"Had a meal for one which was excellent value... alongside the pizza there was chicken wings and potato wedges with a dip. These were absolutely delicious and tasted as if they were just off a bbq. They were also a substantial portion a meal in themselves. All delivered hot and were lovely. Would order again."

"If you have ever been to Italy you will recognise Oregano as being authentic in every respect- the interior and table decorations are plain and decidedly un-fancy, but don't let the plastic table covers stop you from getting the best Italian food in Islington. Everything about this place transports me to Florence; The wine is served in dinky tumblers, the beers are Italian brands such as Nastro Azzuro, the staff are all Italian born and bred, the bread basket contains grissini in plastic packaging, and the food Oh the food The pizzas- out of this world. Proper wood fired thin crust pizzas with top quality produce on them; from the home-made tomato sauce and fresh mozzarella to the chargrilled peppers and various meats used, everything is fresh, delicious and so vastly superior to the usual pizzas we get unceremoniously flung at us in this country that it's a wonder any of the other pizza purveyors in Islington are still in business- I guess being tucked down an alleyway and looking rather unimposing means Oregano is a well kept secret. As for the rest of the menu, everything is incredible. The pasta is made fresh on the premises and comes with authentic Italian sauces such as the knee-knockingly delicious ragu. The steaks are chargrilled and huge, the fish is fresh and light- I challenge anyone to go here and not have a fantastic, cheap, grin inspiring meal. I would love to give Oregano more praise but I'm getting hungry just thinking about the place, but I'll end with one more insight into just how fantastic, relaxed and, without wanting to sound cheesy, quaint this place is- the staff put up with me practising my Italian on them whenever I come into the restaurant, saving me money on expensive refresher lessons after stopping my linguistic studies many years ago. Friendlier, more attentive staff cannot be found in any other Islington eatery, guaranteed, and if you can prove me wrong I'll eat my hat [as long as it comes smothered in that heavenly ragu]."

"I came here on a midweek evening with a friend. It wasn't particularly busy tables max were occupied.Food I had the special a meat and pasta dish which was unfortunately swimming in its own grease, but it was passable.A latemiddle aged man was serving, who was helpful and friendly, but was obviously rushed off his feet he may even have been doing the cooking and serving at the same time. A latemiddle aged woman, who turned out to be the owner, was sat outside with her dog and a friend. Towards the end of our meal, she moved inside. She later turned her hand to waitressing, but this was evidently not her forte.When we'd finished, our polite request to split the bill seemed to create a massive drama for her, I'VE PUT IT THE SUM INTO THE CARD MACHINE NOW, she snapped. After her meltdown, she handed the job to her presumably employee, to whom she spoke like he was a dog. I really felt for him.She proceeded to slag us off to her friend, even though we were sat only about metres away from them, in the same quiet room. Either she is a bitter individual, or was just having a bad day and took it out on us. Regardless, she had a mare and I would not recommend the place.No problem with the nodoubt longsuffering guy though"

"On Friday, May 10, 2024, we placed an order at 10:43 PM. The order was accepted, but the order tracker informed us at 11:30 PM that our order had been cancelled. By midnight, we still had not received any food or email confirming the cancellation. It was frustrating not knowing if our order would be delivered or not, especially after already waiting 50 minutes. It's not the kind of game I want to play on a Friday night. We decided to wait for a refund and order from another restaurant before they closed. We were very disappointed with the experience."

"For quite a long time Papa Johns was my favourite for pizza. It was always a 10/10 but I have to admit that for a few months the quality has been getting worse and the length of delivery time has been increasing. After today, following a one hour wait and phone call to the store, the food was cold and the buffalo wings were clearly just plain wings smothered with sauce, also cold. It was a total waste of money. Aylesbury Papa Johns is only getting worse and worse and needs to get a grip as this will only lead to losing business irreparably."

"So I went to place my first order and was very disappointed by the service and quality of the pizza. It clearly states on the leaflet buy one and get one free but apparently that’s not the case, I was told that on the 18inch the offer is not available and was also told that Margherita price is higher than that stated on leaflet , I questioned it and the guy couldn’t find it written anywhere on the leaflet so basically I ended up paying for two pizzas !!! So much for the offer lol.... i did point out that the leaflet offer is very misleading !!!it’s my fault, I should have stuck with Dominos, cheese on these margaritas is really cheap , tastes like plastic, I’m afraid I won’t be going there ever again"
