"When arriving there is nowhere to say you need to go upstairs for your booking. There were no staff to be seen we just chanced it going upstairs after standing waiting to find someone for 10 minutes. We then waited over an hour for food yet everyone who came in after us we’re served within 20 minutes and even left.. When we asked about where the food was we were asked what we ordered so we said a platter about and 10 minutes later we were bought the wrong one. When I explained this they asked if I had a receipt which I didn’t just the notification on my Apple Pay as they didn’t give me one. I was asked to go to the bar to explain the situation to the person I ordered with who printed the receipt to prove I’d ordered. I had to explain the situation about 5 times to another staff member then the chef and finally the manager. No one actually offered a solution I was just told the kitchen never received the order so I asked can we have the right thing so they said yes yet nothing else was to be offered by them so I said we’ve waited over an hour we’re starving, going to be late is there nothing else you can do they agreed to a drink each but it was awkward to even have had to asked."

"I was pleasantly surprised by this restaurant that is advertised as a cocktail bar, but actually serves real ale accredited by CAMRA's WhatPub. It is currently located under a set of structures around the corner from Oxford Road Station. They offer a great selection of cask ales on hand pumps and other craft beers on draft or in bottles. CAMRA members receive a generous 25% discount, making the prices very affordable. The staff is friendly and there is plenty of space. The cask beer is in excellent condition."

"My friend and I met at Canary Wharf for our first get together for months and we wandered into the Slug Lettuce to ask if they could do us a snack and a drink and they couldn't have been more helpful, especially when we asked if we could move away from an open door as it had gone rather chilly! Shannon looked after us very well with some helpful suggestions and our food and drinks arrived quite promptly. We sat and chatted and felt very comfortable there. Nice and clean, plenty of space between the tables and the background music was nice and low so we could hear ourselves speak."

"When we arrived at the restaurant, we were informed that we needed to pre-order the Mother's Day menu, which had not been mentioned when we made the reservation. It would have been helpful if someone had called ahead to let us know, as we all wanted to try the set roast Mother's Day menu. When we tried to order drinks, the bartender seemed flustered and annoyed, and did not allow us to open a tab. The restaurant had the football game on, which is understandable since it is a sports bar, but it was so loud that we couldn't hear each other speak. This was particularly frustrating as there were families with children present. We asked for the volume to be turned down, and although they did adjust it, it was still very loud. Additionally, they gave us a table for six instead of the seven we had booked for, plus a buggy, without any prior consideration. The only positive aspect of our experience was that the restaurant was clean."

"Then, a man named Dan approached us and rudely placed a 'reserved' sign on our table, saying, "We need this table at 4 PM." When I pointed out we had about 50 minutes left, he responded in a rather condescending manner. I assured him that if we had our food by then, it wouldn't be a problem since we planned to eat and leave, not stay for drinks. Meanwhile, I noticed that a similarly sized table next to us was reserved for 3:30 PM and decorated with Pride accessories. At 3:45 PM, a female waitress approached our table and insisted that we needed to leave. I explained that we had ordered food that hadn’t arrived yet and were still enjoying our drinks. Dan returned, still with an unpleasant attitude, and reiterated that they needed our table due to a booking. I informed him that we were not leaving because we were still waiting for our food. He continued to be rude, asking me what he was supposed to do about the booking. I pointed out that we had already ordered food and that it wasn't our fault if they hadn’t managed their reservations properly; you can’t just slap a reserved sign on a table and expect us to leave. He then told me, "I'll refund your food order," which was completely unacceptable. The entire exchange was uncomfortable, with my daughter witnessing the rude behavior and false statements from Dan, such as him claiming that "upstairs is for bookings only," which was simply not true. I suggested that they could seat the reservation at the table next to us that was still unoccupied, even though it was past the booking time. After walking away, he soon returned to request the reservation card, which I passed to him. He then replaced the reservation card at the next table with our 4 PM booking card. It was that simple. This whole altercation was unnecessary and really put a damper on what was meant to be a celebratory day for me and my daughter. I genuinely believe that Dan needs additional training on handling reservations and understanding that paying customers have the right to occupy a table until their food has been served. We shouldn't have to endure such a hostile experience."

"Ordered roll with bacon and black pudding and since I am vegetarian I ordered a scrambled egg roll. When our order arrived the black pudding was on top of my scrambled egg instead of with the bacon. I told the waiter who brought our food to the table about the mix up, he duly took it away, apologised and returned two minutes later with the same rolls but the black pudding moved to the bacon roll. A chef should know, after explaining I don’t eat meat, that this is not a solution. The remains of the black pudding was clear for anyone to see. I was offered a replacement but I declined and the cost of my roll removed from the bill. We have visited the Pavilion many times since it opened but clearly a chef needs to pay attention to vegetarian/vegan requirements. This practice is not acceptable in an establishment such as this. I would recommend the Pavilion to other people this was just a most unfortunate situation."

"I received a call from the moniker 1 hour before our booking for 6 for christmas lunch informed me that they did not provide tables and would not confirm the booking of opentable. they mentioned that they had problems with opentable in the past, and while they were very repentant for the inconvenience - were completely able to do everything to make this right. it is obvious that the attempt to find a table for 6 during the holiday is near impossible, but I am pleased to report that the corn exchange on 1 minster court was friendly, courteous and able to create a place for us. I would highly recommend to take their business there and stay as far away from the moniker as possible."

"EDIT: Guess when I came here before I was unlucky. Got a good quality medium pasta pepsi for around £5 w/ the discount applied and they've sped up their service since I last came here. Absolutely brilliant! I wish Google did half-stars as this place deserves more than a 3 but doesn't quite warrant a 4. Staff seem a little rushed and disorganised because they seem to receive a lot of orders at once from people phoning in and using Deliveroo etc. Although I did wait quite a while for my pasta and hot chocolate ~20min it was good as a pick-me-up in the morning. Although nothing particularly amazing . Prices are reasonable although a tad on the expensive side? and the 15% Student Discount is very nice. Helps to offset the price a bit I've to try them, but the bagels are quite nice or so I've been told and seen by the fact they're very popular TL;DR Pasta is decent and a decent price, but probably a good idea to order this one through Deliveroo to your dorm/office rather than coming down here in person."

"We decided to sit outside at the restaurant, which turned out to be a good choice at first due to the weather. However, be cautious if you think it might rain, as the umbrellas may not provide full coverage if you sit at the edge. The selection of starters was excellent, so much so that both my dining companion and I opted to have two starters each instead of a main course. I indulged in the delicious baked camembert with garlic bread sticks, followed by the crab and avocado dish which was very tasty. My dining companion thoroughly enjoyed the mackerel and mussels. For dessert, the sticky toffee pudding with custard (not ice cream as listed on the menu) was a hit, although a bit more custard would have been ideal. The Eaton Mess dessert was too sweet for both of us, despite our sweet tooth. The atmosphere was peaceful, aside from a slight disturbance from another table. The restaurant offers a nice view by the riverside, and I would definitely consider returning in the future."

"One of the best burgers I’ve had in London. The place was packed at night so I got a takeaway. Waiting time is average as there were a lot of take outs as well. Very friendly staff and helpful. I tried the Smokey burger which was delicious. The patty was perfectly cooked to medium as requested. The burger is extremely juicy and very rich in ingredients. It is very fulfilling. The chips are perfectly seasoned and crunchy. Prices are fair. Overall, a must try burger. Highly Recommended!"

"Ordered The Great Double deal for 2 large pizzas, 1 American Hot and 1 Seafood all for £26.99 Pricing is OKAY considering this is suppose to be the largest pizza. We ordered through Ubereats, there wasnt much info on the size of the pizzas or what kind of toppings the pizza had from the vague title given on the app. So it was like taking a shot in the dark as it was our first time ordering pizza from Tops. Delivery time took its full 40mins 10mins, but delivery guy from motorbike was nice. American Hot was quite pleasant actually, we orded thin crust but crust was not really thin. Seafood pizza on the other hand... felt extremely cheap, I was expecting some calamari, mussels and other types of seafood bc it is seafood . It looked like Tops uses canned tuna fish and those cheap little shrimps you get from Iceland. Top that with some slices of tomato which I didnt expect, and I dont think my pizza had any base/sauces as I did not taste anything but the doughy bread, cheese and TUNA. I didn 't really enjoy my seafood pizza, but American Hot was not bad. I don 't know if I 'd want to try the other pizzas in the menu, maybe another day when I 'm not sober."
