairs on a classic wooden table! the pattern on the surrounding site is dreamy and there are frames on the walls that show beautiful works of art. old fashion lights on the deck complement the atmosphere and when we visited, the bar had maintained cleanliness throughout. we had a lot of luck that we were able to get a two for the price of a cocktail deal, enjoy a smooth mixed long island ice cream everyone! the meals were delivered in time; I had a fish finger wrap with cloby chips, which to find a delicious, unique meal."

"We have visited this restaurant several times for drinks, but only tried the food once during a night out in Durham. Overall, the food was fine, but it was so long ago that I can't remember exactly what we had. I noticed that someone has now added this restaurant to Happy Cow, so I wanted to share a few thoughts. While this may not be a destination specifically for vegan food, I do remember that they had recently introduced a vegan menu, making it worth a visit. The restaurant is more focused on cocktails and drinks, and is located in a prime spot. Oh, to be young again."

"had a nice time here on a Monday evening. Between two we had a start, two meals and two desserts. for only £15, as it is 50% of food mondays. cheaper than an outlier! eating is restaurant style, but the pub is light and airy with a casual atmosphere.
